A guy around the block from my house won the lottery and, though he couldn't play an instrument, bought a lot of musical equipment including a killer drum set. Local bangers, including Scott, would jam in the garage. Priest was his favorite band. He moved to LA and played in bands like Racer X. He was invited to audition and got the gig! Apparently his partner wears a hoodie and walks in the front row the the stage with the lyrics to the songs incase he forgets. A lot of songs were made over 50+ years lol

Not only does he have the technical ability, but the compositional and songwriting ability as well. According to the other band members, we have Ritchie to thank for for how well Firepower was put together, the riffs, the melodies, the song structures and most of the solos. And I personally place Firepower at the top 3 of best Priest albums.
