Hi! I always like to improvise with the clarinet with some of your songs and I was wondering which mouthpiece and reed are you using for your clarinet,
All the best from Basque Country

I loved the combinated sounds :)
I am looking into buying a handpan to record on a looper with my clarinet (and other instruments). Could you help me by answering the 3 following questions?
    1. What is the material of your hand pan? (Raw Steel/Steel coated/Nitrided/Stainless Steel)
    2. What is its scale? (Dorian/Ake Bono/Equinox etc.)
    3. What is its frequency (440Hz vs 432 Hz) and does it matter to play with a clarinet?
    Thanks!

      Heay Jérémy,
      1. The handpan in the video is an original PANArt Hang and is therefore Pang Material - Nitrided Steel.
      2. The scale / model is the Integral Hang, otherwise known as D Kurd, D Minor or A phrygian.
      3. The frequency is tuned to the standard 440Hz. Yes it matters if you want to play with other instruments tuned to 440Hz that cannot be tuned otherwise. A clarinet has a little bit of room to flatten by a couple of cents, but not much.
      Good Luck,
      Samantha

      Hey there,
Sorry for the very delays response.
Great that you are looking to get a handpan - maybe you already have a beautiful instrument you are happy with by now.
      to answer these questions:
      1. It's an original PanArt Nitrided instrument in this video. But we also have other Nitrided and stainless steel instruments. We particularly love the new Ember Steel from Ayasa.
      2. The scale is D Kurd (A Phrygian)
      3. 440 Hz. If you want to play with other istruments such as woodwind, then yes, it matters. All orchestral instruments are also tuned to 440Hz and whilst you can adjust the pitch slightly, not enough to sound fully in tune with one another.
I hope this helps, if not too late,
All the best and good luck.
