I am enrolling my nine year old son and I into Jiu Jitsu because of this video. I just talked to him about it, he is stoked. Starting immediately. Thank you Jocko, thank you Rana!
Awesome dad. Your son is very lucky
It's hard but stay with it and it'll get way more fun
My unsolicited advice with a 8 and 10 year old in bjj is to not push them. If they have a bad day or are just not feeling it, we skip a class. But I remind them that it’s a life skill like learning to swim
@@OneNvrKnoz I started Martial arts as a young kid and was pushed out of it by excess pressure from my parents. I will be careful. I have those same tendencies. Thanks for the advice, I will take it to heart.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You can see the tear forming in his non-shooting eye.
Lol 😂 Fr lol
Perfect callback!

That was really funny, lol!
Brilliant!
Imagine being the guy she brings home to meet the parents and there's Jocko. 😳
Good
@@danielbrown9368 lmao
Lol that’s gonna be a rough day…… for that guy
Imagine being the Man/Guy that knows who Rama IS. Then asks her out. Then meets Jocko in the house. That Guy is an Alpha, or very soon Ramping up the Game.
Pleasure to meet you. Now, let's roll.
Jocko doesn't cry, the air around his eyes bleeds clear.
i don't get the crying thing.... Like, why? wouldn't you just high-5 instead? why the crying? what is causing the tears? Someone needs to explain this to me.
I heard Chuck Norris cries after Jocko lets him.
@@coyoboyo i'm just never gonna get the crying thing... maybe I'm missing a gene of something. could be...
@@andrabook8758 Maybe you’re just a Homicidal Maniac, which in that case, I’m notifying the Authorities
@@andrabook8758
It’s really not that hard to understand. When you nurture someone from their earliest stages of life it’s natural to have a lot of overwhelming feelings when they accomplish something/ make you proud. I can imagine that it also reminds you of your younger days as well. Not much of a crier myself but when I have a kid and they graduate I can guarantee there’ll be a tear at my eye when I think about all the growing they’ve done.
Dang, Echo looking dangerous as hell. He seems so chill on the podcast but standing there he looks like a straight up killer. I’m planning on attending this camp next year.
Hope to see you there!
“Bcuz I’m highly trained” ifyky
He's just standing there. _Menacingly!_
Amidst that line of other killers- even Bernardo Faria was back there!
@@matthatake6227 “so whats stopping me from taking out my man echo Charlie over here”
That’s a heck of a proud dad moment! Your daughter works her tail off and has earned that victory!
chart
I was so focused on the speech that I didn’t notice the amount of talent that’s around Jocko... holy shit man those are all killers
Well yeah jocko was literally a professional killer outside of BJJ so….
same i was so focused on jocko and then i was like ohhhhhh shit
is that the king, Kron Gracie up there?
@@bryanpinto4051 yes sir
I saw the title and I had to see this before it gets taken down.
😂
Already on its back in open guard. Don’t worry. No Judy players here
2:46 biggest smile ever from Dean
Lmao
I've actually met Dean lister, we were lucky enough to have him come do a seminar at my gym and let me tell you. He is like the most down to earth guy you'll meet. Super funny, super humble, which is funny because he is a straight up killer.
I love how Jocko was about to hiptoss his daughter at the very end
Yeah was like you earned that belt but you have more to earn...
I hope it was finished, the belt slapping and hipthrow from instructors at the end is good to have something to ground.
Doesn't let the promotion get into your head, most people quit after they think they've "achieved" even though it's just the beginning.
don't know about bjj, but I've seen this tradition in judo. Everybody can throw those who earned their promotions at the end of the training
🥋supercool
Being tactical
Truly a rich man to promote his daughter. Be further blessed Sir and thank you for your service.
Family is wealth!
When a child doesn't have to worry whether their father is proud of them, it is the best feeling in the world. I hope I can be a father like Jocko to my unborn daughter.
I never gave a shit.
@@HC-wo2tz who asked?
@@LowVisGunfighter Your unproud father lol
@@HC-wo2tz Cute that’s funny
@@LowVisGunfighter Thanks.
Jocko needs to have Bernardo Farria on his podcast. I can see him in the back. I’m sure it would be a huge honor for him!

That’s a dad love ! My daughter isn’t a fighter but she can shoot very well. My Turkey hunter ! My step SON IS A USMC DECORATED Officer aviator WHO I HELP RAISE since 4 yrs old . 3 of us worked it all out w no fighting ! Respect my kids so much. This is how we grow on the wisdom of life ! God bless all of you Dads !
Brawley loves Jocko and the Willink family! Thank you for bringing recognition to our little brawlin Brawley farm town🇺🇸💪
Germany now loves Brawley too. 😍
She's so lucky to have such an amazing masculine role model, she will always be protected and provided for and will have an amazing mentor and parent for as long he lives! Your an inspiration Jocko
She will take care of husband very well
She's got all the good stuff from Jocko. Badass.
I love how he throws her at the end... total dad move
WTF... I AM crying. My daughter is only 1.5yo but I already feel immense pride in the small steps shes taking. Can only imagine what it must be like for Jocko. Respect
My daughter just turned one and I feel you there. In one fell swoop she is the only thing I care about.
As a dad I have to believe that was a great moment. Congrats.
I feel like Jocko’s the type of dad to be like “if you can hold me off for 2 minutes I’ll let you take my daughter on a date👁👁" with those beady eyes staring into your soul 😭
He would just double leg the guy and if he couldn't get out of bottom position he can't date her.
@@JesusChrist2000BC well you would know wouldn’t you Jackie. You think you could take him? Or better yet, you think he could take you???😤

I love how echo watches over Jocko. Protecting thy brethren!
As a guy that has two daughters, nothing better than tears with smiles. That means something really good happened. Oss.
Ok, after many videos,I'm convinced that Dean Lister sees laughing as a weakness 🤣🤣🤣
This is just beautiful. A dad and his little girl will always have a soft spot in my heart. Jocko is a great dad and you can tell by the way his daughter looks at him. I love this!
She is radiating happiness. So lovely to see.
Jocko lived a good well rounded life. These little moments are inspiring and educational imo
Everyone starts to form a gauntlet for the belt whipping.
_Jocko stares unblinking and clears his throat loudly_
Everyone immediately sits back down.
Congratulations, awesome dad moment! Much respect!
Beautiful. I totally lost it when I strapped one around my 19yr old son. One of the most powerful gifts you can give your children, is a love and passion for Jiujitsu. 👏
That’s so awesome as a father of 2 daughters myself. I was only able to get my oldest on the mats with me for a short while, as her true passion was competitive cheer, but man she was a sponge. Her flexibility and ability to retain body motions after only being shown once was amazing to watch as a father. And it was a great feeling to watch my mat brothers take her under their wing like a room full of uncles. She still reflects fondly of her time on the mats as well. I’ll probably never get her back in there seriously but possibly some Saturday open mats to keep her mind sharp. I can only imagine the happiness filling his heart as he was able to tell her story and promote her like that, absolutely awesome!
I'm in the same boat. My daughter is in love with cheer and comp gymnastics but I really want her to try Jiu-jitsu. They learn so quickly and I wish I would have started when I was her age, 8 years old.
Jocko is pouring so much love, admiration, respect and adulation into her daughter. So awesome!!!
There aren't enough words to say how awesome this is, from Jocko's growth to allowing her to find her own passion and then embracing that torch and shining! As a martial artist that also has a son who loves training BJJ, this made my eyes water. Well done Sir!
That is absolutely amazing, Big Dog! I am proud to have been able to promote my son when I was teaching too. The flashbacks to my adventure of chasing that black belt, and then tying that into my son's first leg of that journey...felt that full0-circle feeling, coming around again for the next generation...powerful moment. Congratulations to you and your daughter, both!!!
So freaking bad ass! You are an inspiration Jocko and it reflects on your daughter.
Beautiful. And so true.
My kids became musical theater kids and musicians.
And I happy for and proud of them.
I'm still hoping I'll be able to train my grandkids!
This is good stuff and every parent can feel it. I'm happy for both of them.
Shoot, I'm not even a parent and I can feel it
Omg the legend is there!!!???? Bernardo is the absolute GOAT
That’s AWESOME!! What Jocko said at the start about “letting people find their way” was excellent. 🤗
As if I needed another reason to like Jocko and Origin. Well done!!
What a great moment for his daughter! Love it
Congratulations! Beautiful moment, thanks for sharing it with us.
I love it! Make it hard, tough, and unforgiving. Because when you overcome it, it’s all the more sweeter and all the more deserving.
Oh yeahhhh! I love this! Let's go girl! Stay on the path!!!!
I was promoted to blue belt last Saturday... but i feel like this woman would tear me a new one. Congrats to her promotion and this is a new beginning
Congrats Bro. thats no easy task!
I can feel your pride, and cheer her on to a wonderful life👍
Just outstanding!! HUGE Dad moment, damn good work Rana!! Get Some!
Hell yeah!!! Got me in the feels !
Bernando be like: "Huuugeee honor for me to be at your daughter promotion today..."
Huge honor for me. I love the way you transitioned from a speech to the promotion. That’s something I don’t see very often.
She is awesome! Mad respect congratulations
That’s so outstanding!!! I’m so happy for her congratulations
All my kids train BJJ and kickboxing. My almost 7 year old started at 3 because he saw me and his brothers doing it. All my kids plus me do competitions too.
I think competitions are key though to really progress. You learn what works or doesn’t. The kids love doing competitions too. The oldest is 14 does the advanced divisions.
Do you not worry about brain damage in the case of kickboxing? That is the only reason why I would avoid competition in any martial art involving striking.
@@MIbra96 To add to this, firas Zahabi head coach of tristar gym (arguably best MMA gym worldwide) will not let his own children train Striking including strikes to the head for this very reason. He has videos detailing this check them out
The old Jocko would've made his daughter give a speech at the end, the real Jocko knows to ask kindly, he is truly a warrior in a garden.
Massive congratulations to Rana, that's such an amazing bond you guys have, so lucky!
Gives her a hug then pretends to hip throw her. What a great dad. Smiled watching this entire video 🥹
Awesome! Thanks for bringing it every day, Brother!
Jocko is the Ultimate Hype Dad
Real men cry! Let's go!!!!
No
We're all not crying!!!!! Beautiful moment, thx for sharing!!!
congratulations! much love and respect 🙏 ❤️
Love it! I returned to jiu-jitsu last year after more than a decade off for two reasons. After losing my father that year, I decided my health must be at its best, so that I'm there for my sons as long as possible. And the other reason, to become a purple belt by the time they're ready to start training, so I can pass along the details of each technique. It has been difficult (I'm not young anymore), yet very rewarding. Keep training!
Salute to your persistence. I have been training men and women in Judo and Jujitsu for close to 25 years and I see as my mission passing on the skills, mindset and life philosophy to my students.
Its a journey that can takes some strange twists and turns but I am glad you are on the path again. I find martial arts to be calming and keeps me sane in a crazy and sometimes cruel world, but while you are on the mat the world outside disappears.
Why does it seem that you quit not only because your father passed but by doing this crap it was harming your health . ??????
I returned to the mat after I lost my dad, to maximize my health. I was pretty healthy already, but if I can add a few more years to whatever I have left, then all the better.
@@stangdude5593 sorry I read your comment wrong . However I disagree that this pass time will make you more healthy if any thing it has a great potential for life changing injure. Do you agree ?
My core, particularly my lumbar, has never felt better. I inadvertently lost weight around my waist. Not a lot, but 10-15 lbs. However, you're not wrong. I'm now facing a knee surgery. Not sure how I want to go out in this thing called life; in perfect shape, or ready to give my broken body back.
She’s the man!!!👍🏼
Bless you and your family!! Congratulations 😃💯🔥
That smile on his face says everything. Fierce warrior......also proud dad.
This gives me weird feelings & I’m a purple belt dad. Jiujitsu is one of the constants in my life. Thanks Jocko!
Jocko’s daughter is a killer? GOOD.
We'd all be lucky to have a dad like Jacko, straight up!!
Way to go girl!!! Great job dad and for your love!!!
damn jocko really knows how to speak to large crowds.
Army experience, he was instructor.
You must speak loudly to hungry young men warriors.
He's military.. Thats All they do is congratulate themselves before an audience, this is pure military.
That’s fucking awesome get some 🤘🤘
I’m an osteopath. I find it fascinating how similar martial arts and osteopathy are. It’s about applying force through levers and fulcrums to the human anatomy to achieve physiological changes. Martial arts is applying those forces to put pressure on blood supplies, nerves and lock out joints. An osteopath apply forces to alleviate pain on joints, make space on the nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics.
Bernardo is paying as much attention as I've ever seen.
I have three daughters, I’m 42 and going to be starting Jiu Jitsu! Hopefully 🙏🏾 they will join me, if not the path will be waiting! As always Jocko inspires!
I have two girls. Both young and I am 52. I started a couple years ago and it is amazing. I have learned so much about myself. It is eye opening and life changing.
Not First.
GOOD.
😂
Great principle. Needed to hear that. Thanks Jocko, and congrats to the girl!
Love it, absolutely love it
God bless jocko latern and mini jocka latern..
💙👍👏
Jiu-jitsu is starting to turn into this weird cult that other martial arts don't have.
Do you even know what qualifies a cult?
Probably not.
This is nowhere near what an actual cult is.. but i dont expect you to know that jackie chan.
Jiu Jitsu is the most important thing you can give to your kids Jocko? It's great, but there are more important things in the grand scheme of life.
He is so proud of her.
I rarely take the time to thumbs and it's even more rare I comment. This definitely deserves both. 👏
That was awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Bless u and ur family... outstanding role model...
You're such a hard ass with a great heart , Love you man. Much respect to you and your daughter.
It was a huge honor for Bernardo.
What a bunch of….awesome people! Congratulations!
Inspiration for parents of younger kids. An example of what good looks like. Thanks Jocko
The little fakeout trip at the end. Too cute.
Congratulations to the both of you !
Amazing! :) I love how Jocko goes for the takedown in the end! haha
Rana is amazing! I just started and she helped me out so much during one of my first classes at victory! ❤
What an elite group. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely love this ❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👊🏼
Congratulations on promotion!!! Your dad is a awesome role model!!!
Family love. Beautiful. The greatest gift is leading to the ultimate salvation.
Damned Jocko iam trying to look tuff here but this brings tears to my eyes. My son started at the age of 4 and is loving it ever since. My daughter just quit Jiu Jitsu because of work school and time with friends she is 16 now i hated that decision but she will be back after her grades are getting better. But i agree it is the best gift from a parent to their children. 🙏 congratulations to your daughter brother
Nothing better than a tough, man’s man like Jocko getting all warm and fuzzy over his baby girl! RESPECT!!👏
Outstanding job blessed are those who set their goals high 👍
Proud dad moment right there. Awesome stuff! ❤️
Love this man. God bless Rana.
what a beautiful moment to share!
