The finest of men. MJ so humble , kind and extremely generous. I had the pleasure of knowing him personally. I have never seen him loose composure , never a mean streak in his soul, he is gentle , strong will and determined , a complete smooth operator. MJ was a positive force in my life , a source of inspiration for a lot of us that has the opportunity of getting acquainted with the gentle giant . Both here in Nigeria and abroad. The world would be a better place with many MJ. This kind of man should be immortalized . I missed him tremendously . Keep on grooving where ever you are RIP

Monday John was one the few finest guitarists of his era. He was to Obey, what Bob Aladeniyi was to KSA in the 70s. He was brought into the then International Brothers Band to give speed to Obey's rich music arrangement and he did so well and later along with Segun Awe in the Inter-Reformers Band. It was sad he died few weeks before Obey's 70th Birthday Celebration in 2012. His American sojourn in the 80s was a mixed success in my opinion. Rest on Monday John (Olola Baba Femi).

Monday Olufemi John, may God Almighty continue to rest his soul.Anybody that knows and likes Ebenezer Obey's music like me will most definitely pick out Monday Johns guitar work when he plays and truth be told he is one of Nigeria's finest guitarist of all times,he is such a talented guitarist.I still don't understand the curse with black race that what we labour for will not be enough to sustain us at the end of the day,if Monday John were to be somebody that is from America, beyond the fact that when he was playing he would have made good money, even after his death his work will still be bringing money for his family as a form of royalty.Looking at him in this interview you can't believe that this is the same fantastic and finest solo guitarist that played with the globally known Ebenezer Obey.May his soul rest in peace.I learnt that he was in America New York for sometime that he had a problem but I am not really sure about it.Monday John Olola Baba Femi.

When he left Obey (inter-reformers band) he relocated to the U.S. and stayed there for more than a decade. He came around briefly in the mid 80 ties to launch another album which was unsuccessful. The rest is stories. May his soul rest in peace.

As a gr8 fan of Sir Monday John, it was exciting to seeing this interview. However, the presenter is extremely annoying and always interrupting his guests. Word of advice, people tune in to hear your guest, not you. Please reserve your comments until your guests have concluded their statements. No disrespect, only constructive criticism.
