Thanks for the video, same issues with my 2014 Silverado. I tried to replace the negative battery cable, I just couldn’t figure a way to get a socket on the dang nut where I could ratchet it off. Going to let a pro do it, thought it would be more straightforward.

Same problem here with my 2014 GMC Sierra SLT …saw all the same videos you mentioned did everything they mentioned no results or not the problem. The dealer wanted to make this truck it’s money pit to where I thought I would just trade it in or sell it. They didn’t want to admit it was a problem even though it’s life threatening no recalls just instructions to their mechanics a WTF moment is wrong with you people $$$ is all they want and a big FU to preserving the life of their customers. Thanks to seeing your video you were spot on…with me just replacing the negative battery cable I haven’t had a problem. Thanks again brother…you saved a lot of lives and brain racking.

Having the same issue on my 2014 checvy silverado. Truck has shut off a few times when turning into a parking spot. Just recently I parked and came back to a compltely dead truck, towed it back to my house and was going to tow it to the dealership until i stumbled upon this video. Went out. Popped my hood and wiggled my negative cable line and boom all my electronics came back and and the truck started up. Sounds like i need to replace the negative cable on my truck asap! Now to find a video of how to do that!

Jeffrey Suazo thank you! I have already tried this but maybe didn’t do a good enough job. Also, I put some dielectric grease on it.
Worth noting I did take it to the dealer and they “fixed” the g218. But still randomly getting service stabilitrac, 2 keys programmed, service theft deterrent messages. And different BCM codes when I scan it.
I really hope it’s the ground! 🤞🤞🤞 Thanks again!

My 2007 NBS has had electrical problems for a long time.
Gauges going crazy, truck not starting..
I would wiggle the ground cable and trigger my door locks with my key fob.
That would restore power and the truck would turn on.
So i replaced my negative and positive cables.
Was good for about 6 months.
Now my climate control randomly resets to 74°, and my stereo settings also resets.
Battery is testing at 12.5 off, 14.3 while running..

Im experiencing this exact issue and man, I always knew it had to do something with the negative cables. My truck would die and I would have to go outside pop the hood and wiggle the negative connection just a bit and the truck would start up and I’ve cleaned the grounds ! So this makes me 100% happy i’m not the only one that thinks this, I also cleaned the grounds on the dash and replaced with new battery. Will order one soon! Thanks

Thanks for this video. I am having the same issue with my 2014 Silverado. Twice in the last 7,000 miles it shut off on me while turning into a parking space and drive way. Took it to the dealership and they want to replace all of the battery cables and harness which is ~$1,110. They said it is a loss in amperage within the cables as the battery and electronics are checking out fine. Could you confirm that youv'e had success with this adjustment since the video has been made? thanks for the help.

When you would either brake or engage blinkers would your dash flicker? Mine has and I clean the G2 grounds hoping that would fix the problem but have not had any success. Some people say it could be the ground on the starter solenoid shorting out on its heat shield.

Thank you very much for making a video on this common annoying problem but without good solutions (from dealership).
    Have a few questions:
    1) why would your (and most of ours) battery negative cable fail so soon (within 3-4 years)?
    2) do you recommended installing any other brand battery cable other than GM? (since it appears that the factory installed cables have been failing so soon)
    Thanks

So about a year ago my truck started dying in the middle of the street so I took it to the dealership and told me that the negative cable had to be replaced because it was a manufactures recall so they replaced it for free 😊 but they told me they had to replace a battery because it was not good no more. So I told ok replace the battery then. So it been about 8 months that this happens. Now the problem is that the truck won’t start anymore unless I jump start it. I don’t drive the truck every day. So when I drive the truck about 5 miles it won’t charge. But if I drive the truck over 15 miles it charges about 3 days. I have gone to 3 mechanic and have said I can’t find nothing on the truck. The last mechanic told me just switch the battery. Now that I saw your video I might just do that. But I don’t understand they replaced the battery with the negative cable. Plzzzzz help meeee
