  • Finally getting to share my experiences with the Arturia Audiofuse Studio.
    Yes, it has been more than a week since I got this thing, but considering the world and where its at, you may have to forgive a bit.
    This thing is PREMIUM through and through.
    18 in/20 out with literally EVERY bell and whistle that could have been included.
    But there is one thing about this that makes it a no brainer....

    Looks good to me for four mics and radio situation type application, and 70db! though I have recently gone for an id22, like three days ago! I find the log pots a bit strange, not used to them yet. All I'm doing is audiobooks and pod drama remotely so it's fine, can be expanded to ten pres at a cost. Nice vid!

    Thanks for this review. After an exhaustive review of something to replace my octa-capture, I’m down to this or an ultra lite mk5 (backordered into my sunset years?). Any opinion on sonic comparisons? How do they sound? This is usb 3.0 I believe. How is the latency on this device? Any readings? I’m a little confused on their effects bundle. Are those just plugins for my daw? Its not a dsp, so you can’t print them right? Not sure I grasp this. And most importantly how is getting some tech assistance from Arturia these days? They used to be bad 5-10 yrs. ago. Motu is in the US and has a pretty good rep. Thanks for your time and thoughts.

    I've had mine for over a year now. I'd say, it's probably the best interface under $3K. To get better with a comparable feature set you're looking at Focusrite Red, newer RME stuff, etc. PLUS a dedicated monitor controller. $3K+

    Great review, thanks. The smaller AudioFuse Rev2 is said to generate a lot of heat, which scares me. Does the Studio run cooler?

    • @DarkCornerStudios

    Because of this and other similar videos, we took the plunge and went for the AudioFuse Studio you are showing above coming from the Focusrite Scarlette series. We will be using this predominantly for live streams with OBS and some recordings. Now, with regards to the 4 front inputs, are these mono jacks or stereo? If we want to connect a keyboard (stereo outs), do we need to use 2 of these front jacks (to keep the stereo separation) or if the jacks are stereo, we can simply go out of L&R outputs from the keyboard into a TRS that plugs into one of the AudioFuse's inputs (if the jacks are stereo) or occupy 2 inputs (in1 and in2) of the AudioFuse if the jacks are mono? Thanks again for the education you provide to our community.

    • @DarkCornerStudios

      Each input is mono

    • @AjamSonic
      @AjamSonic Před 2 lety

      @@DarkCornerStudios Thanks. So if we want to connect keyboards, we would need to use the inputs on the back, correct? Now if we do that and have our mic in one of the front MONO jacks, how do we get OBS (or any streaming software) to see BOTH signals at the sea time?

    Great review! i'm very undecided to buy arturia studio or rme ufx II...i have to produce my music and record saxophone using ribbon, dynamic and condenser microphones..so gain and quality of preamps are two features very important ..could you help me to take my decision between arturia and rme? Thank you!

      Honestly you are better off going for the one has the better fit for your setup.
      Does either have more features you need?
      As for the preamps...there will be almost no difference between the two.

    • @DarkCornerStudios
      @DarkCornerStudios  Před 4 lety +2

      Thats a fair question and one that I struggle with when reviewing interfaces.
      Honestly the sound will be indistinguishable over CZcams.
      Its crystal clear...and can only really be tested in high gain situations.
      Honestly there would be such miniscule differences between this and a much cheaper interface.
      Honestly what separates them is the feature set...
      Which is why the selling points on these models is gain...ein and signal to noise ratio.
      So yeah...

      @@javiescobargonzalez Okay so, I've had the AudioFuse Studio for a year now. It's definitely a premium interface. The software Control Center does everything you need it to do. Yes, there is zero latency but I also must remind you of two things. One, it's important that you have a capable PC with good memory and a high end CPU. These two components play a factor in zero latency. Secondly, you must configure the proper sample rate and buffer size. Once you do a little research on these two settings in relationship to your PC's specs, maybe a little trial and error, everything should be perfect.
      FYI, when recording vocals, I set the volume on my interface for a proper mic level. Then with my headphones plugged into the interface, I use the software to adjust proper listening volume for playback. Turning the volume UP on the interface and USB volume down on the software. That way I get the perfect volume to hear myself when recording vocals. trust me, it's very simple and straightforward. The AF Studio is a pretty solid and sexy piece in the lab.

      Today i received my Audiofuse Studio and tested it with my M1 Mac Mini with 16GB RAM and 1TB ssd. It just didn't work even though i updated the drivers and tried different connection methods with it.
