As powerful as the long 88 was, the IS-2 had very tough frontal armor. On the IS-2 1943 the upper front plate was almost as strong as the one of the Tiger II. The latter had 150 millimeters of armor at an angle of 60°. The IS-2 had an upper front plate 120 millimeters thick, sloped at 15° followed by a a middle front plate 70 millimeters thick, sloped at 60°. The only weak spot on the IS-2's hull front armor was the lower front plate, made of 100 millimeters of armor sloped at 30°. The long 88 was able to punch through this section of the armor at a reasonable distance though.
While the tiger weakness is at the turret whic have pretty flat armor with thickness around 160-180 mm i believe. But so does the is2 especially the frontal part where is the armor are not angled and flat.
Like ong the 120mm has APFSDS which are long ahh rods or arrows that can pen almost anything, but the game is also realistic in ricochets so i think its actually possible, its just funny.

Which is what doesn't make sense . If you observe the tiger 2's turret, u see that it is slanted sideways from the front which makes it impossible to penetrate with the IS 2 88 mm cannon. And there were historical battles between the IS 2 and tiger 2 And in all battles, the IS 2 was never superior to the tiger 2 except for their mobility

it can kill the tiger 2 from its 122mm, the armor of IS-2 isn't well armored tho more prone to being penned or spalled, but both are same, they can kill each other its just tactics and strategy on real time and places that differentiates wether one dies because the tank was hiding (Like the TIGER II) but the same can be said on the IS-2 if they spot the tiger ii first. So the answer, if one spots first. They shoot and kill first, and depending on the gun if its small the mm/cm or big in loading.
