Nas has found the perfect collaborator. When a writer does this, it's unstoppable. That, paired with Nas finally being in a space where he has nothing else to prove has been the key. That's apparent in those "Thun" bars. Essentially admitting that Takeover is an amazing record shows how comfy and confident he is. That can be felt in the music. A reinvigorated GOAT.

MC Serch just dropped some gems on Math Hoffa's Podcast about that ownership for "Dead Presidents" everyone should check out. It definitely takes the sting out of that Jay-Z line. As for this album (and the run Nas has been on) I am mostly in agreement with your thoughts. He seems to have found the perfect formula for engaging production, sharp & quick witted lyricism, keeping his message real or uplifting & still having that unique Nas "flavor" to it all, across these four projects. I absolutely went crazy when I heard that sample on Legit lol. Lupe Fiasco has been one of my favorite MCs for a good while now & I can seriously tell why he looks up to an artist like Nas after hearing these albums. Nas has became a diamond sharpening swords as he has gotten older & it's such a great thing for the culture as a whole. Peace Justin & much love to ya.
