  • In this video we revisit Andy and Elizabeth's Scoria bag build and go over their process of pouring the adobe floors. More on this to come! #naturalbuilding #adobe #earthenfloor #alternativebuild #nobuildingcodes #saguache #scoriabag #earthbag #crestone
Link to the Nito project video with Sukita Reay that Andy mentions... great video!

i have seen the nito project floor videos a couple of times before to get things right, but seem to always overheard the part with the 10%clay. thanx for pointing that out. your videos focus less on the art of video making, but you are strong on the information part👍
i have some minor cracking in the first room i did, thinking about filling them with white lime, could look awesome or terrible, not sure yet.
Hope you’re doing a video about the final stages like i mentioned in the newest video of yours.

Hi there! I’ve been using radiant heat under Adobe floors for 20 years and have never had problems. I’ve never filled the tubing though- hadn’t thought of that but still no problems.
I’ve always done permitted houses so used plumbers. They look at me kinda funny and ask me to sign off on liability sometimes.
I’ve never tamped a floor though. Just mud over crusher fine.
    Thanks for sharing!

Can you use the Tadelakt lime as a top coat for floors?

I believe you can... I've only seen it on walls out here but found a few videos online focusing on it with floors... check them out!
