Great tips; thanks. I just bought a place near Taos with an adobe house with a straw bale addition. There's an unfinished-interior, 125 sq ft Earth bag, shed-roof workshop too. Now I have an idea of how to treat the walls of that room. What are the horizontal boards every so often in the place in the video?
Thanks and that's aweseome! We love Taos... only a little over 2 hours from us. Good luck with it! Those horizontal boards are nailer boards to fasten things like outlets, lights, etc... good question!

Some of them are dirt but most are scoria which is pumice rock.
At the end of the vid, y'all are working a wall towards a part that looks already done and dried, do you need to do anything special at that joint? Or will that not matter?
The wall that looks already done is a base coat. There will be a final troweled coat on top of that. On round walls the entire section needs to be completed in one go or seams will show.
