good stuff Zen.... really informative.... ur the best EUC reviewer out der... keep em commin ...
Awesome 😎 thanks Zen Lee!!🙏master for me I think. Gonna wait it out. I’m satisfied with my Sherman max right now!❤
So from a trails only pov... master or t4? In your opinion of course...🙏🏻✌️
I have an RS HT P42A and Master 50e coming. I figure that covers my bases. I wanted the S22 for jumping but I lack the skill to prevent it from smashing into the ground and I worry about durability. So Im hoping I can hone my skills jumping on the HT P42A and use the master for trails and street riding. I had a hard time picking batteries on the master but I think the range more what I want. and I have the RS HT for extreme riding without breaking the bank if(when) I break the wheel....
sounds like you got some nice wheels on the way
Great comparison info. Had a cutout on the Eagle so I replaced it with the T4 and hear it has good suspension and torque enough for trails so pretty stoked. Have you rode the T4 yet I’d love to hear your opinion compared to the master beast of all beasts
I haven't. But if you offered me a T4 or S22, I'd take the T4.
T4 vs Master.
Master is much faster and torquier but also 15lbs heavier. I rarely hit more than 38mph off roading.
Also Master about $1k more. So T4 is huge value imo.
I can tell you with my Molicel RST I can ride down to about 20% of battery without noticing a power or speed drop vs 50Es around 50%. I never overpower it but I don’t get appreciably more speed. My 1480wh gets about 35-40 miles of hard ridding depending on how hilly my rides are. The 40Ts should be about the same as Molicel packs.
I'm moving to death valley nv side to go riding full time year round. Near lake mead. What's the best current wheel for this type of terrain??
probably the Master, but new wheels coming out so often could be another by the time you get here
Can't wait to see the Sherman S. That looks like a fabulous wheel. Curious how it would compare to the 134v Master.
Sherman S more expensive, more range and 17lbs heavier. Less top speed, less torque, less voltage. Maybe more durable.
I'd take the new Begode EX30 or V13 over the Sherman S if I wanted long range cruiser.
@@ZenLee but the suspension and balance looks better on the sherman s so far. I guess testing it will tell.
the suspension and balance looks better on the sherman s so far. I guess testing it will tell.
Have an S18. Was looking to move up to the S22, but have decided to add the Master to my collection. S18 is a fun wheel and the Master will be my cruiser/road wheel. All these new wheels look too heavy for me, the Master has the range and speed I need.
What about the T4, its a big upgrade from S18 but not as heavy as S22 and Master. tinyurl.com/2n9uy33j
Hi Zen, I noticed that Alien now has a version of the Master with a suspension delete. I don't understand why someone would want that unless they were a big jumper.
suspension delete?
@@ZenLee check out the site I think they're selling the master without suspension they say they include the shock in the Box
The has just ticked all my boxes, easy to work on, great ride. I have linkage from kuba installed with a rockshox and this thing just eats trail like none other
S22?
Where did you get your linkage from? Having a hard time finding them online.
@@ZenLee Hi, Lee, nope the Master all the way ;-)
Anyone know the chest armor he’s wearing?
Well I have ridden neither, but I have ordered the Master. Waiting impatiently for it to arrive :-) The stator problems the S22 was having was the last straw for the S22 in my mind, though I do not like the way they have done the suspension on those plastic slides in the aluminium extrusion either.
looks like your riding in some beautiful areas. The Master is going to be really heavy. Took me about 100 miles on it to get the right stabilization muscles. Looking at your footage, I think the T4 maybe a better EUC for you.
@@ZenLee Your probably right, but the heart rules the head :-) I do still have the S18 and the 16X, and I'm hungry to improve my skills, I want more range and that wheel will be a blast :-)
Thanks BaoSprite on IG and Tik Tok for letting me use S22! instagram.com/baosprite_euc/
🔥🔥🤜🤛
The Ewheels 40T S22 might shorten that performance gap a little between the Master. Perhaps the S22 torque complaints are a non-issue now? Most people aren’t interested in going 55 MPH in my opinion, but to each his own. Would really love to see someone compare both S22 battery versions against each other. I’ve got the 40T personally. Torque and hill climbing ability are what’s most important to me.
Big negative on that, Wrong Way did a review of the 40t and it was pretty lackluster as well(for torque). Don't need to go 55mph on the Master, but nice to have all that torque for offroading.

Thank you.
your welcome
personally those new wheels like the eX30 looks great specs and visually but I'm not into heavy wheels as the manueverability and portability on those takes a heavy hit.. we just had the master pro drop here yesterday and its a great powerful wheel but definitely not nimble or easy to lug into the boot of one's car without some assist
have you seen the T4, that might be a fun option for you.
@@ZenLee yea we have many riders here with it..it's fun but the suspension can't handle big drops, average trail riding with not alot of elevation changes its fine and range wise it also comes short..the weight and form factor of the s22 hits the sweet spot for me personally ...if it had the power and range of the master pro in that form factor and weight and suspension (not the sliders 😂) that would be a dream wheel for me ...but I guess untill battery technology advances again probably not in a little while
I'm looking to get the master within the next couple months
which of the two Masters do you think you'll go for?
I still have to test mine for the motor issues - I got one out of the first batch.
I better do that soon lol
Yes, just saw another S22 with motor issues on FB. Then his charger started smoking, almost caught fire b4 he unplugged it...
@@ZenLee Rev Rides actually sent email to all customers who bought one outlining all the tests and what to look for. I am still working on my skills using the V10F; the S22 is way too much wheel for me right now. That's why I left the V12 in the box. If I am not confident enough to take the V10F around town then I certainly don't need MORE power.
I just knew I wouldn't have the cash later so I invested early on, even though I know I'm not going to be competent until at least next year. I really should test it and then if it fails I could get a refund and invest in other projects as it is starting to look like the S22 is going to be kind of its own thing and I don't think KingSong is going to obsolete it anytime soon - I mean people still buy and and are super happy with the S18, and they still make them.
I think the S22 is going to stick around and maybe even drop a couple hundred USD in price, which would also make sense to wait for.
So here's hoping my wheel fails and I'll just get my money back until I can ride my V10F well enough to hit the trail. I will still sell anyone my V12 NIB (original double box even) for 2k at this point. After riding it a bit I feel like for my getting coffee and running errands type stuff around town that it's perfect as I don't need a lot of range but I do want some power and lighter weight, and that's basically the V10F in a nutshell.
The new fix is to remove the stator from the motor, then drill and tap in some set screws that permanently lock the ring in place. I thought the plastic part was what was slipping, but there is a metal ring everything is sleeved over, and THAT is what slips.
Love my S22...buut.... if it had a top speed of 85km/hr I wouldn't be looking at other wheels.... Maybe next season I'll see what's battle tested and available. Also for 126v I was expecting more. Finally I'll also be doing the 3D printed suspension bearing mod to fully unlock the S22's offroad capability...... I just have a need for speed :P
what other wheels interest you? Have you tried the Master?
Are you in the loop about the catastrophic failure of most all S22's motors manufactured prior to July 2022? I've been waiting on a pre-order since it was announced. My dealer is doing everything possible to only deliver a ride-able wheel, and many others out there now are severely flawed. I'm holding out for a proper S22. I believe it suits my needs out of all wheels, it just has to work.
yes, honestly the S22 seems like a disaster, but the dealers seem to be doing a good job of keeping everyone happy. Saw an S22 charger almost catch fire today on fb, started smoking he had to unplug is fast.
@@ZenLee As sketchy as some of the issues are, I'm still waiting on Delivery of an S22. With the motor issue identified, this wheel suits my needs 100%. It's like an S18 on steroids!
What about S22 vs T4?
Id take the T4 100%
Well maybe in specs they are best... but 4 me an offroad wheel has to have an IP rating... therefore the Hero is better in my eyes... if the Master gets better Ip rating than it can be best offroad but as far as water can kill the Master well... with an offroad wheel I have to not be concurned about the weather at all... but thats just what I think... all the best... gruuuzzz
Can S22 outrun an angry wolf pack ?
What’s the top speed you hit ?
on which one?
@@ZenLee on the s22
@@ZenLee I’m returning my Onewheel GT. and getting the s22… you think it’s worth it ?
@@ludens5319
I'd love to get a GT, maybe wait a lil longer before S22, make sure they fix all the problem. If you do buy one, get it from a good dealer with good warranty.
@@ZenLee I’ll call and ask if the issues have been fixed I’m buying it through rev riders and buying the 1 year warranty
If you are a commuter you definitely want the master...I got screwed with the s22, but then I'm not a damn influencer that gets the wheels for FREE, to try out their hearts desire...
Who the hell needs a 750 lb spring???
🤘🤙🧡
one thing you forgot was safety oh and the smart bms
mmm, would call the S22 safe with all the issues its having, but hopefully in the future it will be. So far the T4 seems much safer.
@@ZenLee the t4, master, and s22 are all problematic but the s22 will actually get the problems fixed (hopefully) and begode has the worst bms and the s22 has the best (not sure if that is true but that is what i heard)
@@VECTOR_Coasters your way off on this one, the new T4's are already fixed and the old ones are 99% good. Only been 1 bad motor in the US, and that was with Chooch.
@@ZenLee oh i thought there were the same amount of bad motors on the t4 as the s22 but now that i think about it yeah that makes sense so at least are the bms better on the s22 then the begode?
@@VECTOR_Coasters never seen a T4 catch fire and probably never will, have seen an s20 catch fire. Also heard many bms type of issues with the S22, haven't heard of any with the T4 and probably never will. Maybe in a year or so the S22 will work out the kinks.
Master is dangerous. It needs much more bigger battery to feed that top speed. It is so easy to have cut-outs from riding master.
I lol'ed when I heard you as my experience with the master is complete shit ... the S22 is better in EVERY WAY EXCEPT the master- torque/speed. At 6.4 265 lbs the s22 rips me through trails at a wicked fast reliable (much more reliable way than when that master would bottom out non stop. I find it funny because if you werent biased you would notice the s22 has tons of torque(it just needs to be used) and at 265lbs before gear I gone up 40 degrees hills too ... as a package I like everything s22 has except the begodes pedals and speed.. King song hit one out the park esp for Tails raiders with tons of jumps ansd even road sctions... the s22 just feels great when u ride it... well built.
ya i think the Master is the wheel for me. The new Ex30 is really tempting but that price is a big turn off
Master is a great wheel! The Ex30 is only about $300-400 more. Might be worth it for the bigger battery if your doing long range street rides.
Zen your master is plastic s22 is metal....... suspension on the s22 is better and if you change it to roller sliders it's 50% better then the already better s22......
Be that as it may, Masters are having virtually 0 issues whereas S22s are in serious trouble, might even be a recall if another charger or wheel catches fire.
@@ZenLee sorry to tell you this but batch 2-3 caught and fixed all major quality issues
@@ZenLee to be fair I think all wheels are not without issues.. just had a friend's Master board fail 3 days after getting it... just got his new board and hope it will be ok for him
@@skiddysm how come your sorry to tell me that, if you watch the video I asked the question: what are the updates between batches. Saw a batch 2 charger almost catch on fire yesterday...
@@azertube77 sure, but the S22 has had more issues than any EUC in the history of EUCS (at least my 3 years in the world) Even more than the V12.
These are unreliable toys, lots of fun but they can't take the abuse of off road.. throw the same cash at a decent dirt bike and be done with it, you'll go a hell of a lot faster and won't spend all your time fixing or waiting for parts
mmm... I've good thanks though. Parts are cheap, and easy to work on machine. Haven't had any issues, and the tech is improving.
