Half the trick here is being able to bail like that. The fact he's not eating shit each time speaks to just how much insane control he has
For sure bro def a good skill to have when I first started skating one of the older homies told me learning how to fall is as important as learning the trick..✌🏽
Falling leaf 🍂
@@vermontnorthern9717 💯💯💯hell yea! when i dreaming at night its totally like that, if im not already levitating outright, always slow motion like a falling leaf though, nice description!
I reckon that’s 90% of it.
Thats a big part of it but you have to be able to get into the trick everytime to even bail like that its insane how consistent he is
Don't think non-skaters will ever comprehend the balls it takes to even attempt this. Crazy skill just to bail the way he does.
This.
sometimes its hard to comprehend what it might feel like to do the tricks that this dude does, that nollie lip really put it into perspective. Then that first attempt at the actual trick gave me chills
This level of skating is barely comprehensible by good skaters.. and fully incomprehensible to people that don't skate.. video absolutely never does top tier skating justice compared to irl..
@@MH-nc5jd probably looks easier to people that don’t skate then it does for people who do
Or how he just 50s the back stair rail first try like it’s nothing.
Shut up
I was thinking the same thing on that nollie lip 💯
He makes the warm-up session of 50-50's and lipslides look so casual like it's something he could do in his sleep
I think he probably can
My Annoyance
Pretty sire he was asleep
Exactly, was sleeping until after last trick
Waking up at 7 to go skate is so refreshing. I just cannot believe how refreshing Yuto's skating is all together. Total passion and dedication.
Yuto's so good his enders don't have enough tries to make up a My War segment 💀💀
I spit out my iced tea. Thanks.
🤭
Facts
Jamie Foy did a my war with fs crook down el toro which was first T though
@@MyGloubiboulga just about to say that
In 26 years I have never skated before 9am.
Same here, I only skate the afternoon or at night, I don't understand how this guys do (they have too obviously for some spot)...
Hahaha bro so true
try hitting up your favorite park in the morning. every time I do there is almost nobody there. you get the whole park to yourself sometimes
I hit the skatepark once at 6 am, on hangover, and I landed smith on rail. never land it ever since
🤣🤣🤣
I can somewhat relate to this. I skated the 12 and 16 sets back in 2005. I board slid the 12 a few times. That was relatively easy. I was too scared to ollie the stairs though haha. I was really scared to board slide the 16. 4 extra stairs makes a huge difference. The 16 rail is actually shorter in height than the 12 which helps. Half of me didn't want to board slide the 16 because it's legit dangerous. But on the flip side, I knew I would regret it in the future if I didn't get the trick. After a few roll ups, I finally board slid the rail and jumped off at the end. After that, about 90% of the fear went away. I slid it a few more times then finally landed one and rolled away. It was an amazing feeling that I'll never forget.
We need to see the video of it!
@@DU0ZA Here's the raw footage. czcams.com/video/Mjne5KigJro/video.html
Yeah i remember when i first skated the hollywood 16. I tried a 3 flip a few times and then went for it, a kickflip front disaster on the 16 rail and boom landed on my board and rolled backwards up the stairs somehow but still landed steez
@@axis2010 Damn that boardslide is smooth af!!
Few humans will ever experience that kind of adrenaline/fear/accomplishment. No where as good as I used to be, but there are some specific moments that I can literally transport myself to mentally and relive. Those moments stay with you forever. Thanks for sharing.
Such a scary trick, it’s really hard to convince your body to fully commit to blindly catching that rail and riding it down, very counterintuitive but he nailed it!
The way the sun is hitting the spot seems like DLC pack for the set
With all these insane sends, I'm going to take just a second to recognize the simple Ollie at 0:57. That alone is massive 🤘
Holy shit that's so insanely scary to do. Locking on like that blind not being able to see your landing is gnarly. I mean this is already a crazy trick to do on basically anything but yuto does it on the Hollywood 16 in a handful of tries... Bruh. Crazy how he makes everything look so effortless too. Amazing to see skateboarding being pushed this far and yuto is one of the guys to thank for that. One of the guys I'll never get tired of watching.
OMG! Thank you Kevin! You are one of the best filmers out there and i appreciate the rough cuts you give us! YUTO is unbelievable and the tricks he does are one of a kind!
“One of a kind” it’s not like most contest skaters can drop the same shit
Thank you!
@@benbodensteiner1844 most contest skaters could not nollie 270 lip this.
Ex pro here who FS smithed this rail two decades ago, and I cannot even comprehend or feel that trick. Can't imagine it. Damn.
@Random offensive guy William Bennington, maybe? He's got vids on his channel...
@@DBrown_XD mans could even take the time to click his channel I’m weak😂😂😂
This is a trick you try on a flatbar not Hollywood 16. Yuto got things all mixed up. 😂 I can't even wrap my head around trying this trick and not dying lol
Its crazy to see him in interviews on national japan tv, they show only his contest footage and try to make look skating like a "contest" sport. Same week he did the interviews, there was a segment bashing skaters for skating in the shotengai (shopping street) and leaving some marks on the walls and structures. Really hoping to see a real change there, they are taking all the medals while their skaters live in the US because they cant skate japan streets.
Lol the govt probably wants it that way. Very insulated and traditional culture. And they still get the credit at the end for their amazing japanese skaters.
lmao, skateboarding street spots in america is technically not legal either.... lmao. skaters in america just cuss people out and tell them to fuck off, and police are dealing with actual crime. Japan doesn't have crime like america does and they have a culture of respecting public spaces.
Good skating actually does ruin nice architecture
@@SKRATCH1988 You have no idea how bad it is in japan, you cant even skate in the street, flat simple just cruising around, NOT ALLOWED. Skate some handrail, make a scratch be in the news next day. Think about japan as the north korea of street skating lol. Parks situation is not that bad, but i think it was sakura yozosumi who said her mom had to drive her 2 hours away from her hometown to get her to the skatepark. Even mexico had a huge croncrete skateparks boom, 20 years ago there were maybe 10, now there are hundreds! Japan doesnt invest anything into skateboarding, its a shame.
@@leredditcommander8208 yeah... Like I said... They respect communal spaces.
Makes sense why this kid won the street gold at the Olympics. Yuto is insane with those 360 rail tricks.
Man I genuinely gotta say, that looks fucking insane!! Prior to this I haven’t seen any of his footage, just kinda knew him as a contest skater but WOW!! This is just simply insane!
Imagine being backwards at the top of that rail and falling. That’s really life and death type of stuff.
Bounce off back of skull and turn religous .... dan p.
Yep thats exactly what happened to Nyjah when he was trying switch front feeble. Went backwards and cracked head open. Lucky it wasn't more serious than it was
Look up the switch front board slam on el toro. He was on shrooms.
Yh that Switch feeble blew my mind imo the sickest shit done there and the switch bigspin heelflip down the stairs. But yuto is a monster too, that 50/50 was like nothing for him 🤯
Holy shit that hard way 270 on is mental that’s a snowboard trick…
Lol
he's going to do it backside soon i bet
Seeing this gives me another level of appreciation for this trick. Definitely one of the best tricks of last year. Insanely difficult and sketchy
Amazing. Love the "behind the scenes" vids. Keep them coming.
I went to the Hollywood 16 just to look at it on vacation a couple weeks ago. I don’t think people realize how big this spot really is. It’s like a story and a half of stairs.
I love this video! Thanks for posting it.
Insanely gifted God of Skaters
The breathtaking video!
Sport impacts us at every level of our being: body, mind, soul and spirit.
Imagine casually walking down the street one morning and passing by a gold medal olympic athlete shredding the gnar. Rad!
The patterns from the lighting coming through the fence at that time of day looks really cool
So dope! Congrats to Yuto. Also, this was beautifully shot!
Thank you!
One of the most beautiful tricks I've ever seen. And I've watched skate videos for 20 years...
You can tell that Yuto is one of those people that even if you tried to find something to dislike him for, you just wouldn't find anything. Seems like a top kid. Big up Japan!
Damn YUTO! You’re Da Man!
Seeing people skate this in person for the first time was awesome as fuck def one of my fav fond memories people working hard for a clip they hungry
That ground angle is the best view of the set
crazy skill and sick style
Amazing! Mindblowing!!!
Hands down the absolute most amazing thing to have gone down here!!
Amazing to see the process of this
Love the hype you guys were giving yuto 🔥🔥
Dude rolls away clean as fuck too shit looks like a video game
How do you even just wake up that morning and go there and skate the 16 like a park rail and bust that out?! Just in a league of his own 🤯
He just did a Yuto special, much respect 👊🏾
amazing control and confidence........... 7AM?? how can he even warm up for this?!
I remember changing my sleep patterns to skate the Nashville Federal Building rail at 3am. It's worth it.
Well I do nollie fs lipslide always as a warm up trick! 👍 Ok, on a flatbar...
it’s quite normal to film at certain locations early as fuck in the morning.
7 am … so the shits not so blown out .. Hollywood high gets crazy busy .. between the skaters and the bystanders .. I’m sure the time was set so he could actually focus .
hes from japan so 7am would be like noon for him
this trick is so intensely stylish.
It’s so cool seeing these guys one up each other every year at this spot.
That was amazing!
He will go down as one of the gnarliest ever.
You can tell by the way he jumps on that board, he's going for it 100%. Ain't no foot down chicken out shit at the top of the stairs. He looks extremely comfortable bailing of a rail blind side like that. I think this is what separates him from most.
incredible video
SICK!!
that was sucha nice landing
Dang that 50/50 was insane! I didn't know it was first try🤯
This spot is still a legend classic
For a second I thought I was playing skat 3 watching a replay. He killed it 💯
3 mins in including warm up and ending clip and it's already done. Yuto.
Is it me, or does Yuto have like insane control. I mean it was smooth and fluid like something out of a game!!! Unreal!!!
This guy, I love you all❤️🙏 you rock!!
Definitely in the top 10 scariest looking pro tricks , absolutely shredding
Damnnnn!! 😮 🤩
His style, even on the bails, is so silky smooth. Very nice Yuto.
That’s a good way to start the day
Incredible
Super dope
Too smooth.
Smooth!!
Watching this after seeing a bunch of videos of people doing grinds at the same spot, I thought he's a bit overrated but no, he does grinds so well that he just makes it look easy to do. On this spot it's hard to not smash your head and die like most do, and yet he does it buttery smooth with 100% certainty and isn't ever close to injuring himself.
The signature move 🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥down the 16
😳 The level in skateboarding is getting unreal .
Pure insane
Yuto pre trick and post landing of a trick is such a vibe
Now _that's_ a trick worth watching every bail or fail on. Smooth like a Samurai.
Watching from Dubai Yuto!!!🔥🔥🔥
Early morning skating hits different
That satisfying stomp. Nothing quite like clean skating.
Yuto is sooooooo fucking sick! Fuck yeah, man!
That's insane !!!fair play !😎😎
That was sick
He has such control !!💯💯
God damn he is insane
Damn yuto.. You killed it brother.
Goddamn that was gnarly. The chances of your tail clipping the rail from that nollie are just fuct. I mean, i might try that on a double sided curb, bit probably not. Cheers Yuto and thanks for the rough clips filmer
That was cool man
one of my favorite parts of living in hollywood is watching skateboarders attempt this rail...kudos for landing that shit yo!!! not many do...
So good
Channeling that DJ Stingray energy
BIG one
aye yo stoked to see the homie shay sandiford being there for this moment, van isle reppin
Monster 🔥🔥
sick.
Now that’s just nuts.. he even stops rotating to hold he boardslide! Insane. I stalefished the 12 but that 16 is hugeeee. Video never does it justice. Once you go there you realize the insanity of this spot.
LETTTTSSSS goooo Yuto
Gold
kids a legend already
The classic ride away from HW 16 with finger out hahahaha BANGER
YU SHIESTY IN THA FLESH
Wow getting up so early is gnarly. I would never be able to skate at 7am
literally this is the trick i like doing down stairs in Skater XL. Nollie 270 lipslide. This is insane
Yuto will be a legend in the future for sure
okay kev i see you
That's a smooth trick to do then you throw it down 16 stairs swag af.
Dude is a beast
