Since Interstellar came out in 2014 only 50 minutes have passed on Millers planet
That is magnificent...
Bro! Stop 😢
That’s not true, if you truly understood that movie they got the calculations wrong.
@@RSPneigh Interstellar was produced with the help of Kip Thorne, professor of relativity at Cal Tech. The calculations were tested and plausible under certain circumstances.
@@RSPneigh it's true. It will be one hour this August
Not a lot of movies that make me tear up but the scene where Cooper has to view the growth of his children behind a screen was definitely one of them
💯💯💯
He never watched Murph grow up. He saw her in the tesseract at the same age as when he left.
That and the scene when he drives away from the farm leaving murph behind - so powerful
@@franzliszt5087 I think OP is talking about the video messages that Murph sends that Cooper cries watching when she says she is the same age as when he left
Johnny Hundreds Ah, my mistake. Thank you for clarifying.
I don't consider Interstellar as a movie. I consider it as a spiritual experience.
same for me, I was sober going into it and came out feeling some kind of high I can't quite explain, even after countless drug experiences in my years after this event. it was truly magical. most nolan films do this for me, sadly interstellar was the only one I saw in a cinema :(
That movie really is too damn good as well as the soundtrack
Hans zimmer did an excellent job with the soundtracks, and it made the movie even better. Intersteller is just a visual treat.
definitely up there with some of the greatest soundtracks, hanz zimmer is the goat
I want to fall asleep to the soundtrack
epic movie with epic soundtrack🙌
I don’t get how grand Budapest won over interstellar. Crazy how Zimmer has only one Oscar, way back for the lion king.
Interstellar is the best movie i've ever watched. Period. The idea behind it, beautiful scenes, amazing score (hans zimmer can't miss), etc. What a masterpiece.
Watch space odyssey 2001....some shots are exactly the same
@@jeffrey7737 maybe but 2001 is boring
@@DrPhil-kx3ci can be yes need to focus on it
@@jeffrey7737 I've watched both films more than 5 times. I've been watching movies for 35 years and I usually lean more towards the older movies. In this case I - by far - prefer Interstellar. Both are great and epic and historic movies, but Interstellar touched me more. It has an emotional impact that 2001 lacks.
I agree with the original poster that Interstellar is probably the best movie I've ever seen.
@@ZyadYousef interstellar is love story with elements of space and time travel.....Space Odyssey is film based on humankind....science fiction....even horror....interstellar is easier film to watch yes Space Odyssey is like art film

Your dad's a liar he came back to see you 50 years later for 30 seconds and then left you again that's a horrible father
Yoooo JJ officially GOATED for asking anything about Interstellar 6 years later.
WE NEED AN IMAX 3-D RE-RELEASE
Nolan doenst like 3D
Apparently every 10 years Nolan releases a movie he made so we might get imax interstellar in 2024
YES IMAX RELEASE
I just wish I could have seen it in theaters the first time around... :*(
It was released in imax in theaters originally, just not in 3d. I took my mom who's a big space nut to see it and it was glorious. I've since bought and watched more times than I can count, and just picked up the 4kuhd..... holy balls you all need to watch this in uhd
Interstellar is a cult classic at this point.
Interstellar was not that good. No way in hell is it a cult classic. 2001 Space Odyssey is a cult classic. Contact is a cult classic, DARK, DEVS, and Annihilation will all be cult classics. Interstellar made a lot of money.

I walked out of interstellar with a huge existential crisis feeling smaller than a grain of sand in the grand scheme of the universe, still loved the film tho😂😅
Nonsense
😂👊👏
@Atharva Kaduskar Me too :( but it comforts me to know that one day humanity will achieve that.
Watch some PBS Spacetime if you enjoy this stuff, maybe you’re already deep into it, but if you’re not check those out! You’ll go from existential crisis to realizing the universe is more interesting and amazing than anything man ever could’ve dreamed up
Same 😂 I was with a girl, and afterwards she was like "cool" and I was having an existential crisis 😂
JJ the variety in guests is insane. This episode was so good, Matthew's passion for the art of acting is insane.
Yeah, JJ’s filling in a perfect gap in podcasting. A good variety of guests, but without giving a platform to the crazies for ratings.
Interstellar is one of my favourite films of all time. I even watched it yesterday. In a way it changed my life triggering a huge interest in astronomy.
Same
same with me
I am so freaking happy that the film is still being talked about. It literally has NO competition in the genre, it easily slays any other space film you try to compare it with (maybe Sunrise would come a close second), but the concept, the story, the detail (even though some things were kinda violated as mentioned in the video) xD, soundtracks, acting, tension, twists...just everything is phenomenal. I have to rewatch it once every year to feel that cinematic experience I had the first time watching it. The only shocker for me is the lack of rewards it received in 2014
2001 A Space Odyssey would be a good companion piece to Interstellar
@@TimmysCreativeCelebrationHub There are obvious similarities to 2001, but unlike 2001 Interstellar resolves it all which I appreciate.

Few movies anymore gave us chills than interstellar. Whew.... man i saw it in covid so i saw it late. Glad i finally did.
Scott See I just saw it tonight one of the best movies
The docking scene had me on the edge of my seat in the theater. One of the greatest moments I’ve ever had watching a movie. Epic movie.
As a father of four kids, the scene where he watched all the old video messages from his kids wrecked me! 😭
Man, I saw that scene before I became a father and it wrecked me then. I don’t actually think I could get through it now that I have a little girl of my own. Would probably have to leave the room.
The music score is an unbelievable match to the movie.
Dr.Brand " Cooper what are you doing"
Cooper "...Docking"
Hanz score intensifies..

I have watched Interstellar for more than 100 times now, wish I was kidding, but I am not. Lost the count now. It came to me during a time when I was lost, I didn't know where I was going or who I was. And in that mindset, life can get real dull real quick. But Interstellar came, and showed me for real that the real, dull, simple, boring, repetitive or whatever lives we lead, aren't so normal if I just change my perspective a tad bit. That made me see the beauty in normal things, made the dull not so dull anymore, the ordinary, extraordinary. This Movie Literally Saved Me as the Score Moved Me back to my one true passion, Music. Can't ever thank Chris and Jonathan Nolan, Matthew McConaughey, Hans Zimmer, Kip Thorne, and all the people involved in it, enough, ever.
I absolutely love this movie and honestly that scene changed my life on how i viewed things. That movie was GREAT.
Mine too one of the best films of all time in space and time .I've watched it at least 8 times and have it in my collection
@@GildedWarrior331 rookie numbers
Went to imax with one of my friend and his girl friend without watching the trailer and without knowing anything about the movie...and when the movie ended, they had to pull me out of my seat to take me out coz I was lost, awestruck and couldn't believe what I just watched. I felt so lost but the music, the entire journey took me deep into the movie. Came back home, read about the physics that was on display in the movie and at about 5.40 am I went " oh my god" . To this day I think about the movie and how nolan pulled it off and also how music played a massive role in the movie.
Best movie I have watched in 28 years of being alive
I can watch this movie 200 times (I’ve probably watched it 100 times) and I’d still cry at the scene with Old Murph. This movie hit me in so many ways it’s just amazing. I will never get sick of this movie... NEVER!! Learned the soundtrack on piano too :)
Interstellar did change my life. It helped me understand that the reality I perceive is a limited version of the truth. In truth all the good things I hope will happen do happen, and all the bad things I fear will happen also happen...but I only perceive one of the many possibilities. Hence, there is no need to spend much time worrying nor celebrating. Instead marvel at the fact you exist, no matter what is happening.
True. You echoed my thoughts.
Interstellar is the most ambitious movie ever attempted... Love hearing McConaughey geek out on it. A story about love & gravity and how they’re the same. Top 3 movie.
*Tenet would like a word*
Its hands down one of the best movies ever made. No movie goes on a farther journey, yet its so personal and emotional and real. It exhilarates me and makes me cry every time i watch it. Its truly a masterpiece

I like how Matt answered the tesseract question without answering it lol, he is just as confused as the rest of us XD
exactly , it was a life sized set is all he can say.
He had absolutely no idea, I was waiting for someone to comment on this. He started giving heights lol.
This movie hit me hard. The whole idea behind the movie. What touches me more is the idea of Cooper giving his life to science and losing his family. That made me think about all the time I dedicated overworking in a university's laboratory while I could be living more experiences. Sometimes we give our life to companies, to science, to whatever.. and lose precious time with our loved ones. After all the technology, all the prizes, we do have only each other, Cooper only wanted his daughter, his love, a simple thing. To save the world is to save your loved ones, it's to save your story, your life, being happy while not harming others. That's what nature programmed us to be.
Sounds like he doesn't get it himself other than on a very human level, which is exactly what you need from an actor.
He has no idea.
Interstellar and passengers are by far the best space - faring films ever created.
Interstellar will never get old.
I have never cried this much watching a movie. It’s a masterpiece, so deep and meaningful. I am so thankful to everyone who created it, and Matthew is an extraordinary actor.
Interstellar, changed my life. The existential journey I take each time I watch it, never gets old.
Interstellar is about “LOVE” As is everything. Even Time...
Exactly, love transcends time.
I love how even though the movie was released in 2014 we’re still talking about it to this day, it just shows how awesome it is. No doubt one of the best movies of all time.
Man when they got held up on that wave planet and everybody aged 20 odd years .was brutal
My favourite movie of all time. There's no other movie with a space setting that conveys such emotion and captures the sheer size of space. The film makes you fascinated about space and you feel mesmerised but terrified and anxious at the same time. You feel like you're going out in space with them. The cinematography is also beautiful and compliments all of that. I truly believe it's pure art
The scene of black hole changed my life. I was amazed with this massive terrifying and beautiful object at the same time
"It changed my life, man."
Yes it did.💖
Matthew is so right, I’m 29, huge movie buff but damn Interstellar is just an unbelievably amazing film and I’m honored to have been alive in this rare time in history to have viewed it!
Fun Fact: before Covid messed up the release of Tenet. Christopher Nolan and 1 other director were the only ones to have EVERY movie be financial successes, and have directed at least 8 theatre-released films. Now only *Tyler Perry* is still perfect in that regard.
whos the other
What does financial success mean? Tenet’s box office surpassed its budget. Is there some other way that it is measured?
You're joking right ? Tyler Perry ?! Lol
@@RohitKumar-jp6wx it’s totally not a joke, you can go through his IMDB movie for movie and it’s an amazing success story. Think of him as Marvel Studios, but distinctly for Women aged 30-55.
For Example: Mr.Perry can make a Madea movie for $2-$5mil of mostly his own money (even minor side character actors get paid mostly in profit points, so are literally investors&invested in the movie being a success from the get go, and that drops up-front costs significantly) and that movie will make anywhere from $20 to $50 million in profits, *Including its advertising budget* , just from the Women 35-55 audience he has a total monopoly over.
Do your own experiment: Show damn near any N.American woman in that age group a random Madea movie, and you will be surprised of the amount of laughter it gets from them. It’s not a movie they have to get emotionally invested in, but can just sit back and enjoy where the movie takes them.
@@MattGarcyaDC I meant to say that only studio-owner/producer/director/actor *Tyler Perry* is that successful now.
