    Range Rover has the best car designers in the business, the exteriors are gorgeous and the Interiors are gorgeous as well. Take a look at the exterior door handles... That's the way to do it. Flush with the body is beautiful. Not the ridiculous tacked-on Hoops that almost every other carmaker puts on the exterior of their vehicles like a carbuncle. If only Range Rover was reliable... Then they would have me as a customer for life. They have vehicles that you always want to turn around and take a second look at because they are so beautifully styled. Everybody else sucks in comparison.

    You are the best. I can't wait for you to do the new 2020 Discovery sport which has been upgraded also, but seems to be the next step for those who actually need rear room space. With the upgraded look like Evoque and just a bit larger space, that may be the winner!

    Thanks Thomas for that review. I am not sure if you have noticed, but the car has really low battery - there was even warning in the upper infotainment screen (10:25). That is why heated seats options were not offered to you (lower screen>Climate page) via pressing rotaries, or on the Seats page - the ON/OFF buttons as well as rotaries controls were off.

    Good update to the Evoque and great review but while the interior looks nice the infotainment system doesn’t look as intuitive/easy to use as Audi’s or BMW. Is this the case?

    • @autogefuehl

      not too easy to use indeed as I have shown

    • @Clavinovaman
      @Clavinovaman Před 5 lety +3

      People often forget that infotainment is not just 'info' - what you _see,_ it is also what you _hear._ While the BMW system may be slightly more intuitive, the sound systems on the Rangies are in a different league. As one who drives _both_ Range Rover's and BMWs, I can tell you first hand that Land Rover's sound systems are much better than BMWs, while the intuitivity of basic functions on the info system are easier on BMWs.

      @@Clavinovaman Interesting. I would also apply that to the latest Audi's too. The Bang & Olufsen sound systems are brilliant. Also the interiors in the new Audi's are stunning and are way ahead of what BMW are doing right now. The new Q8 is pretty great.

    Thanks Thomas, great review. Very happy to see high-end fabrics being introduced as luxury options.
    It's a possibility that the infotainment system has a lengthier learning curve since conceptually it's not what we are used to. This is due to our experience with other systems. To be truly analytical, one needs to put aside all the experience with the other ones, not compare them, and be open minded about a form that may work possibly better. It is probable that a long term owner may have a better level of judgement than some us who make short term assertions.
    It would help if we speak to the designers of the system to understand why they have formulated things their way, for the customer.
    Keep up the good work!
