Yeah, the Ayu combo ban was weird. :(
Yea I don’t even play Order Alice and I thought it was weird
Basically imo it's a pre-season banlist cuz freaking weird? I would've rated this banlist 4 out of 10, except Phantasmal Ascendant and Light CM is a 10/10 to me, blazing thought could go with conclave with freakin rampant early-game damage so I do agree.

Coming from mtg most of the ban announcements I’ve seen for FoW have felt very aggressive. I’m not a FoW player though so that doesn’t mean much lol
Some of those bans were warranted
The combo bans are the ones where the community is a bit confused on
Like two of the Rulers who lost cards weren’t exactly topping charts
Now granted with the new set that just came out they might be cracked
Or FoW is trying to shift its play speed a bit
But yea
At least there aren’t any major tournaments announced
And if I read correctly I believe we might be getting a new ban list alongside the side set that comes out next month
We haven’t had a ban list update from a side set in the past but this one is introducing a lot of legacy support so that might shake things up more yee
Damn this banlist kinda feel awful. It really looks like like a "hit everything thats tier 2 or above" list. There are some decks that received bans that never do anything more than some scattered top 8s. Feels bad men
The justification on Order Alice was that one of the new Rulers that released would just lose to her if she opens Ayu and they don’t play a particular card
Which is dumb given that it wasn’t a problem for other Rulers needing to counterplay certain Rulers early game in the past
It’s like a “hey try the new cards” type of hit in my eyes yee
