You don't have to constantly lift the pot and stir, and it's better that the lid is closed that way the heat is preserved and the popcorn arrives faster and most of the kernels also pop
Also i prefer to keep it moving every 3-6 seconds as I find it gets too toasted for my liking sitting on the burner for long. Im constantly shaking mine, produced Better results for me at least
The sorghum popcorn would fit great on your miniature wood stove! Thank you for all these recent videos, I've enjoyed all of them. I watch all your videos, but I like the food-related ones the most. They're fascinating and relaxing and I love your style of commentary. (I've been nervous to comment on your videos after I sadly got rude replies to one I left last year saying your videos help with my depression - I will try to be braver about leaving comments from now on!)
People who have had diverticulitis should not eat popcorn but can switch to sorghum. Popcorn shells can get stuck in the intestines and can risk reoccurrence.
A story that happened to me ten years ago even more... I had a really bad toothache, I went to the dentist, he asked me if I had eaten popcorn recently, I told him yes and I was surprised how he knew! What happened was I got a hard popcorn shell stuck under my tooth 🤦🏼♀️
You should keep the lid on when popping. As long as you take the lid off when it’s done it shouldn’t make the popcorn soggy. Since heat rises, all the heat from the oil is moving up and out. The steam actually increases how much heat the interior can hold, too. So keeping the lid on will allow all the kernels to pop more easily.
Never thought I'd see the day popcorn would be advertised as healthy! Well, not microwave popcorn. And it's not even popcorn, but hey, if going by your description I'd just say it's mini corn
I am glad to see more food videos again. Your outdoors and camping videos are great, but the food videos are my favorites and I think your collection is interesting. I look forward to more.
I’ve had one that was like the Harvest Blend and I really liked it, seemed to me like it had more flavor to it then just the plain gold popcorn. Great video Post…..now I want some popcorn! 😂 I❤Post 10!!!
Whenever I've had popcorn I always just bought it pre popped in a bag, or those microwave bags. I think I am going to get some containers like these and try it, I can eat handfuls of popcorn continuously, I love it so much.
This is amazing . You know the native Americans pop popcorn. That was a treat for them. I love popcorn. Thank you so much for sharing all that knowledge. And then you gotta Indian corn Popcorn. 📣🍿 That is the cutest popcorn I have ever seen LOL
Your house must smell so gooood! I will definitely try the sorghum though I have a feeling I would eat it like a wild animal and go through the whole container in like a week.
I’m so glad you’re doing food again!!
Same!
Me too. My 7yo son loves to watch with me. It’s always good fun.
Yeah because he’s been doing all these videos about animal life…😊
Post, use vegetable oil. Stop taking it from the heat so much...just jigle it a sec. Great video! Leave it on the heat. 😀❤️👍🍿

What a fun video! Cooking variety of popcorn and taste testing can’t get any better than this 👍🏼👍🏼
Totally agree,

All fiber is bad for diverticulitis.
@@cornstar1253 no it isn't

@@pazf4384 i always hate it when each time i eat popcorn, i get a piece of a shell stuck underneath my tooth.
Never seen so many varieties of popping corn. Wish I could try them, and help you eat all of them up. Very interesting video, as always 🙌😁

Good evening! Looking forward to the video. Great stuff man. Take care.

I love that there are so many types of popcorn. And they all look delicious!
Never thought I'd see the day popcorn would be advertised as healthy! Well, not microwave popcorn. And it's not even popcorn, but hey, if going by your description I'd just say it's mini corn
A very interesting piece
Nice! Did you noticed any difference in taste between the fresh pop corn and the pop corn from 1910?
Not really
@@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore Wow! That's THE evidence that indeed some dried foods hold up longer than a century! 🙂
Love the food reviews too!
really cool!
Vegetable oil is better for popcorn, olive oil has a flavor and a low smoke point. Cheers man!
Ghee is even better, it’s the only fat I use for popping now.
@@AnPeSv I hear it makes super fluffy eggs too. Good idea tbh.
Nice! 🤟🏼. Will check out some Wisconsin white
Very cool! Thank you so much. 👍
Great video! I am watching all your past videos and they are so interesting!
Good Idea chat. You all are the best with Ideas.
Wow! Nice popcorn collection 🍿
It was fun watching you make popcorn and seeing all the different varieties before and after popping. Cute video! ❤
Awesome video post thank you!
Olive oil has a low smoke point. Best to use canola or grapeseed oil to avoid chances of burning.
I found ghee to be better than seed oils.
@@AnPeSv I was talking about smoke point. Ghee and olive oil have a lower smoke point.
@@justjamie1715 Really? I never get smoke or burning using ghee.
@@AnPeSv I'm not sure what the smoke point for ghee is. I know that olive oil has a lower smoke point than vegetable oil tho
In the future Post I’d use corn oil or a neutral oil for popping corn or any other popping grains, Just a friendly suggestion.
that's too yummy 🤤
I'm eating popcorn while watching this
"Possum Pearl" was once singing about a sorgem and corn pone cake in an old Popeye cartoon! Haha!

THIS IS FUNNY! It is like a teacher in a elementary school, doing a experiment in class!
I can't explain why, but this channel and canned fish files are right up my alley. I think I'm crazy 🤪😂

Such a cool video! I had to go out and buy popcorn after watching this❤
Very interesting video. It makes me wonder if I still have an unopened bag of popping corn from 2 years ago I never got to use.
Hot air poppers are good for this. No burning. No unpopped kernel's. And I've done sorghum in mine.
This is classic!
