KNOCKOUT!!! What Really Happened (Jiri Prochazka vs Alex Pereira)

- Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka was a very good fight where Pereira found the left hook and won the fight by knockout, an early stoppage though. What did Jiri do successfully? What did Pereira capitalize on? How great is Pereira?

I agree with the stoppage. If Jiri says it's a good stoppage, then it's a good stoppage.
Hes just a chad and doesn’t complain.
i think it was premature. Dominick Reyes koed Jiri for a second too.
@@midnightgaming9849jiri was on top when that happened and it was lil hard to tell if he was good, alex had him out twice, looked fine to me

Shows the class of Jiri. Most fighters would make excuses and cry about an early stoppage, jiri knew he was beaten fair even if he wasnt out.
Jiri saying himself it was a good stoppage solidified it for me. Amazing night of fights.
Props to Jiri for admitting it
He said that because his left leg is in pain
That's truly awful and the most scummy thing to do of using someone wanting to avoid controversy against them so that you can crap on them. And says a lot about Weasle too that he would like this comment and shares the same low mentality of using someone's civility against them. Every Jiri fight he repeatedly looks almost finished, every pro fighter on twitter said it was an early stoppage. But Jiri makes the mistake of being humble and people like you go low enough to use it against them so you can crap on them. Absolutely disgusting.
Yeah but thats just the "humble warrior no excuse samurai" image that he is protecting
Yeah just like when he fought reyes right?he was out too.but recover fast.
Poatan calling Adesanya out to drag him out of whatever he’s going through right now. He’s giving him a goal to motivate him because he sees that by 2027, Adesanya would’ve wasted some good years of his career. Poatan is actually the friend that Adesanya never thought he’d make. Respect

There is in no way, shape or form, equal respect coming from these two. The ONLY reason any of it looks respectable is because of Alex. Especially after tonight, Izzy is still very deeply insecure about this man and they are not friends at all because of it.

When you said Jiri might have been desperate. I think he was. Those leg kicks were giving him so much trouble and it looked like he just couldn't keep up the movement with a compromised leg. It was clear that in the 2nd round he just kinda tried for haymakers and got progressively more and more desperate to finish the fight fast.
Jiri literally won the first round and got robbed by a way too early stoppage. It's like you're not allowed to be hurt at all in fights anymore or it immediately gets stopped. There were literally fights on this same card before Jiri and Alex where guys were way more hurt than Jiri was and the fight went the distance.

Sure you can say it was an early stoppage. Maybe it was, although even that is heavily debatable. But let's grant you that.
What do you think happens in the rest of the fight? 1. Jiri gets a lucky KO and wins 2. Periera wins by decision or by KO after Jiri can barely walk and can't utilize his movement as he usually does.

Marc Goddard has been very inconsistent in the last few main events. Given how he stopped this fight, he should have stopped the Aljo Omalley fight the same way. Aljo was literally defenseless and taking unnecessary damage after a certain point.

bro stfu it was an early stoppage 😂 stop trying to turn it around
Nothing to study, he relies on it when he gets hurt and starts backpedaling. It's fast and bails him out of bad situations against overextended fighters. Izzy used the same against him in the second fight.
College footaball players get CTE. I think if you go pro in combat sports, avoiding CTE is basically impossible. That ship has long sailed, they can only delay it by a decade but it would haunt them when they're on their 60's or 70's.

I was cage side and Jiri was out twice and badly hurt. Once with a short left and then when Alex landed sharp elbows . Yes we've seen Jiri bounce back, we've seen other fighters get dominated and end up winning the fight, we've seen KOs. Sometimes refs miss the KO and mistake it as a wobble, and the fight continues but Goddard saw the KO and stopped the fight as he is suppose to.

He won't
He is mentally stable, he will come back
Izzy looks a complete shell of the fighter he was before the first Alex fight and only reason he won 2nd was Alex was depleted from weight cut he has a much higher punch tolerance at LH Izzy got him with a lucky punch then made it sound like it was his game plan was his game plan to almost get knocked out then throw a looping lucky punch Alex is now 3x UFC champ thanks to Strickland 😂
Sorry went off track a bit so my point was,I'm not sure if jiri will come back the same he's mentally very strong but I think those leg kicks will give him nightmares I don't know if he had an off night but he didn't look too good tonight Alex power from such a short distance is scary
@@gordonanderson2011Jiri beat Alex tho, a corrupt ref stopped it early
Thing is, when Jiri was out vs Reyes he fell on top of Reyes. So the ref couldnt notice it and Reyes couldnt finish him. Pereira was winning, and he wouldve hurt Jiri bad. And Jiri himself says he was out (he probably doesnt remember what happened at all).
jiri was never out vs reyes he wooped reyes ass what were u watching
People here really wanted to see Jiri get punched out even more 😂
The most amazing thing is that Alex got Viciously Ko'd earlier in the year and he fought twice and is champion again.
That ko was super clean
Wasn't a early stoppage tbh
For Pereira's approach against Jiri, it's definitely a solid answer since Jiri's a weird fighter. Minimize risk by making yourself unavailable to be hit as much as possible while you study your opponent.
Solid answer
Yeah well put
We need theweasle for boxing 🤦🏿♂️💯💯
He got saved by the ref, and he didnt complain of the stoppage, its all good, great fight look forward to them rematching one day
alex reacts a bit weird when he gets hit
He no sells the punches in a way that makes it obvious when his bell is rung. Almost like a teetering Jenga tower
Its almost as if he has hands of stone or something
Jiri's constant smiles and him saying let's go was fucking terrifying you could even tell it kinda threw alex off but he kept his composure and finished him.
The goat discussions are simply ridiculous.
It seemed to me like Alex wasn't affected by Jiris punches at all. He never seemed wobbled or even a concerned look on his face. He seems like he has a much better chin in this weight division. Great win by Alex. Hopefully, we'll get to see these two fight in the future again.
Yup nobody's talking about all the shots Poatan eat easily.
I don't think he was eating them that well. He was very defensive and giving big reactions even to shots that landed on him at their end. I love Poatan but excluding the leg kicks he got very lucky here. That's my read.
@@yuliangeorgievyes jiri got power too alex seems hesitant to throw punch even jiri defense was open
@@yuliangeorgiev Yeah, I just completely disagree. He never looked rattled by any of those shots from Jiri. He always gives big reactions or what appear to be big reactions. It's just the way his defense is. His facial expression never changes, and his eyes were clear every time. He seemed to just be pacing himself and looking for the counter when Jiri would blitz him. But I respect your opinion. Just disagree. Cheers!
I wasn’t unhappy with the stoppage tbh
A good stoppage is never late, nor is it early. It arrives precisely when it means to
