  • Since the passing away of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi in September
    2023, the position of AmaZulu traditional prime minister, which he
    served in for nearly 70 years, became vacant.
    The role includes communicating messages on behalf of the AmaZulu King
    Misuzulu KaZwelithini and decisions of the monarch, as well as the
    royal family.
    The king appointed IFP Zululand district mayor Reverend Thulasizwe
    Buthelezi as the prime minister.
    In a Newzroom Afrika exclusive, politics reporter Ziyanda Ngcobo sits
    down with Buthelezi to discuss various issues.
    Tune into Newzroom Afrika DStv channel 405 for more.

    He spoke well; clearly, calmly and with respect.
    Is he perfect? Probably not.
    But who from the political actors & royal family members is perfect?
    The King & the Prime Minister have my prayers and support

    All d Best Mageba. Apparently prayers are needed Bab' Buthelezi for you to fulfill your Mandate. Please begin by unifying the Divided Zulu Royal family. It's so sad to see King Misuzulu leading in isolation of his Siblings, Uncles n Aunts

    I have lived on Ingonyama Trust land since birth, and we have never paid PTO there is no such thing. The narrative suggesting that women have no power to own land under the Ingonyama Trust is also false. We have single womens who have never married, yet they own homes with their childrens. People should refrain from discussing matters they are not familiar with, especially the media and ANC.

      Your experience is the same as mine mfokaDlamini. The notion of a PTO is falacy in the south coast of KZN we do not know it. I both a piece of land in the Northwest and was given a PTO as a sign that i now have a right over the allocated . Even there the PTO does not mean i must pay rent to the chieftancy of Barolong in North west...

    Well done to Shenge for your appointment. I hope you will work with the king and the royal household to bolster the financial situation of the royal household. It's important to turn the royal household into an active and thriving participant in the SA economy. In agriculture, finance, investment, tourism etc.
    They should not count on the state for their finances. This leads to the squabbling that we saw since the passing of king Zwelithini

    Journalist must do her home work first before asking quetions about zulu kingdom and the ingonyama trust and constitution of south africa. Politics and constitution find kingdom, land and zulu people here, when she talks about zulus and the King she must not recognise the paliament as for the king must report to.

    I thought he said, "the King does not account to consitution or parliament". Now I hear that, the King goes to Minister Didiza for request to remove members in Ingonyama Trust Board.

    • @muziwenhlanhladlamini4990
      @muziwenhlanhladlamini4990 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, the King does not account to parliament. Minister is going to discuss this with the King because the Board accounts to parliament but not the king.

    • @sikhumbuzolukashe4431

      The minute you consult for authoritative decision then, you account. So, this thing that the King doesn't account is fallacy.

    Why do you need to call a person that "communicates messages and makes decision on behalf of a royal family" a Prime Minister? - I think that's called a secretary. At this point everything related to this royal family seems like role play.
    The fact that the role can be left vacant for 70 years means it's probably redundant.

    Amakati azidudla, for us the Ndwandwe people we can not saying much, the Zulu royal have made it clear we r not wanted in our forefathers land in KZN. NoNgoma is about to be renamed, so they have just declared a new war and as the people of Embo we will fight for our land from Jozini to Giyani to KwaBhaca to Swaziland, yizwe lamaMbo not Zulu puppets of queen Elizabeth.

    • @ronaldabuezubane7397
      @ronaldabuezubane7397 Před 4 měsíci

      You are now going to fight for KZN land? Where were the Ndwandwes when the Zulu kings fought with the Boers and the English in the 1800s? King Dingane and King Cetshwayo, to be precise. I am not related to the Zulu clan, but I acknowledge that the Zulu kings played a great role in KZN.
      In fact, the Ndwandwe's are not the only clan that lost out to the Zulu Clan. My clan and many others lost out too, and some people were divided. Mzilikazi's people went to Zimbabwe and found a home there. Some of my people went to the Easten Cape and are now regarded as Xhosas, while I together with others are regarded as Zulus.
      So, you are not making any sense! Everyone was affected by Shaka Zulu's conquests, not just the Ndwandwes. That is why he is still regarded as one of the greatest kings in Africa.

    • @ronaldabuezubane7397
      @ronaldabuezubane7397 Před 4 měsíci

      If we were to take your argument further, the Khoisan people (who are mainly in the Northern Cape), can say to you all of South Africa and Southern Africa belong to them, because all the Bantu tribes found them here. The Bantus, namely Ngunis and Sothos migrated from the Congo! So, the Ndwandwes have no special claim to KZN land or any land in Southern Africa. In fact, the Zulu royal family doesn't own Zulu land, the King is the custodian on behalf of all Zulu people, be they Mthethwas, Dubes, Ndwandes, Mthembus etc. The land belongs to the people of KZN or Zululand from different clans. So, who are you going to fight in your war?

      Witch doctor is a term coined by the invading Europeans to describe traditional healers of the flesh and spirit. Phecelezi udokotela nomfundisi. If you take time to learn about african history you will realise the role of the high priests in traditional herbal healing and healing of the spirit. These are two similar nodes of different societies and cultures. The word Witch doctor is an insult and demeaning of traditional african healers.
