Found a returned 256/8 gig one for $300 on Amazon. Probably the best $300 I've ever spent.
For half that I've got the Tab S4 in practically new condition. Also the best 150 I've spent. Movies, the series and reading is a bliss. Almost spent more on a "budget mediocre tablet" before discovering that old flagships are also an option for basic tasks.

Bought this in 2021 and still using it now! It still works flawlessly. My only regret is that I should have gotten the version with the sim slot.
This tablet is so good even for 2024. I updated mine to Android 14 One UI 6 though in my observation, the battery consumption is now worse. In One UI 5.1, even if I play 15-20mins, it's still 100%. Now feels different.

The S7FE Wifi and S9FE(+) have the exact same CPU scores in Geekbench. S9FE is just a bit ahead in GPU. S7FE will get Android 14 / OneUI 6 as its last major update and then another year of security. If you get a FE today get it either below $300 for the base model or get a higher RAM tier (under $400 for 6GB and under $500 for 8GB new / open box, if used even less)
Are you sure it's getting android 14 and ui 6 cuz samsung's official list doesn't include s7fe

@@the1650guy there is no official list on Samsung website and some of the lists you find on the interent are contradictory (some include the S6 lite 2022 others don't for instance)

Now I consider to trade in my galaxy tab A8 (2021) to S7 FE. Currently Tab A8 is really slow even doing basic internet browsing, normally I just using tablet to watch CZcams, Web browsing, open pdf files and some Microsoft office stuff, I don't play games on my tablet, I do consider iPad 9th generation but currently using S23 I feel more convenient for Samsung ecosystem now 😅so I still prefer having a Samsung tablet for myself, I think Tab S7 FE might be a good choice...
The a8 I had the same problem just got an open box 64 gb s7fe for 180 at best buy and it was definitely worth it over the A8
I bought it right today and its really worth for me as a student to make notes with split screen.. Watching lectures and writing notes at the same time drging PIC from google and alll.. Just a problem is that the price is bit hight..

@@fyitbs123 ok alright.. I have both samsung galaxy s7fe and ipad 10 th gen. My personal suggestion is if you wanted only onetab then dont go for ipad go for s7 fe.. I recently purchased ipad 10 gen and its horrible. I paid 1000 rupees for oneyear note making at good notes meanwhile samsung s7 fe have their own samsung notes which is absolutely free.. Samsung have large display and ipad with small. Writing experience on Samsung is way better than ipad. So go for samsung s7 fe because both same at a similar price range..

My S7 celebrated its 4th birthday last week. Im gonna try to conserve it and keep it working for as long as possible! Who knows, it may even last 10 years!
Samsung nerfed it nicely with a pathetic 4GB RAM on the WiFi model with the better Snapdragon 778G SoC. If the Tab S7 FE WiFi featured even at least the 6GB RAM, the Tab S9 FE would've been complete DOA.
Tab S7 FE has a larger screen, a much more versatile 778G SoC and most importantly features external monitors via display out over Type-C - enabling External Dex all of which are missing from the Tab S9 FE/FE+. Would still recommend the Tab S7 FE 750G 6GB RAM model over the Exynos 1380 Tab S9 FE.
If you don't care about updates(I don't) the Super AMOLED TAB S7+ still remains the GOAT.
I agree, I have the 8GB RAM version with the 778G and it's a very decent device with great battery life. Bought open-box in Spring 2022 for $550. I sold my S7+ 8GB with keyboard 2 years ago for $890 to buy the S8 ultra

Found this new in box @$250 with pen & keyboard case. Still on the fence though. Only 4gb ram has to be an issue.
If you find this tablet with at least 6GB of ram for a good price (wifi model), go for it. Avoid the 4GB of ram at all cost.

@@sainithinyadav3465 Long term, Xiaomi is the choice. But I read Samsung is giving a nice discount for returning used devices so you could buy the tablet then try to get a better model discounted.

Yeah 300 dollars for a 4GB RAM refurbished S7 FE (meaning knock off s-pen and charger) and still costs like 30% more than a brand new S6 Lite 2022.
UNLESS video output is a must and because the knock off s-pen is atrocious, out of frustration for having to deal with only 4 GB of RAM causing stutter and for the added cost of a new pen which actually functions, you might as well get a brand new S9 FE. And if you don't care about the pen because you aren't taking notes, then theres not much of a point of picking it over a Mi Pad 6 which has actually capable hardware.

You can't project your seminar or powerpoint presentation to the projector(wired) on Tab s9fe because of greedy sammy but you can that in older Tab s7fe because of usb 3.0 port in s7fe compared to USB 2.0 in Tab s9fe,Greedy Sammy tabs useless for students

It is good for note-taking, and it doesn't lag either...
I’d say if your happy with 1 more year of software support go for it. It will still be usable in android 14. The main draw over the s9fe is probably cause its cheaper while still getting all the modern features and being able to use it for presentations is also useful compared to the s9fe however your missing out with a fingerprint reader but I find a pin combo is good enough. As for notetaking either use flexil or samsung notes but honestly you will get more mileage on using samsung notes over third party note taking apps. Just fyi I have been using this tablet for over a year now (bought in my freshman year of uni). You don’t really notice the spec difference aside from the camera especially when taking photos of slides from a fair distance.
