    He had limited ability but made the most of it. You've gotta give him credit for that.
    He also seems like a genuinely decent guy as well. His mental health battle have been tragic but it's good to see that he appears to be doing well again these days.

    0:15: It's ironic that one of the first things Bruno mentions in this video is "bobbing and weaving, slipping and sliding"...skills he never learned. Too stiff, too upright, too easy to hit. His raw power and underrated jab often compensated for these flaws, but Tyson, Lewis and Witherspoon all capitalised on them.

    • @trebleking1641
      @trebleking1641 Před 2 lety +2

      You're quite right, he didn't develop any of those. He probably thought, him and his trainers, that his physique and punching power would be enough, but sadly it wasn't. He was too stiff, and has a chin like a chandelier.

Or lewis wooping him and making him quite his dreams of being a champ. He only got to a piece of the title by nsrrowly beating a second tier champion and lost it in his 1st defence if I recall so yeah never saw him fight. Dint get me wrong he could punch and was quite durable but wasnt known for being the most gutsy fighter so take off the glasses of nostalgia because you probably grew up watching him fight

      Garbage really? you dont know what youre talking about
      In 45 fights he ko'd 38 of his opponents,he only ever lost 4 fights and those were to current or future world champions,and 2 of those 4 are among the most outstanding heavyweight champions ever (Lewis & Tyson)
      and Bruno even came close to sparking both of those two
