Bought this machine today to clean car seats which were filthy. The machine is brilliant. Followed the instructions to the letter and the results are terrific. It would have cost me more for a detailer to clean my car than buy the Bissell. Would not hesitate to recommend this cleaner.
Is the water that comes out hot or cold? Does this combine with steam cleaning or is it unrelated?
@@AlejandroTaylorEscribano you put hot water into the tank
It won’t mess up your car? I’m using the formula spot cleaner by bissel permanent spot remover, you think that can damage my car? It’s a 2018 doge charger black interior (the formula says it contains 3% hydrogen peroxide)
@@jr.7185 Try using it first on an area of carpet not normally visible.
@@clonmore819u think I can use it to clean a mattress?
Put your solution into a spray bottle instead with hot water, fill the tank up with water. Spray the area you need to clean, use a Drill brush after the solution has sat for a bit. Suck up the solution and dirt. Spray the hot water on the area from the tank after the first pass. It's wayyy more effective this way
That's a great workaround. I just chatted with Bissell and they don't recommend storing unused solution in Clean tank and the ProHeat does not heat water--it only maintains the temperature of the water/solutuion you add to the Clean tank. So your idea is perfect--use only hot tap water in the Clean tank, lightly mist the area to be cleaned with that heated water, spray the cleaning solution stored in a separate spray bottle, let sit, then scrub/spray with the machine until clean. Repeat as needed.
@@arlenezimmerly718 thanks for repeating what the guy said. Kkr sukkel
@@J.Dean7777 You're welcome. I had to refresh my memory on my own comment. LOL.
@@marcusglover9639 the plastic water containers (either side of the machine - shows the water level & the level to top up the concentrate liquid that comes with the machine !!!!
This is extremely helpful, thank you Bissell!
Why does the hot water spray out cold.
I used this to clean the stairs in my house which are carpeted and commonly covered in pet hair, dirt etc. it worked so well! I added 2 teaspoons of thieves solution to it.
Just water and Theives? I'm all about not using chemicals so i gotta know.
I’m also curious. I’d like to add a few drops of essential oils, but don’t want to destroy my machine
Just brought one today in Australia, looking forward to using on my car. 🇦🇺🇺🇸🥂
How did it do on your car?
Does it stay wet long?
@@jjey6229 I picked a sunny and hot day to clean the car. Started in the AM and left the windows open to allow for air flow. It was dry by evening.
BTW vacuum well the day before to save time because using this thing takes times and patience.
Where did you buy yours from? Im in Australia too and don't know which is the best place to buy it
can you use a carpet fabric shampoo deluded with hot water with this bissell? not in the bissell but just to be sucked up into it ? (example) Using fabric shampoo with water on carpet then scrub and then use the bissell to suck up the rest with just warm water ?
Bissell is by far the best product I have in my home.
The hose seems a bit short to use comfortably when cleaning car seats, is there an option to buy a longer hose for it?
Does anyone know if you can buy and attach a longer tube hose thing whatever it’s called, my only complaint is it’s not long enough it would be helpful if it was just a little bit longer! Other then that works great!
Can I use Bissell Pro Max Clean And Protect with the Bissell Spotclean Proheat unit?
Does anyone find that the the container is very small and the dirty water fills up and had to be changed often in one cleaning ?
Great content
Thank you
I'm so HAPPY that I got one. I'm currently cleaning my couch with it. I hope it looks like new once it's finished and dried.
How did your couch turn out?
@@fromadelaide8713 I know right
Did it work well on your crouch?
How did it turn out???
Works great on couches, guys! 😊 I use mine all the time
what are drying strokes
help… while vacuuming i heard a pop sound and now there is no suctioning at all… the spray still works just fine but not the vacuum part
Can this vacuum regular debris from cars??
Is it suppose to leak water from under the hose?
I wana know how do you clean the part on the brush where it’s sucking in the dirty water??
Take it off and run it through water
Thanks
Can I use this on rugs?
This works on any bissell carpet cleaner?
Can we use any detergent?????
Can I also use this to clean the kitchen, bathroom, windows, floors and couch/carpet etc.? Basically my whole house 😅 and is it also possible to use this without detergent, just with water?
No, only carpet and upholstery. And yes, but it wouldn't remove stains and odours very well?
So I bought a bissel spot clean pro heat pet edition and I was wondering if it can be used for automotive detailing as well? Do you have to use the solution or could I use any carpet solution?
Of course it can be used for automotive use. Use the cleaner solution Bissell provide with your purchase in the box and reordering appears simple with the tel number provided on a label on the machine. It really could not be more simple or easier to use. Just follow the instructions.
Did you buy it ? I want to pull the trigger and just buy it for the same exact reason as you.
Neither the directions the actual Machine or video tell you how to use just the spot cleaner. Do you add it like the formula where you put the same measurement for small cleaning?
Its easy to use
Your video is incomplete. Explain the Float and what to do if the dirty water doesn't go into the dirty tank.
Is it supposed to release hot water?? why is there cold water on the spot that i am cleaning? everything works but seems off it’s called pro heat but i feel no heat at all
Late but you supply it with warm water, the energy from the motor will keep it warm. The machine will not give you hot water.
HELLO BISSEL!! I am so excited because I just received my ProHeat today and I’m about to use it on my couch today.
Question: how hot is the water allowed to be without ruining the ProHeat machine? I’m wanting to use somewhat boiling hot water but I don’t want to break the machine. But the tap water isn’t hot enough and cools after 10mins.
Also want to know how hot the water needs to be.
how do you clean out that clear cover area at the end of the wand?
There is a release button
Have two questions. Do you press the trigger when scrub the carpet? Somehow when i use it, it doesn't suck up much water when i press the trigger to scrub the carpet. Also, how do you use drying strokes?
Same question. In the video, they only use the trigger when pre-treating, but this doesn't seem right.
How many watts?
can I use this on my couch?
Yes!
@bissell I used it on a fabric dark sofa as indicated, but when the liquid moisture dried up, it left white stains all over the fabric. How to prevent this?
Make sure you're using BISSELL formula and using this on upholstery that can be cleaned in this method. Check the manufacturers tag, if it has a W or WS under cleaning instructions, it's safe to use. If it has a X or S, we would not recommend using this machine to clean.
Mine is coded WI. Is it okay?
Some people apply a large amount of the oxy solution and some only apply one oz. What is the correct way? 2- Does this machine heat the water or should we put hot water in it?
Came to the comments with the same question as you. What does the 'heat' part do? What makes this machine any different from the others that are similar- if we just have to use hot water and it doesn't heat the water itself? *not trying to be rude, just an honest question*
Will these remove cats fur from my sofa , couch ?
How do I clean the Bissell though? Ours has gotten kinda gross.
So, what are all the other hose attachments for? Stain trapper is used for what? Chunky bits?

Just bought this today and confused as to which shampoo to use or I use both 'Spot and Stain' and 'Oxygen boost' in the one chamber ?????
Fill the spot stain up to line then oxygen next according to video
hey, is the bissell boost required? im carpet cleaning for a friend whose house im watching and she has the soap but no bissell boost. can i still clean the carpet with just the soap?
The "oxy boost" is almost certainly just hydrogen peroxide. You could add some of that to the clean water tank instead.
Your animation indicates counterclockwise while you're overdubbing clearly states clockwise.
Can it be used as a dry vac?
No
Is there a limitation when it comes to old stains? I've been trying to clean my carpet and it looks no different afterwards.
Might depend on the solution you're using? I just got this machine and am going to try it with oxiclean carpet solution. Also going to sprinkle baking soda on before hand.
@fluffy91 soak the spot with Awesome for about 5 minutes. It should remove it no matter what it is.
Try a Bissell steam cleaner. They are a game changer
Fill up with hot water I filled up with cold , instructions not good enough supplied .
Suction power leaves a lot to be desired I'm looking for industrial strength extraction not shop vac with a scrubbing attachment.
I’ve just bought a pet pro and I can’t seem to pull the trigger on the handle. To realease the water. Has anyone else had this problem
The trigger is to release the solution not the water
I’ve been holding it down and going over and over and it’s not working am I doing something wrong
why doesnt my machine mist?
*Cleans clean carpet*
Your comment is hysterical! You absolutely hit the nail right square on the head with so few words! WELL SAID!
Now how to I fit the waste water container back on without the rubber flange curling up.... just a burning smell and no suction
Sorry to hear you're having some trouble! Contact us direct and we can better assist: support.bissell.com/app/contact
Two things wrong with this video. 1. The plug outlet is a grounded plug, but the cord from the machine isn’t a grounded plug. The machine I own does have a grounded power plug. 2. The video fails to mention how to actually power on the machine, unless it’s assumed.
I cannot find any videos for my machine. You need to update your videos. The new machines aren’t the same.
Finally my office no longer smells like dog piss
My sprayer does not mist
It's ok wend it's small Stein's and doesn't have to much power
Thank you!

It’s annoying that not all the water gets used, so I have to dump out the cold water. I just re use the cold water tho
Button barely presses down and liquid doesn’t come out. So confused.
Just got one, it doesn't suck up the water AT ALL. The reservoir for sucked up water is BONE DRY.
not enough solution
This is exactly my problem! Did you figure it out??
@@sharabutler2026 No. I honestly just stuffed the thing in the closet and haven't looked at it since. Sorry.
Oh goodness. I got it to start sucking up SOME by undoing the dirty tank reservoir/float and putting it back together. For 120$ though it's not working like it should. 😭 it's wetting the couch but def not drying it in the slightest. Think we will return it.
@@sharabutler2026 good choice. I should have but couldn't be bothered.
Is this safe to use on mattresses?
i am guessing yes as long as you dont wait too long for the solution/water to be absorbed deep into the mattress
I’m so dumb I bought this thinking it was a vacuum
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’ll buy it from you 😂
JJD fam can have mine im in southampton
Did anyone else notice that when the plug was undone from the machine it did in fact have a grounding prong on the plug, BUT LOOK !!, when it’s plugged into the wall during the demonstration, IT HAS NO GROUNDING PRONG, what in the smokes is going on???!!!🤔☹️
In regards to the cleaning machine, these little cleaners work great, and I would highly recommend getting one, Wonderful product Bissell🤗
"Plug into a grounded outlet"... While showing them plugging in an ungrounded appliance.
BISSELL I just remembered, how do I use the Hose cleaner with the clear lid with green color attachment? You forgot that in the video.

Bought it today, first reaction ; allot of noise, i'm doing this in my garage and you always spill some so.. but the result is clean as f*ck ! (the tube could be longer, but less suction if you do that?).
Instructions
YOU MADE A MISTAKE AT 1:43, DID NOT TELL THE CUSTOMERS WHICH TRIGGER IF ANY THEY SHOULD PRESS OR NOT PRESS TO LIFT THE DIRT. YOU ONLY "APPLY DOWNWARD PRESSURE", (OBVIOUSLY) BUT SAID NOTHING ABOUT HOW TO ACTIVATE THE VACUUM FUNCTION. I WOULD FIRE THE SCRIPT WRITER.
it is automatic, it has vacum all the time

You don’t show how to clean the dirty tank. I had to fond someone else on youtube that finally demonstrated.
So I bought this because it said "Pro Heat"... thinking it heated the water.... NOPE.... apparently "Pro heat" means that you gotta fill this garbage up with ALREADY hot water.... I just got pro duped....
Sorry for the confusion! You're right, this model does not have a heater, it used our HeatWave Technology to help maintain the temperature of the water in the clean water tank.
Gustavo Velez Same... wish it said that somewhere. there’s my $110
Gustavo Velez me too, came here wondering why it didn’t heat up! Waste of money
@@elemeniah just put hot water in it. Its not that hard.

Not happy at all with ours.
why not?
What happened?
@@tiagofigueiredo2529 I got one as well, makes a lot of noise, A LOT, and the hose is to short i think.
But it does the job great :)
@@jens8942 Well, I just received mine like an hour ago and I've been using it in some chairs I have in the shop, it has done a pretty good job so far. Yeah, the hose is a little bit short. I have it on the ground and when I lift it it makes a lot of noise.
1. Good if you follow your pet around the house.
2. Water gets cold before job is done. False advertising, as it doesn't keep the water hot.
3. After surgery, bled my sheets. Worse, the mattress. Bought this supposed heated product.
Didn't touch it. This after only 3-4 hrs. Had to spray with bleach and Totally Awsome, THEN
suck it up.
4. Nix on cigarette residue on furniture and in vehicle.
5. Nix also on anything ground-in.
6. Won't remove stain from day-old dog pizz.
Summary: Good suction. Bad solution. Formulated for people who have nothing to do but
clean 24/7 ...as it happens
Solution:. Go to Dollar Store, buy LA's Totally Awesome for house and car, bleach on the
whites, then use a spray bottle and scrub brush and go to town on it. THEN, when
the fabric is clean, use the Prospot to suck it up. Wash the machine after.
Small head is terrible to take apart and clean. I wouldn't buy this again. Stay clear.
Thank you
