Some people like it. Some people dont. I would rather hear something different than the same thing repeated over and over again. This band in my opinion is a lot more interesting than the majority of bands out there. If you dont like it move on to something else.
Ni Ro I agree that it’s good that they don’t stay the exact same. Last album was great but another concept album in a row is a bit much... especially when it’s a terrible idea. King this. King that. It’s stupid. Every single song in the album has something that ruins it
I thought the whole king thing was a pretty cool idea but they just did a really bad job executing it. Each individual song on it's own was great but it but I think Avatar Country would have functioned a bit better if it was more like Feathers and Flesh, where each individual son contributed a piece to an overall story rather than just being a piece of a single theme.
Kevin Sliczniak ehh I don’t know about every song. Only one I can listen to without a problem is Statue. The whole concept of feathers and flesh was amazing! They put in so much effort clearly. This album they just took Kungen’s nickname and half assed an album. Saw them live a few days ago and some of the songs were ok live. Welcome to Avatar country was a cool one to see but still there’s something with every Avatar Country song that ruins it for me. ESPECIALLY all the filler material for an already very short album. Discovered the band in 2013 and loved them and still do. I hope they can redeem themselves
problica. I liked it and so did the majority of the audience at the show I went to. Avatar likes to experiment and probably are not going to repeat what they did on their previous albums. If you like generic repetitive metal music there is plenty out there to choose from. This band in my opinion is still the most unique band out there and I have yet to hear a song from them that I didn't like. They are most likely going to remain an underground band and that's fine. If they keep coming back so will I.
