Marta Alberti-Dunn gives the latest update from the Vindolanda excavations on Hadrian's Wall. Find out how the dig is progressing and see what the latest star find is in this video.
Another great update - providing a real sense of this year's progress. I never fail to be impressed by your explanations of the complexity of the site structures Marta - and how they relate (or not) to each other. With so much construction and reconstruction within a defined space, it's a special skill. Looking forward to catching up soon, Joe
Popped down from Magna today to see how far you guys have got and i must say that's an impressive amount you've got done in just 6 weeks. I'm also glad to see the 'plinths' will be visible from the backfilled area, what a lot of discussion and head scratching they caused!
Thank you, Marta, for your latest update. Your voice is clear and your descriptive skills help educate amateur archaelogists such as me, and thereby allowing us to benefit from your immense knowledge. Much appreciated, please keep up the good work.
What a great series. Only recently discovered this and already a fan. With regards to the site how many phases of reconstruction (Roman period) do you think the site went through?
Fantastic stuff
Greetings from Copenhagen, I cannot get enough of theese updates!

Another question: how is the formal publication of the archeological findings proceeding?
