    I've had several EVO & DJI gimbals for my iPhones 10-12 Pro Max. I just picked up the Zhiyun Weebill 2 two weeks ago. I like it, the way it sets up and feels. I had to purchase the handle and the Ulanzi Claw Quick release which cost less than $30.00. This assures that as long as I don't change the lens, I can remove and place my Canon 5D Mark IV back on the gimbal without re-balancing. I also purchased a. 5.5" Super Lightweight Field Monitor for about $130.00 so I don't have to used the LCD screen on the Canon. Keeping a couple of those big Sony batteries handy as the monitor will use some power. What I've found is that these gimbals, like computers, will always improve so I purchase based on a two-year usage plan with the expectations that I will be purchasing a newer model or different brand altogether at that point. For those who don't want to have the latest and greatest which show up without fail annually, this Weebill 2 looks like it will last for some time if properly and carefully used.

  • @pf4773
    @pf4773 Před 3 lety +1

    Trying to balance a gimbal without this type of visual help is a pain-so thanks! Regarding ALL of the add ons, follow focus, image transmitter, multiple wires, multiple plates, honestly, if I can see what I'm shooting through the camera's back monitor screen I won't need any of these things. Follow focus is not that great anyway, and why can't I just track the subject myself?!
    I just find that by the time one is done assembling all of those components the gimbal just looks like a mess. I think that this is a problem with the Weebill 2, among other gimbals. All of these wires and the motors should be already integrated into the gimbal body so they don't show! So, instead, Zhiyun should sell two types of gimbals, ones that are bare and ones that have all these features...but BUILT IN! At this point I think I will stick to the basic model. Also, the new weebill 2 is much heavier than the weebill s (the older model), in fact heavier than two other gimbals of this type, no longer so small and portable.

    • @evermoremedia
      @evermoremedia  Před 3 lety

      some users definitely do need the addons for their use case while others just need the basic kit with the just the gimbal. for something the the BMPCC series the follow focus is definitely usefull while for the sony's you can do without the follow focus.

    • @evermoremedia
      @evermoremedia  Před 3 lety

      If you have no use for the transmitters you can just get the gimbal. The transmitter will be useful in situations where you want to go light and don't use a monitor or if you need to give a director or someone else a remote feed of the shot in real time. If your use case doesn't envolve these, you don't really need the transmitter

    -Para la pantalla de información de salida HDMI, desactivado la resolución HDMI, seleccione 1080p
    -El control remoto de la PC con cámara, seleccione ON
    -Se recomienda desactivar la revisión automática.

    Thanks for your thorough video on the Weebil 2. So I've updated the firmware for both my Sony FX3 and the Weebil 2 (v1.84). I've tried connecting the camera to the gimbal many times to no avail. It keeps saying "check connected device" and I'm using the USB-C to USB-C cable. What's weird is that on the Weebil Lab and the Weebil 2s there is an option to choose which camera you'll be connecting to (Canon, Sony, Panasonic, etc) but on the Weebil 2 menu screen there is nothing that I can find of that sort. If you have a solution, that would be greatly appreciated because I would love to control my camera from the gimbal handle itself the way you have mentioned it here. Thank you in advance! Best, Julius

    I think the only thing keeping me from upgrading is the fact that you can't use the wireless image transmission module with a monitor that isn't the Zhiyun one. I would like to use something like my Feelworld or a SmallHD monitor with focus peaking and false colors, etc.

      I am in Canada but was born in 🇬🇭. You can use an external monitor and the screen at the same time by running the hdmi from the camera to the external monitor first then from the monitor hdmi out to the image transmission module. It's a bit of a mess with the cabling though. I am also doing some testing to see if the image transmission receiver from the weebill s will work with the new one.
