Thank you for the info!
did you know that RM Pocket manual says
_When operating your RadioMaster transmitter, please be sure to maintain a separation distance of at least 20 cm between your body (excluding fingers, hands, wrists, ankles and feet) and the antenna to meet RF exposure safety requirements as determined by FCC regulations._
My daily is the boxer and I prefer full size gimbals but bought a pocket for a backup and a mini kit, and was surprised how good the gimbals feel. Now I need to figure out how to mod my boxer with a folding antenna like the pocket.
Solid video!
Thank you!
TX16S & The Boxer are they only ones you can put bling on
🎉since I started with the game 🎮 type. I really wouldn't mind the tx16s. That is my upgrade go too. Great review
Thanks 👍
I have the boxer , but I've spent 3 years on the dji v1 trans . The gimbals are slightly closer together on that . Is there a measurement between stick ends on the jumper t20s . Cause I'm considering that and moving the boxer
This has completely put my off fpv!!
enlighten me how so
I highly suggest people dont cheap out on controllers. these things will last you the entire time you do FPV flying and you want something reliable and good. but then cheap out on the drones as they will break more often
Thoughts on the Radiomaster pocket?
If budget is not my concern , what is the best controller should i get ? I’m planing to use it on live streaming , which need hdmi clean out on the google, and probably using o3
Would you recommend the Jumper T20 over The Boxer if availability wasnt an issue? My use case is going to be starting with a computer sim and after I feel I have learned enough from that to move on to a 5" Quad to translate from the sim experience. Or if you dont think thats a good idea what would you recommend?
Both are great radios - I have both and really it’s just a matter of preference. If you want to be like everyone else, for the boxer.
I would be great to write text next to each controller shown in image/video.
As a complete beginners, it's hard to pinpoint each controller name for my google research.
Fair point, will take that on board!
Woah! I just watched the upload time click up by 1min as I watched this video. Didn't know thay happened, I thought it refreshed when I reload the page.
Simultaneously I also seen the like button click up by 1, another thing I thought refreshed only upon loading the web page.
Hi Darren! what do you think about to buy a Cinewoop Like GEPRC "Cinebot30 HD O3" for Indoors and cinematic shots and for long range "GEPRC MARK5 DC HD O3 FPV" with a RC Boxer, im new here but I want the best of the best. In the other hand what you prefer Iflight or GepRC? Im filmmaker and i just want the best bro. Thanks for your video, its amazng!
If you want the best, you need to build.
You are just considering what the videographer CZcamsrs are recommending because they got paid for those videos.
For me, the best Bind & Fly’s are Foxeer. Their electronics are used by all the top racers, and underrated.
@@DarrenAllatt thanks legend!! 🙌🏾
what will be the best option for cheap controller for all best simulators out there?
thanks
All Controllers work with all simulators -
Now “best” and “cheap” are mutually exclusive- if you are buying a controller, get something decent, the cheap ones are shit, and you’d just end up buying a decent one down the line and the shit one will be a waste of money.
wich controler fpv and any drone to use tx16 are best . your answer me to use fpv drones controler
sorry, what's your question?
Is the boxer a good radio for rc planes? I'm actually looking into getting a new radio and the new jumper t14 v2 caught my eye I want a radio for both fpv and planes I'm flying with elrs on my quads and spektrum on my planes so I'm either wanting a 4in1 radio with a elrs module is the cheapest route however I don't think that jumper offers a internal 4in1 but rather has the external 4in1 module
They’re all good for planes as well as drones.
@@DarrenAllatt Thanks man👍🏻✌🏼
I have been looking into buying my first rc plane and I think I’ll get the FMS ranger 1220mm. What controller would go with this plane well and also perhaps future proof for future planes if that is something that needs to be done. The controller should be forever right or at least a long time so if extra money needs to be spent that’s ok. I’m also not sure what receiver to get
Also one final thing can I put traxxas battery connectors on the plane? I don’t see y not and the batteries seem to give the same power
Sorry I don’t do RC planes so I have no idea
Planes tend to need more switches for their various functions so a TX16S Mk 2 might be the best choice for you. It'll handle quads well too due to EdgeTX and has enough switches and sliders for all your plane functions (landing gear, flaps, nav lights, flight modes, etc.). The only real downside is it's a little more expensive than the other choices in the video and it's larger and heavier than all of them too. On the other hand, it has a nice big colour LCD which can be useful for telemetry when flying line of sight instead of FPV.
is the beta fpv literadio 3 compatible with the mobula 8 drone?
If you buy the ELRS version of both - yes
I have the jumper T pro Elsr V1 .. I open it up seems to have potentiometers .. I adjusted and greased .. works like silk ,, the perfect tension ,,, are the all metal gimbles that much better ?????????????????????????????????????? should I upgrade ???????? I feel ever little thing with this cheap ass controlller just amazing feel ,, light weight super smooth gimbles are the halls that much better ??
The potentiometer gimbals in the jumper are the same kind as what is in a thousand dollar futaba
Thanks , i will stick with my Jumper V1 must have got a good one ,, see a lot of complaint's I drive mine everyday and starts right up no issues but i do take it apart and service it every so often , check wires and so on ,, gimbals are really smooth and the plastic doesn't bother me i like the lighter feel @@DarrenAllatt
I'm new to fpv and going to buy the nazgul evoque f6 v2.. Would you recommend the boxer or the tx16s?
Boxer as it has higher output power for ELRS…
also if you are new to FPV, why are you buying a 6" Quad, go and get a 5" - you have zero experience on flying so a 6" is going to fly a lot worse than a 5"
@@DarrenAllatt thx for the response, yes I have no experience with real drones. But a lot in the simulator and I didn't knew flying with bigger proppelors was more difficult. So would you recommend the nazgul evoque 5' much more, don't you think that I can fly the 6' with simulator experience. Cause when I buy the 5' and then the 6' I'm spending a lot more money than directly buying the 6'..
It’s not about whether or not, you can fly a 6“ - it’s that they fly very differently to a 5” - think of it like driving, when you’re flying a 5 inch it is more like driving a car while 6 inch is more like a small bus
1 inch may not seem like a lot but it has a very big impact on how it flies. The other element is it’s very hard to get a good flying and locked in 6 inch quad unlike a 5 inch which we have nailed that so much
If you want to go with a Nazgûl fine I think the gap Mark five is a better by than the Nazgul
@@DarrenAllatt But Do I have to build it by myself, isn't that complicated?
If budget is not my concern , what is the best controller should i get ? I’m planing to use it on live streaming , which need hdmi clean out on the google, and probably using o3
Firstly, your Controller and your Goggles are completely seperate and unrelated in any way shape or form.
- If you want a Digital FPV System that has a clean HDMI out for Live-streaming, DJI is not a solution, they dont do that. Walksnail Goggles X will give you the closed DJI experience with HDMI Out
- Controller wise, probably Boxer Max from the FPV ones. But if money is no object, get a Futaba, but they are really useless for FPV as they're designed for RC Planes and Heli's not FPV Quads and out systems like Crossfire and ExpressLRS.
@@DarrenAllatt
So google is video transmission to send image ,
controller is radio transmission, to send command,
These two are completly different , no string attached ?
I can use any video transmission, for any radio transmission system ?
Then
why dji is not solution ? Is it because dji google dont have hdmi out ?
Because i think i love dji o3 image quality, is it possible to use dji o3 and use walksnail google x ?
I have not seen walksnail footage , do you think its better or atleast the same quality and latecy compared to dji o3 ?
@@QulStream DJI has the best video quality currently but Walksnail isn't too far behind and has some advantages like more choices of video transmitters for various sizes of quad. This really makes a difference if you're flying smaller quads. If you plan to fly 3.5" and above it doesn't really matter and DJI will do fine there. Also, it's much easier to find DJI bind and fly (prebuilt) quads for sale if you decide not to build your own or want more BNF choices in the future. If a drone comes in a digital format at all, they're pretty much guaranteed to have a DJI version.
@@Invid72 i still confuse about controller and googles, if i wanna live stream and have hdmi out, what is the best system money can buy today ? What is the most worth setup?
@@QulStream As Darren said, the controller has nothing to do with video. They are two separate systems. If you want HDMI out, Walksnail Goggles are your best bet as they have HDMI out according to the product page. You should watch a review of them and make your decision.
Can we not fly a plane or helicopter with a Radiomaster Boxer? I'm looking for a radio that can do drones, planes, helicopters, or boats?
You certainly can, but I only do drones so can’t give you any guidance on the others
@@DarrenAllatt Thanks for replying!
Tx16s has more switches, which you might need for a plane. Outside of needing more switches, you can fly a plane with the same thing you fly a quad with. Personally I fly my planes using a FrSky x-lite.
*why* do you not recommend the T16S mark 2? Just saying you wouldn't isn't particularly helpful - other than this omission good video :-)
Too many switches and 250mw ELRS.
When the boxer gives you 1W why settle for something less
@@DarrenAllatt Thanks!
You Missed the Zorro in game pad style radio’s silly !!
No, I wouldn’t recommend the Zorro due to the short battery life and limited power output to the T-Pro
@@DarrenAllattYes I think it is overrated.
You need to watch out with your mixing. The visual example that you've put in have audio yet you have not mixed them or muted them, they are sometimes above your voice. The usual goal is voice = -3-6 db (I amplify it then put a limiter), background stuff = -15-30 db depending on your needs.
Thanks for the tip!
OpenTX IS NOT a variation of EdgeTX. EdgeTX is a FORK of the OpenTX project, born in 2021. Just to be precise.
And the typical pilot who watches this video, doesn’t care about the specific details. They just want to know what it is conceptually
@@DarrenAllattI think what he is saying is that edgetx is a variation of opentx. They’re not saying that you should have used the word fork when explaining the operating systems. Btw, this is the most factual and to the point videos I’ve seen on radios! I’ve been watching loads of videos to work out what best for me, the differences between them etc and this one sums up a lot of the information very well so good shit 😃
No argument here. I wouldn't trade my daily driver for another form factor coz it fits my needs. Someone else might think it's trash. But they can buy what they want. Good to see there's real choice.
FYI My T-lite v2 shuts down when the battery hits around 50% while using CRSF module. I wouldn't recommend it. Probably smarter to get a Tango2.
Yes, because it’s a 1S battery that puts out 4.1v at full charge, at 50% it’s putting out 3.7v which is below the min voltage a crossfire module needs to run.
If you had a game pad controller with 2S, like all of the others - you wouldn’t have that issue.
Enjoy listening but disagree 100% on some parts. Much better to get a radio with 4 in 1 internal and ELRS external module. The 4 in 1 protocol hardware is basically static. ELRS is constantly moving and sooner or later, probably sooner, the internal ELRS is just going to be legacy hardware. Much cheaper to then buy the latest and greatest ELRS JR bay module than a whole new radio. BTW: Those "toy" protocols as you call them in the 4 in 1 include frsky, futaba, Spektrum....
So buy a radio with an internal module that FPV pilots will never use, and then have to buy an external module + replace it down the line if the hardware changes.
And no, those are not the toy ones I’m referring to in a 4in1; which has up to 100 protocols.
Elrs can be static too, just dont update the firmware. So much simpler if you put the protocol you actually want to use inside the radio.
Jumper is one of the worst brands in fpv. They put too small cables on gimbal and they break mid air dont trust it.
