I had a pint with Robin Ince once and he was vehemently explaining why Steve Merchants stand up was one of the best he's ever seen. Very overlooked. Definitely should do more stand up.

He’s not wrong! I’m 6’6” living in Costa Rica. They don’t have any tall stores. Their 3X shirts are super rare and are like XL and if I’m lucky 2X. They have European sizes. I have to buy smaller sandals that have Velcro adjustments and open them all the way. My toes are at the end of the shoes. Other shoes are out. When we go to the US the first thing my wife does is clothes shop
Easy solution: Just come live with us dutchies, 6ft7 isn’t abnormal here.

Even more humiliating if bookstore placed books for 4-6 years cathegory on top shelf. Even if you manage to reach one... you will buy it, cause cannot put it again on that shelf.

Remember everyone, you can’t just go to a tailor if you need to make a pair of pants longer - tailors can really only remove fabric, not add, especially in mens clothing where extra seams or “showing ankle” are not acceptable. So it’s a much worse problem than it is for short people - it might suck that shorter people have to go to the juniors section to find their size… but at least most stores have their size somewhere (just not in a section they want to visit). Almost no store sells pants that are long enough for a 6ft 5 or taller person unless they’re specialty or custom made, and you can’t just buy a pair of pants made for a shorter person, because they’ll look like shorts or capris… which is rarely the look anyone is going for for long pants.
I'm 6'5 and I find trousers fine tbh sizes are abit awkward sometimes like XXL when I'm not fat I'm tall but leg length is never a problem until your like 7 foot lool

Actual facts. I’m 6’8”, but I also don’t buy tux’s. Impossible to find much in a store, has to be online.

Public transport as well. I'm only just at top end of average, but there's never enough leg room on buses. Some local ones have a couple of seats that are ok, but there's usually a short@rse already sitting there. They should have one of those stickers like they have to "give up this seat for someone elderly or disabled".

It's a true problem and I'm only 6 2 I've never had a sleeve reach all the way, and teeshirts are either way too tight or like a tent 😂😂
I am 6'1. I am just in the range where its reasonably easy to find cleathes my size, but we are talking xxl sizes in a lot of cases.
And i grew up in asia as a Dane, i wore grown up sizes for asiasns by the time i was about 10. Now im back in denmark and its easier to find clothes.

I love him but he needs some new jokes. As a fan it's sad to hear the same one over and over again from a genius like Merchant.
I dont want to shop at Big and Tall... I'm just tall, in their clothes I just look like a stretched David Byrne.
Don't get me wrong, he is a kind guy. But his only gimmick is 'I am tall' get some new material mate.
Also - c'mmon, there are easily avaible clothes for big men, just you along skipping leg days shouldn't skip rest of you days on gym.
Meanwhile me - when I was working on a construction site, a labour clothing store suggested that I order clothes for children from the "Bob the Builder" series.
It’s easier to take material off than to put material on. If a pair of pants is too long, you can have them taken in. If a pair of pants is too short, it is impossible to go to a tailor and have them “lengthened”. They’ll laugh you out.
It is harder to find clothes, but when you do, you get more clothing mass for the same price.
