- September 2019. This is a two night backpacking trip at Sonora Pass, Northern California, in the Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest, and Hoover Wilderness. I saw four waterfalls on this trip along the West Walker River. All flowing well and all beautiful! It was fabulous. Come along for the journey.

Big pack but for two nights I guess you needed it all and good to hear you had zero bugs! Good idea on the small backpack for the mornings hike and great waterfall. Good that you kept those boots dry crossing, nothing worse than trying to hike in wet boots. I guess that wind kept the bugs away on your second camp as well and good to see those horses out on the trail at the end, cheers Alan
