can I use carrots, or potatoes, instead of bread?
@@DJKoolKingyes. villagers need 3 loaves of bread, 12 carrots, 12 beetroot, or 12 potatoes in their inventory to breed. so you can use any of those to breed them, but bread only requires them to have 3 before they start breeding, and every other crop requires 12. but since it takes 3 wheat to make a loaf of bread, it's technically 9 wheat, which is still less expensive than the other foods but it really just depends on what you have more of.

IMPORTANT: BUILD A ROOF.
For God's sake, build a roof or a box, about 5-6 blocks above them and around them. If lightning strikes within 4 blocks of them, they'll be permanently turned into witches.
Lighting rods too
The chances of this happening is really really low

@@user-mw2cj8lj5v my pen of sheep got hit twice, two different storms 2 whole herds. Moved the pen and again lost the herd I can only imagine they got hit again.

That I have not tried, to be fair.
I am completely satisfied with the amount of villagers it generated for me, since I only needed two variations of librarians (namely, Unbraking III and, ofc, Mending)

Edit ~ I didn’t even feed them or put any food in the dispensers yet, but as soon as I dropped the second villager in the box they popped out three kids😭this farm works great already!

Add two observers behind the bread dispenser so you don’t have to keep flicking the lever, than you only use the lever to turn the auto dispensar off . Hope this helps :)

The red part of the observer should be facing the dispenser right?

Works very well but the only problem I have with it is the babies will move to the corner where the mine carts deploy and they will be picked up first for the adults. It makes it very annoying to have to continue to wait 20 min for them to grow up so i can move it to my trading hall

I just wanted to point out this is so easy to work with I was able to create a blueprint for it without any graph paper. It's compact and easy to understand that way. 😄
What kind of blueprint? Litematica?
@@duckny8316 I took paper and drew grids. I planned out the build layer by layer that way. It's not particularly hard at all to do as long as you assign meaning to particular boxes as blocks.
@@capesword111 Hey I have a problem maybe you can help. I have a question, I build a nether portal at the village and then move them like 30 blocks in the nether (Out of the village/beds/work stations and I will also break their beds.) The question is will they unlink from the beds

I fell in with my villagers lmao. Was basically going to starve myself to death, but with some well placed scaffold I was able to deploy a boat and get get out. Was one of those ah crap moments.

Well it works great. However, my villagers somehow brought food with them and are breeding in the iron farm. They keep tossing bread to each other.😅

still work now,i can confirm,make sure add roof or box above the villager breeder (the two you put in one block space) within 4 blocks around them,because if lightning struck within radius of 4 blocks of these villager breeder,they will be witches

They don't seem to be creating any babies. I put carrots in the dispenser and flicked it a lot of times but it just doesn't seem to work. They made one but that's it.

Building it was easy after following your guide. The only difficulty I faced was to bring the villagers here. I had to make them cross a sea. And after I took them off the boat they would start running here and there.😂😂😂

@@GiraffeConductor yes they did, if yours aren't linking then make sure you've placed the farm at least 150 blocks from your base - or any trading halls/villages. if it's still not working, try going to nearby villages and breaking their beds/bells

Is this one more efficient/less buggy then the one you posted 2 years ago I built that one on one of my most played worlds like 6 months ago and it’s been working great was gonna build it on my realm now I’m wondering if I should make this one instead. The other one did have some really small issues but overall it was amazing. Love ur videos man
This one is more efficient. It removes the need to manually separate the baby villagers from the adults with a piston.

Why is all my bread going into the water when I use the dispenser did I build something wrong
I wanted to extend more villagers by extending the beds. When I was on the fourth wall and started using the food dropper, The villagers wouldn't breed anymore, even when I walked away to do things. Any tips?
I ran through 3 stacks of bread for both villagers and they still havent breeded do i need more bread?

@@heyu2395 all you have to do is give the villagers a stack of food, potatoes carrots bread, ect, and then place down a bed for each of them, and another for a baby villager. each time you want a new villager you need to place down a bed. but all they require is a stack or 2 of food and then afk near the farm and it will work, they only breed for the amount of food they have so you have to restock

cant you make a redstone clock instead of having to pull the lever sever times to feed them?
you could but then make sure you shut it off when the villagers stop picking up the food because otherwise a bunch of it may end up despawning.

Holy shit this is the best tutorial on any topic I've ever seen.
Note: each new villager costs 3 bread, 12 carrots, 12 potatoes, or 12 beetroots. Technically, if you use fortune when harvesting, carrots and potatoes are the cheapest. However, bread is convenient since you need way less individual items. And beetroot is the worst by far as always.
