I write this as a caution to others so they won’t make the same mistake in taking HMOs as l did.
Firstly, to put you in the picture l suffered years of IBS and treatment tried everything known to man to resolve it. Numerous supplements and countless dietary protocols from raw vegan to carnivore and the raw milk diet like l’m talking about any where from 6 to 8 months!
More than anything the exclusive use of large quantities of raw milk and carnivore helped significantly in some ways but not others.
I have been taking Layer of… HMO’s for around 7 months now. They DEFINITELY made me more regular. But honestly, something is not quite right. I am not feeling good. Something is wrong with my gut. Although l don’t feel bloated, expensive excessive gas or experience IBS anywhere like l did, still food seems to be passing through my gut possibly undigested. It seems l am pooping way too much.
Listened to the above talk again and picked up on something l missed the first time. Brandon says “it’s super important to follow some precautions..” Take the HMOs WITH food instead of “running the risk of this bacteria opening up where it shouldn’t- in the small intestine.” Especially “if you take them for a long time”
I think this is where l’ve been going wrong! 😢. I sometimes take them with yogurt (food) but not always.
I will make some modifications and see what happens and whether or not l choose to proceed :-)

This is the firs time I hear from this chanel and about human milk. I am terrorized just to imaging taking milk from humans… I read , a thought , that this HMO is made it from kind of a bacteria?? Would you explain a little how this happens? And also Who is Brandon? There is not a background , or studies he does? Or how he become a specialist on micro ion’s life?? Thank you!
I am very curious and looking to believe HMO can help!

Does this make lasting results where we don’t reply on supplements, not temporary benefits. Permanent gut change.

Hello, Brandon. I was just wondering, if you happen to see this, what your recommendations were for doing the HMO protocol if you're still suffering from SIBO? I'm recovering from the condition right now, and still have some lingering symptoms that don't seem to want to go away. Is there a protocol that Joel Greene developed to help accelerate SIBO recovery? Or is this only something I can do after I've fully recovered. Also, I sent your team an email and they forwarded it over to you - I hope you see it and I can get a chance to discuss my problems further if you're open to it!

Hi there, great talk so thank you
    two questions.
I get what you are saying but something I’m not quite clear on …
Does bifidobacteria (as in probiotics such as Natren) contain HMO’s and inflammation if so in any appreciable amounts?
And second question what about raw cows or goats milk?
    Thanks

Are you supposed to keep taking HMOs on and off indefinitely or is there a time when you should be able to stop for good?

Hi Jennifer, HMO can be taken daily. You can choose to finish 1-2 bottles of HMO first. 1-2 jars should help increase the foundation species to a good level (depends on the starting number of good bugs in your gut), then you can take HMO off or take a lower dose daily, and maintain those good species using a healthy diet with good amount of soluble fiber. You can do a re-boost every 2-3 months, just to make sure those good bugs are not starving.

@@LayerOriginNutrition thank you! That sounds very doable!

Is the apple peel the soluble fiber? What would you suggest if trying to fight an auto immune disease? Everyday ? Can you do too much and cause more overactive immune system?
