I generally do not care for unboxing videos because there isn't much analysis or useful commentary - I can see what's in the box by reading the contents. I like the manner in which you inspect each part and determine what you can do with it. Tossing in little historical bits and floating ideas for how you can build and use them is awesome. Great video!

We talk a lot about ow best to do this kind of video, and determined the waffle IS the content. Tid-bits of history and spending time talking about our views of the contents is what makes it worth watching, rather than looking at a few pictures, or as you say, reading the box.

    Thank you for sharing.
I use 25mm figures and have the old Airfix Africa Korps from when I was a wee lad.
I like to use grenade throwers for squad leaders to make them visually easily identifiable.
    Great review!

Great video. I bought this set dirt cheap a few months ago. Can’t wait to dig into it. Was going to start it in 2022, but the Epic Waterloo is jumping into the queue.

@@mysticmouse7983 I’m super excited for this release. I was hoping warlord would do an epic napoleonic release, just didn’t think it would be so soon after ACW but I’m not complaining! Hopefully in a month the stuff will be shipped out

Nice - I was looking at this a while back, but so many other unstarted / unfinished projects meant I sensibly didn't - but now I've got a bunch of desert scenery for my modern skirmish game, that's one less sensible reason to not buy it ticked off!

I think it's cool that all the loaders on that flak gun are ready to fight Indiana Jones. It doesn't matter which one sees him trying to steal a plane, they're all up to it.

I too wish the big guns were in plastic. I spent the afternoon fiddling with a Pak 40. Between the bent gun barrel, excessive flash, and complete lack of instruction it was a fiddly process....

The machine troops in this box are kind of a pain. I did some conversion work to have one knelling behind a rubble wall and a few carrying guns rather than all prone models.
These models look great painted up, especially if you vary the colors of the uniforms to show new gear, old bleached gear, and even some field grau items. It makes them look much more like desert veterans.

Just got this, and went straight to build the Panzer III… well I fluffed that! The top doesn’t fit on, the tracks are in the way! Also managed to snap a few bits between sessions (MG on the hull…) sad times!!! I found it REALLY fiddly! Lots of small bits. Hoping I have better luck with the 88mm gun!!!

I spent a decade on the western edge of The Sahara. In order to keep out of the sun, I wore a cotton vest, a baggy T-Shirt and a cotton shirt. Turban and light baggy trousers. Without, one dehydrates quickly and sunburn to follow...not a good idea.

I've built that Pz III kit. It's not bad, apart from the Schurzen. I built mine as an N and the turret schurzen was so fiddly, I didn't bother with the hull skirts. I'm hoping to get the Afrika Korps army soon and I'll build it as an L, which didn't have Schurzen in the desert, so that shouldn't be so bad. Might get more to do some earlier versions and have a platoon. I would suggest trying the Rubicon Pz III kit, if you want one with Schurzen, if it's like their Pz IV kit, it'll have a jig for fitting the turret skirts

Depending on how much of it you use, what choices you make and what veterancy you use then anywhere between about 250 and 500 I imagine.
