Sucks to lose your title and undefeated record like this. Tszyu has nothing to be ashamed of, he fought like a warrior and never gave up. He definitely deserves a rematch after that.

Never been more proud of an athlete in my 52 years, what a star. I can’t believe how big the build up was, how big the occasion was, with every big name who attended the fight, and all the media attention, and the way Tim handled all of that, wow, he definitely belongs in big time boxing as Australia knew he did. I respect Tim so much more after his unfortunate loss than when he wins his fights easily. If one person who knows boxing doesn’t think Tim wins that fight without the cut, they are delusional. It’s bad enough sweat getting in your eyes, let alone non stop blood. Take a well earned break Tim and we have all the faith in the world in our superstar Tim Tszyu.

I am super proud of Tim, 1 week notice up against a tough opponent with height and reach advantage, Tim easily winning in the first 2 rounds, fights 10 rounds with vision impairment, Fundora only wins by 1 point...Tim is definitely the better boxer to come through that, many would have given up...cant wait for a rematch...

The lack of the necessary means to staunch the flow of blood correctly was the real tragedy. If Tszyu had been able to see clearly the fight may have ended differently. I'd be looking for a new cut man on my return from Hawaii...

sounds like Tim is shocked how durable fundora is. imo Tim was stunned and hurt early on too I can't remember the round it was on but fundora played it safe and boxed smart. both showed tremendous heart, Tim is a throwback fighter and fundora is just a freak of nature.

Tim Tszyu is one of the scariest boxers ever. Before the cut I have never seen anyone box and make Fundora look so amateur. The way he was landing on Fundora it was flawless. I don't even think fundora even won this fight to be honest.

Tim was using 2 gloves at the same time to clear the blood sometimes.

Fundora would get stop by Tim , he wasn’t able to apply the body attack that his known for.
He would brake Fundora down in the late rounds who is cutting a lot of weight to make 154 while Tim is still solid with decent size on him at the weight.
It was only the cut.. great effort to stick in there and keep fighting champ… you’ll be back 🙌

Why didn’t Tim’s team add a rematch clause in the contract? Why didn’t they stop the match before round 4 (no contest)? Did Tim’s team not know maximum 4 rounds for a no contest? Tim needs better team around him. This is not a Newcastle RSL fight.
Because they prob thought Tszyu was def gonna win. Rematch clauses are usually made for big fights where a loss is more likely

His corner was amateurish last night. They were unprepared. This is America. You gotta have your stuff tight here. AJ gets beat by Ruiz, Fury almost gets kod by Cunningham, sunny edwards gets annihilated, the Maloney brothers get beat up, etc etc. He was beat by the better man last night. Tim needs to move to the US and train with Robert Garcia or someone else who will be prepared and will have the knowledge to stop the fight before the 4th.

Showed great heart, first 2 rounds were clearly Tim at his best, after the cut he was compromised, but hats off to both fighters for putting on a hell of a show.

Spence also rather fight this young kid rather than Tim. It’s a massive gamble Tim’s team took and I strongly believe he needs better pros on his side if he wants to succeed in the US. It’s not just boxing that matters in these. Mayweather Sr. said it best when questioned about this fight.

The cut changed everything , Fundora tried to come out and keep distance and he failed . Tim won every minute and every second of those first 2 rounds and the cut not happened Tim would have stopped Fundora . Hats off to Tim for fighting through such a horrible cut and not being about to see for 10 rounds . Come back at em hard Tim you are deserving of a rematch and even more !

We know Tim is a Champ in his own story like his dad. But this goes to show once again how corrupt boxing is in the states. First two rounds looked great, unlucky with the cut. Plus he fought a complete different fight and did well to keep Tim from fighting his normal fight. But without the cut I think he would of stopped him
Thurman was never going to fight. Sebastian was always in the background waiting and ready. Full credit to you. Maybe you should of waited and prepare properly for a very awkward opponent. Some times you cant leave the decision up to "lets see how it goes", the doctor should of not allowed the fight to continue. That dr should not be allowed to officiate again. Fighter could of been in serious danger with that huge cut and high amount of blood lose. Especially still receiving punches to the wound.

He's still very much, a winner. Fundora obviously learned a lesson with Mendoza. He wasn't about to fight Tszyu, the same way. Using his jab, keeping his distance. That fight would have been MUCH different, had it not been for the elbow & blood, for 10 rounds.
