Dark Souls 3 - Offhand Preacher Arm True Combos

This weapon always picked my interest since TRC release date, but I've always been too lazy to actually try out its possible combos after it got patched. After this testing I can say it's surely an interesting duel/1v1 weapon, but sadly can't really work in 3v1 or 4v2 invasions too well because of how unidirectional it is
But the fun potential of this weapon is unbelievably high imo, and at lower levels it can deal serious damage even alone, with a very low FP consumption.
I really suggest to anyone that got bored of common weapons to try it out, it's refreshing as hell.

I made and then remade this video 6 times, no way I'm remaking it a seventh. I hope nobody is dumb enough to think there's a UGS with vertical 1h moveset.

Yeah, I've always been curious about this weapon too!
I heavily recommend scythes, poke halberds, spears and ultraGSs since they synergize especially well range wise

The increase of damage from STR is pretty negligible btw
It's like 50-70 damage between minimum requirements and 40 STR
So you can run this on STR, quality, Dex or INT without big problems since the INT requirement is low, and it doesn't have big scalings

I finished testing the preacher's arm combo with casting, and i can say for sure that i've found some filthy things. My video on it is almost done. Thanks for makng this one, it got me thinking about using it on spells.

I wanted to try a spells combo video but eventually stopped since I still don't have a character with every spell in the game, but I might see if I can give it s try with the most common ones

I wonder if it has the pseudo roll catch combo of the off hand heysel pick, the r1, l1, soul greatsword...

@@thestray9084 the L1 sadly doesn't have enough hitsrun to "kill" poise rolls, but the second L1 sometimes catches the end of the roll stunning, so maybe stuff like R1L1L1L2 might work with light weapon
And R1L1*3L2 on bigger ones that combo with the WA until the second L1

@@thestray9084 I'm done testing, and it didn't do very well with sorcery. Sometimes, L2>soul gs will rollcatch if they roll away from/into you. Same with old moonlight. It true combos into farron flashsword, so i ran that on a low level sorcerer using the L2>flashsword>ss r2 combo. I found that it didn't have much of a difference from a normal SS r1r1r2, but it does look flashy. It was okay. I did find something really OP though, and i've never seen anyone do it before. I'm like 90% done the video on that.
An honourable mention i found is that it has a near guaranteed pseudo rollcatch combo with way of white corona, which is pretty funny finally a use for it. (or at least it would be if sunlight spear didn't have the exact same combo but more consistent). I can't see faith being viable with it though due to the lack of true combos and poise casting
