Amouage Lyric Man and Lyric Woman Review
This is my Amouage Lyric Man and Lyric Woman Review. This is a combined Amouage Lyric Man Fragrance Review along with Amouage Lyric Woman Fragrance Review. Amouage Lyric Man has been in my collection for almost 5 years as I love the way it smells. The rose is jammy, juicy with ginger and lime and makes for a potent rose freshie for warmer days. It's perfection for me. Amouage Lyric Woman on the other hand was newer to me. It's a darker, drier take on rose. Both of these of course are rose perfumes but both are completely different. I prefer Amouage Lyric Man over Lyric Woman just because I am so used to Lyric Man but I also enjoy Lyric Woman as it's completely different than Lyric Man. It's more dry, more spicy Oriental and perfect for Fall mostly but doable in Spring as well.
Lyric Man:
Top notes: Bergamot, Lime
Heart notes: Rose, Angelica, Orange Blossom, Green Galbanum, Spicy Ginger, Nutmeg, Saffron
Base notes: Pine, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Musk, Frankincense
100ml = $300 EDP 2008
Perfumer: Daniel Visentin
Rose, Lime, Incense, Musk, Bergamot, Anjelica are the major players for Lyric Man.
Lyric Woman:
Top notes: Bergamot, Spicy Cardamom, Cinnamon, Ginger
Heart notes: Rose, Angelica, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Geramnium, Orris
Base notes: Oakmoss, Musk, Wood, Patchouli, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Frankincense
100ml = $320 EDP 2008
Perfumer: Daniel Maurel

In my youhnger days I could not stand the scent of roses. So when I stepped into the fragcom I strayed away from roses. I had the opportunity to smell this and was blown away. I have been missing out all these years.

You definitely seem happier talking about Lyric man. I just received my purchase of Lyric woman and don't like it at all...perhaps I need to give it a few days to settle because it's suffering from "mail shock." With Covid, most of my fragrance buys have been blind and of course, the cost doesn't make it easy to blind buy, dislike it and are unable to return it. Hopefully, in a week, I'll get to try it again and feel differently.

OMG PLEASE GOD LET ME BE THE ONE! I LOVEE AMOUAGE THIS FRAGRANCE IS ON MY TOP WISH LIST BUT UNFORTUNATELY SINCE I HAVE A LOT OF EXPENSE DO TO THE HURRICANES CAN'T PURCHASE FRAGRANCES AT THE MOMENT. JUST LIKE YOU I AM A HUGE LOVER OF ROSES.

SABASTIAN, you blew my mind here!!! I've been thinking about getting Lyric man and was settled on purchasing it soon. I didn't even consider trying lyric woman. ( odd because I wear some feminine fragrances ) I don't know if it was the marketing or myself that didn't have me consider trying both. I'm happy I watched this review. I love Lyric Man, but have never smelled Lyric Woman. I am way past worrying about wearing "men's" vs. "women's" frags. I wear what I like. I think I remember Lanier saying something like that a time or two. lol
Can't stand rose, I hated Cartier Declaration D'un Soir, owned Armani Prive Rouge Malachite, Tom Ford Noir De Noir and Montale Intense Cafe. Frags that I own and love with rose are Dior Ambre Nuit, Guerlain Santal Royal and Chanel Egoiste. I Didn't expect it to be so, but Gosh, I loooved Lyric Man:D Thanks for review Sebastian!
I have not had the pleasure of smelling either fragrance, but after your review, Lyric Man appeals to me as it appears to be more versatile especially in the ever changing Southern California weather. I live in the Los Angeles area.

Sexual confusion is always a point of contention with fragrances i say who cares when the quality and scent are GREAT from Amouage. Whats up is down and down is up. haha. Tried the Man once loved it and living in Florida it worked just fine. GOOD REVIEW

Great review Sebastian. I would have to pick lyric man even though woman might have a masculine vibe to it due to the positive reviews it’s recieved throughout the months and the note composition.

I got a sample of Lyric Man a while back and decided that's the Amouage I want. The price, however, is keeping me from pulling the trigger on it!
Lyric Woman has been on my to-try list for a while now. I own Lyric Man, but find the soapy rose to be a bit overpowering. I'd like the incense to be a little more prominent.
Great review!!! I was really blown away at the potency of the Lyric Man fragrance!!! I thought it was just way too strong for me!!! I do find most of the Amouage fragrances to be very strong, but Lyric Man takes it to another level!!! Definitely needs to be sampled before investing in a bottle!!! ☮️🖖🏽

Thanks for the review! I adore Amouage fragrances and I have the Amouage Lyric Woman but lost my Amouage Lyric Man during transportation to another rented home. I don’t believe in gender-bender based fragrances, I wear what I like/love and that’s why I purchased both.. As mentioned both Lyric fragrances smells different and yes rose is dominant which is one of my favorite note in perfumes. Would love to participate in the draw by letting my relative address in US. If I win my choice is Amouage Lyric Man. My favorite from Amouage is Interlude Man followed by Jubilation Man.
I'll try to test Lyric Woman, but Amouage Lyric Man I just love it, what a great juice this is it was my SOTD. Cheers Sebastian keep up the work!

Not at all. They are different for sure! Both great though! :)
I have tried a number of Amouages and have not found one I really love. I like Lyric Woman but it is not a rose scent to me. I think it's interesting -- strong, sweeter; don't get any rose or spice here, no incense on me; a bit fruity. I like but don't love it. I think I would love to try the Man.

It's always a chore to participate in the Cafleurebon giveaways. When they pick a winner, they don't send you a notification or anything. They just eventually post a tiny message saying who won. You are supposed to find this out?
I don't read that website (it's boring!), and I don't feel like monitoring it every single day to see if I win, so I won't ever enter in those, not worth it. Also considering there are way too many comments on those giveaways the chances of winning are very small anyway.
Real people do win and they announce the winners on a separate page. They also mention when the draw closes. In this case it closes: Draw closes 10/20/ 2017. So the following day they post the winner! :)

I am a women and the notes in Lyric Man seems fresher and lighter I could see myself purchasing Lyric Man for myself!
Love the gender deletion to the releases and how objective the reception of the scents by themselves and not the marketing by the brand transcends as both unisex I am getting LM with a batch of interlude and memoir man so I’m gonna explore the 3 soon

Neither do once they got reformulated. In fact I feel Lyric has a bit more than Interlude but I have been wearing the original Lyric and reformulated Interlude. That's my opinion though please test them out! :)

Your bottles both have TESTER at the back, I alway's search for tester bottles of fragrances as I find them to be considerably cheaper and I'm not that fussed about the packaging as it's the scent that counts in the end. I will be looking for a full bottle of Lyric man for a good price

I don’t think Amouage should even bother classifying the sex of their scents. They are all perfectly unisex. Often they are not related at all. Just two great, long lasting scents
