Of the many synthwave/chillsynth artists out there, I've always found you have perhaps the most unique, identifiable, and well-crafted sonic palette. Your drums, leads, basses, atmospheres... I can hear them and say instantly, "that's a Youth 83 track!" The incorporation of some acoustic elements (piano, strings, etc.) is brilliant and works well. This whole album took me to an emotional plane entirely beyond where I've been taken by other artists' music recently. Seriously good stuff.
I'd just like to say, there are VERY few artists out there like you. I'm somewhat of a musical nomad, I hear a good song, pick a few out that the band made over all its years, add it to my playlists and off I go. But you. You are among the few that really have something special. Somehow you manage to tap into the resonant frequency of my fucking soul man. The way you always keep the backbeat fresh and not just a 4x4 while still maintaining the rhythmic heartbeat of your songs is so amazing. The little quirks and stutters that join the ebbs and flows of the melody do not go unnoticed and create what I can only describe as a sublime texture and depth to your songs that I rarely find elsewhere in the genre. One of these days I'll have the means to support you fully, but for now these words of thanks are all I can offer.
