Notes:
13:06 - He talks about adding the Skyrim Script Extender tool in Vortex.
The new Vortex has this at the BOTTOM of the window now in the Tools panel. There's a plus button there.
For some reason, Skyrim Script Extender 64 was already displaying in Tools.
I had to restart Vortex to allow me to Run. (Was disabled.)
20:09 - The first time I clicked "Launch Nemesis Behavior Engine", it failed. I updated engine again, clicked "Launch Nemesis Behavior Engine" once more and it worked.

All the people saying this no longer works did not properly follow the guide. I just downloaded all this again on a brand new PC and it works perfectly. Follow the directions in the correct order and it WILL work. If it isn't working you are the one that messed up, not the dude running the mod list.

this is way to complicated. i need a half-click script. which do everything automatically with a half click
I used to run around 250 mods... each one installed manually, reading hundreds of installation instructions for hours, carefully balanced load order, resolving conflicts on my own, trial and error tweaking... and after all that I'd still have crashes occasionally but this.... this is amazing. I can't wait to try it.
Tbh the Micro Modlist is perfect for people who still want to add some mods themselves, which is what i do, his modlist is basically the groundwork.

Yes, you need to install every one mod carefully or it will crash the game

Being an old MO2 user & after a couple of horrible attempts at making sense of Vortex, I finally took the plunge after watching this video. First off, KUDOS & more for all the work you did. Mines opposite I used Vortex 1st for 4 times but the storage was too much.
So I switched to MO2 I already like it although the UI feels like an older Windows apps or Java App.

This guide is amazing. Thanks to the thorough step-by-step walkthrough of all the processes, even I was able to get it all done. Even though it took almost 12 hours for all the mods to load and install, even with a Nexus premium membership and a high-speed fiber connection to the interwebs - hokey-smokes is it worth it! It's freaking gorgeous!

What a gift! Thank you all for your hard work. My favourite mods are Inigo & Immersive College of Winterhold. Inigo is a no brainer, he's just the best follower in Skyrim. I love the changes to Winterhold that make it into a place that actually *feels* like a college. Really look forward to seeing and hearing what you are doing as time goes on.
hey, i tried installing inigo after this modlist but he is not showing up in riften. Did you try installing the inigo mod too? did it work?
Update: After 11 hours to download and install this mod pack there were a few little hiccups but I was able to complete the install and it seems to be working ok. There have been a few quirks in the game but I'm not sure if it's just Skyrim or one of the mods. Nothing game-breaking so far. The game looks AMAZING. This has made me want to play Skyrim again and that's really saying something! Great job putting this together. It was a long road but it's nice to have it behind me.

You actually have the cleanest mods pack i struggled sm with others like wabbajack bs or Nlm something god this was refreshing thanks for your video
okay so for those who has crashes upon loading into the game, you have to disable part 1 SSE engine fix. apparently the modlist included dups of mods OP addressed during the fix phases of this video. i went through all the mods that were causing the crashes and apparently this "part 1 SSE engine fix" is the culprit. if you still having crashes. my easiest suggestion is to disable all mods(not uninstall) then filter mods by catergory and enable all in the catergory and so on. and when you find the mod that crashes your game, thats the one that needs to be removed completely, hope this helps and happy modding !

@@tufanhazar i realised that revision one list is correct. Just make sure you have the latest skse installed. The latest game version now works with this list.
this is enough to carry me 30 more years in skyrim, and then ill only have to wait 5 more years for es6!

I had a hankering for Skyrim yet again. I’ve played with a few mods before but have never completely overhauled the game. I followed the directions to a Tee last night and everything works great. All I can say is thank you so much for making this mod list! Can’t wait to get off work today.

I'm so glad I found this, I've played-through Skyrim at least five times now, but I've never ever tried using mods. Although Vortex is easy to use, the dependencies and conflicts just really stumped me. Thanks ESO for making this, as an avid fan of this decade old game, I'm happy to be breathing new life into it because of the amazing modding community.

Followed the instructions and managed to run the game absolutely fine ( yet) .Im really impressed by this collection , everything looks unreal ! Im so glad you guys made something like this .

@@thatblackfish5781 After running 528 mods ( newest collection ) for like 10 hours I can confirm that the game crashes several places so I do not recommend using this mod list .
This mod list has been fully updated to 1.6.4. I have a 1660ti laptop and even though it sputters from time to time trying to load everything, it runs very smooth despite older gpu. 1000% percent recommend this mod list, it honestly gives nolvus a run for its money. Keep in mind, this is only graphics and atmosphere, so using this as a template for modern third person combat is amazing. Absolutely gorgeous.
I greatly appreciate that this exists. I am an experienced modder, I have spent hundreds to thousands of hours tailoring my mod lists. Adding mods, creating bash patches, running loot, figuring out why things are crashing, etc. I have gotten my modlist up to 400-500+ mods multiple times. It feels great to just click download on a pretty good modlist and watch it install on its own.

This is insaneeee. My modlist usually looks exactly like this regarding the graphics and now with a simple one-click install it saves sooo much time. Everyone, make sure to leave a like because it is well deserved!!
NOTE: sadly this collection is no longer working as intended and requires an major overhaul, it's no longer up to date and doesn't work with multiple issues such as loading order conflicts and mod rules containing cycles.

True, I downloaded this three weeks ago and have been fixing it since then. The game does run, but there's tons of problems and glitches.

@@gastonvarela7425 Sorry for the late reply, sometimes the game wouldn't start at all, then the lighting outdoors was really bad, random NPCs have dark faces or bald heads, there's blue "pebbles" all over the countryside (I'm guessing not rendering objects), the grass floats, and Torches create flashing light "boxes" / squares that flash over the screen, same goes for the "flames" spell.
I spent months practicing modding and all its shenanigans to no avail. I know you guys at ESO probably won't see this comment, but truly, thank you so so much!

I'm a minute into the video and teary-eyed with happiness. I haven't played Skyrim since the Anniversary Edition update broke everything, and was trying to talk myself into settling for vanilla again.

Skyrim AE was a big slap in the face. i didnt touch skyrim since then. i had a 2 day session of modding skyrim, i finished everything, started to play 5 hours and then AE came around

that's because you're not downloading it due to most likely not being a premium member. cycling through the mods is a showcase, not downloading the actual mods themselves. you have to either manually download them each at a time or you can get premium and download them all automatically.
For anyone wondering I did this today and it still all worked perfectly. All I'll say is watch the entire video and do every single thing he says. I tried it first time skipping around the video and everything messed up. Followed it all step by step, and it's been working perfectly.

What are the specs on your pc? I have an RTX 3070, ryzen 5 1600, 16GB RAM, and it lags so hard with everything correctly done in the video

The fact this video was uploaded the same day i was considering starting playing Skyrim again and checking through what mods to install, is truly a blessing from the divine. Stendarr had mercy on me this day
for some who say 'too dark' this might help:
checking the normal skyrim graphical settings with SkyrimSELauncher.exe (main skyrim directory) from time to time helped me, cause sometimes it reverts the important graphical settings back to default when intentionally or accidently checking your advanced graphics settings using this.
Make sure the first 3 boxes under advanced are unchecked as described in this vid at 5:30

is called depth of field look for that setting and turn it off

I think Vortex auto installs the latest script extender for you. Great work! Auto downloading mod list now
love it . remember tho if u reach plugins limit just click to the little leaf icon and mark the plugins as light so u can instal even more compatible with this list mods !
All those having trouble. IT WORKS!!
step one:
Roll back Skyrims build to :1.6.353 (instructions on this with 'FrameCounting')
step two:
Roll back SKSE to : 2.01.05 (find in archives of site)
Step three:
follow instructions with ESO.
Unless you wish to go manually through every 478 mods individually with risks on bad orders etc just pay the 7 dollars for the monthly subscription. I couldn't get it to download correctly or really work until i just paid for it and now its working like in vid. just remember to cancel subscription when everything is done and working.
mine is still downloading but will update when finished and let you know if game works when i am finished with ESOs guide.
So far so good though.
Edit:
downloads finished, I searched for all 4k mods in vortex and deleted them so my computer didn't start smoking (running on laptop 3070, i7, 32g ram)
followed rest of instructions and what do you know....
IT WORKED!!! woooh.

mine was a little laggy and was getting about 20fps.. I was going to adjust skyrims start graphical settings to try improve fps and delete some other mods. but haven't found the time to fine tune for my pc..

Hi, is it normal that the game takes a very long time to load even the main menu? I gave it like an hour and got nothing. I use an HDD 7200rpm for the mass drive mods.

Absolutely incredible stuff, easy to follow and works a treat, looks absolutely stunning.
I had one issue I found the fix for I'll put here in case anyone else has the same, when I was looking at certain female NPCs my FPS would just tank down to the single digits, which is not normal because my set up is very high end with a 3090ti, so I knew it was something to do with the mods, after playing around I disabled the AIO KS Hair Physics mod and the problem was solved, the only downside is certain NPCs hair doesn't blow in the wind but it's not noticeable when everything else is perfect.
Thank you. I disabled Bijin AIO - Hair Physics and it now runs smooth. Let me know if you find a alternative mod for the hair physics.
i have this problem but i disabled the aio bijin hair physics mod and it still does it, there is a bijin hair physics fix still installed i wonder if thats causing it, there is no AIO KS Hair Physics mods in my list
It was indeed the Bijin Hair Physics Patch that was still messing with it, disabling both fixed the issue, thank you LordRomppington for this tip

If you currently can't get the script extender to be the primary, try editing it so help it find the application. I had that problem for awhile myself
When it says C-drive is full you'll have to go into appdata and delete all the zips in there

You should try modding believe me you are missing a lot just watch a guide on youtube to learn how to handle stuff It's not much of a hassle as you think

Just came across this now and tried it last night. This is the easiest mod install ever lol, I didn't even get any of the errors in the video probably because of the new version that was updated a few days ago. Great work and back up and playing as I just started this after seeing it mentioned in all the Starfield forums lol. NG+11 so taking a break and wait for update lol. I see why people like this more for the most part but I do miss my fancy spaceships etc hahaa.
the mod collection took about 4 hours to completely download and then added some mods that i really like. looks beautiful. my specs 2080, intel i7 9th gen, 32gb ram

what version of skyrim SE /AE and SKSE you running? im having problems with starting the game from SKSE...
Alright, solved my issue by removing the mods and reinstalling Skyrim but keeping the downloaded mods so they could be installed in right order
Very detailed and informative video! Though the collection did not work for me, kept having crashes indoors. I ended up cherry picking from your collection all the texture and graphics mod and got the list down to 60. It's much more stable, but you gave me a great starting point.

@@dmonzii7543 hey it’s me different account, but no idea. my problem was indoors and I believe had something to do with shadows or lighting but I could never figure it out myself. I can screenshot my mod list and send it to you if that helps. I took out a majority of his mods trying to track it down. My list of 60 was significantly more stable than his 350.

I remember the first time I tried to use your curated mod list. After a few too many mods that were deleted, required conversion from Oldrim, or was updated in a way not covered by the website, I rage quit. Not my proudest moment, but we've all been there. Thankfully the list was updated, and I gave it another shot. Now I've been stuck with my updater turned off so the A.E. update doesn't screw up my mod list. But this? This is a great excuse to finally upgrade.
...and then my computer died. But it was under warranty, so they tried fixing it. Multiple times. They finally just gave me in-store credit. Meaning that I don't have a Tower right now, and even if I did, I would need to redownload everything. 😭
If you have Problems with the plugin dependencies, delete the collection and download it again on the website.
It was fixed at 18th August.
Had the same problem and now it works and looks beautiful.
By the gods, this is great! I have 3k+ h in the game and with mods. I am confident to say I am REALLY good in troubleshooting and fixing but it always takes me up to three days to finally do it. I do touch some grass unfortunately. This guide is perfect and I instantly installed your collection but removed the UNP stuff and changed it to more .... preferred cultured mods. It worked flawlessly while not having to deal with everything else. I applaud you for this effort! That being said, please do a Combat addon list with MCO it literally is the best combat framework. I did it manualy but would love to have it with few clicks instead of whole day of fixing and switching things I get it right. Thank you again for the awesome work!
Question, how do you add additional mods to the collection? I'm new to vortex but I would love to have combat mods on top of this mod list.
@@burnttortilla6938 You'd have to add them as usual and create a new collection. However I was having a lot of issues with this collection and ended up doing my usual setup manually. ENB just likes to break for latest AE version.
@@SpeedeyFreaks I got it all figured out thanks lol, now my new problem is that after installing the enb stuff it locked me at 60 fps compared to when before enb i was at 165
I agree that a 2K version of the full mod pack would be appreciated when you do an update to the newest version of skyrim SE

9/28 high end revision 5 still working. All you have to do is downgrade the game version to "1.6.353.0.8" and use "skse64 2.1.5 rel6". Thank you for this video mate you'r awsome.
