As a literary buff, i adore this kind of stuff. All the lovely illustrations which make you either want to pick it up, or make you surprised when you get something good when juxtaposed to the front.
My favourite covers probably have to bee from Terry Pratchets works, so much of the series is so wonderful, that seeing a snapshot of what the world may look like excites me. Either way keep up the good work and have a nice day.

Don’t mind me dropping in like two years later to join the crowd going “I was immediately and impossibly repelled by the Cinder cover in middle school.”. Like, I REMEMBER that cover. I remember the shelf that series was on in the library. I remember reading the back, giving the cover a hard look, and passing on. But damn those new covers? Nice enough to make me go read them.

I love this video cause quite literally I will not read a book if it has a cheap render of a live action protagonist that will prevent my mind from imagining what the protagonist looks like on my own. it ruins the immersion, with the prime example being the Seraphina redesign. the first covers were BEAUTIFUL with minimal complimentary colors, dragons accurate to the story, and intricate silver details. now the new cover.....its just a silhouette of the protagonist that doesnt even look like how shes depicted in the book, with bland colors that make it look like a modest amatuer romance novel rather than a dragon centered fantasy-political mystery. it bothered me so much that I refused to buy the book new. just show me a pretty illustration and let me imagine the details of how characters look on my own. the only exception is if the illustration is exceptionally nice
also my fav book covers list in no particular order here we go:
old Seraphina (elagant colors and intricate illustrations set the scene and depict a scene that actually happens without spoiling it in the slightest, giving you an aha moment when you read it happening)
how to train your dragon: how to break a dragon's curse (the hardcover 2011 version. the smug green dragon on the cover sells it for me. book 7 2012 paperback and book 6 2011 hardcover are also excellent in their use of color and depiction of scenes)
Silverwing (pretty bat in the moon is pretty I love him)
all the Eragon books (the old dragon illustrations used in the first couple editions of each book were perfect. the attention to detail and the massive size of the book itself indicates how much of a ride youre in for lol)
Eyes Like Stars (this book was like a trippy Shakespeare fanfiction I may never read again, but the protagonist here looks like Aqua from kingdom gearts so thats cool)
also Ill add more pretty books if I think of em. not me realizing that most of these are illustrations of characters LOL

On the topic of game covers, I hate that the cover of Zone of the Enders on PS3 has an advert for a MGR: Revengeance demo. That thing takes up like 15% of the cover. Yeah, I'm more of a purist.
