I’m from NY and I love how ATL came up against the grain but hip hop is hip hop to me, I don’t care where it comes from as long as it’s good and creative, my problem with a lot of newer ATL artists is that they all sound the damn same, rappers, producers it’s the same shit over and over and these new NY artist doing all that drill shit suck too, they gotta start being creative and stop following this generic industry sound.
The south is the south's own problem, don't put that on the east coast lol.... Theirs a saying, if you look for an excuse, you'll always find one.... And Nas is the goat period.... And The south has plenty of goats as well.
The south isn’t running hip hop they are running rap music. Hip Hop and Rap is different
The real hiphop guys know Nas is light years ahead of JAY-Z. Nas family is from the south the Carolinas and Mississippi. So he came with soul and knowledge from the start. We as people is lost if we don't praise the next generation of smart educated black people.

New York run the game, who you think sign the Southern artists? Who you think are the mogals in the game? The biggest thing in the game was Versus, started by Swizz. The main thing now are podcasts, started where? New York...a few years ago it was these street web series started by Who? Money and Violence from Brooklyn! The South has fly by night artists who won't ever be mentioned with the gods of the culture. 50 doing TV, JZ is a billionaire, Nas is a mogal, Swizz, Steve Stoute etc...New York will always be a step ahead of the south. Some people are so far behind they think their ahead!
