I can just pitcher it: the producer could see there was trouble brewing, but you made the actor unwittingly tap into his imagination. You acted like his bud, and he was none the wiser.

I read about a study where a group of college students were given non-alcoholic beer, and told it was regular beer. When they were alone, it didnt ha e much effect. When they were in a group, they all behaved drunk. I guess people really enjoy the feeling of showing off to others how drunk they are.
I was an alcoholic, correction "A Drunkard", years ago. I quit drinking cold turkey. My boss was a recovered alcoholic and he often frank N/A beer after working in the hot sun all day. He gave me one after a scorching day and I thought I was feeling the effects of alcohol from it. It was the rush of water, sugar, and electrolytes hitting me drained system that fooled me.
So we got two clues: 1) he or she received an Oscar and/or was nominated for it 2) in any production with this actor was beer involved, to the point that the character was supposed to feel tipsy ... this doesn't really narrow it down much

What bugs me is the fake/empty coffee cups. You can tell by the way they handle that the cup is empty and whenever they put down the cup it make a hollow bop sound. Why can't they just put some water in the cups to make it a little less obvious.
True story, chips raffety on the set of wake in fright wanted the same thing and when explained how many takes will be getting done didn’t care and threatened to leave the set. Sure enough, he managed to keep up with all the takes drunk as a skunk and didn’t mess up either. Mind you, it was one of his last acting roles, died of a heart attack not soon after, so….
That's actually a real, documented effect. A research group under the guise of studying drunkeness gave a test group of college kids non-acholic substitutes they presented as real booze and most of them really did get "drunk" from a psychological standpoint of displaying the signs of drunkeness because they thought they were drinking
I was looking at your Bio for possible candidates. Needs to an unknown at the time before becoming famous and getting or nominated for an Oscar. : Timothée Chalamet on 'Trooper' 2013. Haven't watched the film, so not sure if he had a drinking scene. He should be 17 or 18 at the time. Quite young and it's probably the reason the Producer not wanting to give him alcohol. Other possible is Daniel Craig, Viola Davis (in case Scotts hiding her gender), Giancarlo Esposito
Heineken Zero, is pretty good I gave 3 to my Mom who wanted a Heineken, not telling her, and I asked you want another, and she said no, I'm feeling it, feeling real good, feeling what I asked? She has a tiny hick up and says two times My My beer...the alcohol, my mom btw is 76 yo. I took out the Heineken Zero bottle, and showed her and she said well, shoot, I feel something you sure? And it was funny, so there absolutely is a placebo effect that happens on people.

Shoulda given him real beer when he said he was too tipsy.

Your props are so believable, even the actors believe it to be real. That’s the definition of a prop master.

Man, if we were talking about a different kind of beer. I'd be rooting for ya!
If you pour a root beer into a square glass you've made a square root beer
This begs the question, what's the most difficult or annoying thing you've had to do, in order to accommodate a particularly demanding method actor?
Good question! I’d love to know too ;D
I like that you didn't throw the actor under the bus. They're clearly a method actor which already narrows it down some.
@@Padlock_Steve I haven't heard a single story about him using amphetamines on set. I've only heard about him eating the rock candy.

its not fake but its content is just very very low.

Near beer has a small amount of alcohol.

Maybe Mads Mikkelsen? That's the only one I can think of because of the movie Last Round (2020)
Try to match a scene with movies from his imdb credits. And one person in the scene won a Oscar.

I always finish with a pun. Your answer is in the pun.
The actor asked you for a real beer and you were hoppy to oblige.
That either speaks very well for the near-beer or very poorly for Budweiser.
Both. Probably both.
Yeah Scott!!!master of props
You could call it the "placeb-o'doul's" effect

You sure know how to brew up some good ideas.
I'm just remembering when Michael J fox was shooting the scene where Marty and his mum are in the car, and they put real alcohol in his bottle.

It's Oscar Isaac in Won't Back Down

Was it Oscar Isaac since it was a performance worthy of Oscar?
My son (15) sent me a link to this video because he said it had (dad jokes). I subscribed because of the content.

Oscar Isaac?
Hi I have a question, what do actors sniff when they “do” cocaine? Thanks and btw I’m a big fan of your jokes 🤣
there are several different things people use, "vitamin B8" inositol powder and powdered lactose are common
That made me laugh
HOME SLICE PIZZA!! Omg dude that’s the shit in Austin on Congress wtf. Good on ya mate for representing one of the BEST pizza places in the world!!!!
I was rooting for root bear to give to the actor. But that would be an off color joke.
Now I’m very curious who the actor was!

😂 Did I understand the joke correctly that indeed he was the actor in question and he tricked the producer?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Actually it's rather nice of that actor who upon thinking he was getting tipsy to decide to switch to the nonalcoholic beer.
