Wrong with one point. Ryan has head movement and he didn't get dropped from lack of head movement. He got dropped from a feint to the body that delivered to the top. Just like when Broner thought maidana was going to the body with a hook but went to the top instead causing broner to block low and leave his face open and get dropped.
also he failed to mention Ryan fought at super lightweight, fought Haney 6 times in the amateurs with head gear and amateur gloves. They went 3-3 so the technique is there. Imagine without it, Haney would get blasted in my opinion since the heigh and reach are almost similar. Barrios is levels below Ryan in technique. He fought a old Gamboa and he failed to mention the only fighter they both fought took tank 8 rounds with a controversial KO to the back of the head instead of Ryan 1st round KO with a clean left hook. And also Santa Cruz went up in weight to fight tank. That’s the only good fighter on his resume. Tank as a southpaw and Ryan’s left hook is the biggest weakness for a southpaw.

Very good analysis. You got proven right last night. Garcia has potential and if he works on his defense he will be amazing. Davis is a level above. Calm, composed, smart. He already has the defensive skills. This video will age well.
Good breakdown. Can't wait for the fight. Lack of head movement is normal for taller fighters but could improve his pivot. For the speed he has I would not write him off that easy against Davis.
i wouldn’t either, he’s got a bag and we saw his media day, he didn’t plan on giving details abt his training camp, i feel like he’s got more arsenal than just a left hook
Great breakdown! I always told folks this would not be close. Ryan is nowhere near ready for someone like Tank - he doesn’t have the head movement to avoid Tank’s punches and he wouldn’t be able to handle his power at all!
Crazy talk I don’t even like Garcia but to say it wouldn’t be close is delusional. People seem to mention his only attribute is his speed but his power is def up there with Tank’s power. Not to mention his clear physical advantage there’s a reason Floyd doesn’t want this fight at 140
I think it would be competitive for five rounds. If Ryan could get help developing a very solid plan to protect his body and get his chin off the center line when tank steps in, he could possibly drag it out long enough to get the walk down with the hook. One of the things about tank is he uses level changes so much and uses his down low to lean off and swing up high. Problem is, Ryan's chin is gonna be a hard thing to reach if there is a very functional game plan to be moving back efficiently when tank steps in to throw those body shots. I just don't think the level change game is going to work a lot like it usually does, but I still think Tank can get the job done
Man I had to come back here and appreciate the accuracy of your analysis CZcams has so much hidden talent when it comes to analyzing ESPN/showtime need to give you guys more recognition.
It is a tough one to pick for me. I agree that Tank should be the betting favourite and that his opponent level is much better, but he did get hit a lot in his last fight. I think Garcia is a very live underdog
I get what your saying but I think people don't realize how good his last opponent was. I feel like we will hear about Hector Garcia again in the future.
You sorta forgot to mention that Ryan throws throws his right straight just like a jab. It’s probably one of his more underrated punches he has that’s not being talked about. It’s really impressive to see a straight right being shot so quickly. It’s what he’s been using to disable fighters who are smaller than him and are trying to get closer. He throws the jab and the straight right after another. As mentioned it’s really impressive.
That’s cool and I like Ryan but his defense and fundamentals are no where near an elite level but I also don’t know what Tank has done for all these people to be meat munching him.
Your breakdown for how Tank was 'diverse' amounted to 'he's really patient' and can 'fight off the backfoot'. You mentioned nothing about his footwork, head movement, jab, counters or slips.
One thing you’re not taking into account is Tank’s tendency to lean forward when he walks in. He also has low volume early in his fights. Knocking out Santa Cruz and those guys is different than Ryan. Granted, I have Tank winning. However, I do account for the fact that Tank’s stance and approach early in fights can make it so that Ryan knocks him out early. For me, it comes down to if Ryan can catch him early, or if the fight wears on and Tank takes over. I pick Tank but there are things in Ryan’s favor that makes it dangerous for Tank. I don’t see this fight being such a lock for Tank like many do. If Tank was busier early on and stood with his head leaning back more, then I would see this as a lock. However Tank has flaws that makes him vulnerable too.
Great breakdown. Ppl think Tank is just a puncher, bc when its all said and done. Boom they're knocked out. But if you really watch him. He's elite in everything one needs to have in boxing. Footwork, speed, reflexes, spacing, and IQ. Tank is just levels above most boxers. Tank never comes in with the same gameplan which makes him probably the most lethal boxer from 130 to 140.
Yeah but all these idiots out here don't know what they're talking about. They watch a few highlights and think they know about boxing. Your comment is spot on. 👌
Everything went exactly the way this man said. Ryan's footwork and lack of head movement got him clipped numerous times and Gervonta was extremely technical wielding his greatest strength and easily won.
I don't know. If Davis spends 5 rounds "downloading" Garcia, he's going to be down 5 rounds to zero. He better have a little more urgency than usual. And if Davis gets caught, Garcia _can_ hurt him. I think this is more like a coin flip.
I've never seen your channel before I only watched because i wanted to see how well your prediction aged and I wasn't disappointed, liked and subscribed my man
They both bring strengths to the table that makes this fight nearly unpredictable to know who will win.. and that’s what makes a great boxing matchup. It could be anyone’s night on the day.
Just as a reminder, I believe the belts Tank won were the WBA regulars (correct me if I'm wrong), which is sort of the equivalent to an interim, since the WBA no longer has interim belts
They’re practically interims they’re usually first in line for mandatories and if the champ is stripped, put in champion in recess or vacates, the regular champ is elevated to WBA super champ status so basically tank is a one division champion what I dislike about his breakdown is how he worded it knowing full well those are regular titles not full world titles and by saying he won 4 titles in 3 divisions instead of he’s a 3 weight/division world champ it comes of abit biased and no I’m not a fan of Ryan can’t wait till they both hit 140 cause that division is stacked
@@tortugadave8765 he won legit IBF and WBA titles at Super Feather (130), Devin Haney is undisputed at 135, and Josh Taylor was undisputed at 140. That means Tank was unified champion at 130, but the other belts are secondary titles at 135 and 140.
I sat next to Ryan Garcia at the airport for 2 hours after he got his ass kicked at the nationals in 2014. This kid wouldn’t stfu about how great his was for 2 hours. Yes, but WHO has he even fought? Barrios is nothing at that weight. Leo Santa Cruz is small too, and also 1 dimensional. Rolly is a joke. So is Isaac, who btw is another tiny guy. @@Timetiger See that’s exactly what I’m talking about. You talk about how you’re not a Garcia fanboy when you literally rank him higher than all of Tank’s opponents. Isaac Cruz and Mario Barrios would mop the floor with Garcia first of all. Garcia even avoided Cruz after calling him a D level fighter. You call Tank too small when almost all of his opponents are bigger than him and have the height and reach advantage. Those are the same people who thought he was gonna lose to Barrios for those reasons and he proved them horribly wrong. Garcia literally wouldn’t be any different lmao. Garcia has way more than just flat feet his head movement is whack and he leaves his chin in the air. Everybody and their mom knows that if Tank landed the shot that Campbell used to drop Garcia, Garcia would’ve died. And no, old ass Fortuna and Campbell aren’t better than Tank’s best wins, maybe if they were in their prime and in their proper weight classes then maybe but now? Hell no. There’s a reason Ryan avoided Fortuna last year but was in a rush to fight him this year after finding out the fight would be at 140 where he would clearly have all the advantages.
“Hey two rounds, two rounds Tank”, two rounds is about as long as it would take for Davis to force feed you the revelation that there are levels to this sport, and he’s on a higher one. Any round survived after that while knowing in the back of your mind what’s coming is impressive.

Great break down. I don't follow much boxing but I love tanks style and didn't know much about Ryan. It seems like a compelling match up just with Ryan's confidence, it'll be interesting to see how tank deals with that. Thanks for making this video! 🍀
Enjoyed this breakdown. My favourite fighters in the 135 are Tank, Devin and Ryan. So the fact that Ry and Tank are fighting is super exciting. I feel like it will be a Wilder vs Fury kinda fight. I would really love to see Ryan vs Devin or Devin vs Tank as well.

Very good analysis. You got proven right last night. Garcia has potential and if he works on his defense he will be amazing. Davis is a level above. Calm, composed, smart. He already has the defensive skills. This video will age well.
This aged well .. who else is here after the fight ?
Good breakdown. Can't wait for the fight. Lack of head movement is normal for taller fighters but could improve his pivot. For the speed he has I would not write him off that easy against Davis.
i wouldn’t either, he’s got a bag and we saw his media day, he didn’t plan on giving details abt his training camp, i feel like he’s got more arsenal than just a left hook
He was wrote off baby
Great breakdown! I always told folks this would not be close. Ryan is nowhere near ready for someone like Tank - he doesn’t have the head movement to avoid Tank’s punches and he wouldn’t be able to handle his power at all!
Crazy talk I don’t even like Garcia but to say it wouldn’t be close is delusional. People seem to mention his only attribute is his speed but his power is def up there with Tank’s power. Not to mention his clear physical advantage there’s a reason Floyd doesn’t want this fight at 140

@@Leonardo-hx9lk unfortunately,
Very true. Especially since they both got fights before them.
I guess I am
I think it would be competitive for five rounds. If Ryan could get help developing a very solid plan to protect his body and get his chin off the center line when tank steps in, he could possibly drag it out long enough to get the walk down with the hook. One of the things about tank is he uses level changes so much and uses his down low to lean off and swing up high. Problem is, Ryan's chin is gonna be a hard thing to reach if there is a very functional game plan to be moving back efficiently when tank steps in to throw those body shots. I just don't think the level change game is going to work a lot like it usually does, but I still think Tank can get the job done

I'm not the hugest boxing fan but these breakdowns are really entertaining. Great work keep it up!
As mentioned it’s really impressive.
its a straight it aint that deep lol
@Silent Witness he didnt say he was better and had good defense lol. Hes jus talkin ab how good his straight is but yea tank gonna ko him
It's called a straight.
That’s cool and I like Ryan but his defense and fundamentals are no where near an elite level but I also don’t know what Tank has done for all these people to be meat munching him.
Ur mexican im guessing…
You called it man! I'll be watching your channel from now on.

Hats off to you man! I hope your channel continues to grow!
Your breakdown for how Tank was 'diverse' amounted to 'he's really patient' and can 'fight off the backfoot'. You mentioned nothing about his footwork, head movement, jab, counters or slips.
That's because this guy knows very little about boxing. I hate using the term but he's a true casual fan who pretends he's an expert.

love a nice calm collect breakdown of an opinion, thanks for the vid and the hard work!
Turns out your were right Tank is obviously levels above Garcia.
Im helping you come back to this and feel stupid.
Your prediction was accurate.
@@trelwilliams5003 Why would he feel stupid? have you seen the fight? he's right.

@@trelwilliams5003 how? they were right..

I don’t think Ryan would win but a fight with Tank could definitely do wonders for him and what he could learn from the fight
Hard to learn anything in a coma
@@maxtitus5053 damn 💀
All gervonta has to do is stay patient and not rush, and it's easy work for him.
I don't know. If Davis spends 5 rounds "downloading" Garcia, he's going to be down 5 rounds to zero. He better have a little more urgency than usual.
And if Davis gets caught, Garcia _can_ hurt him.
I think this is more like a coin flip.

Just as a reminder, I believe the belts Tank won were the WBA regulars (correct me if I'm wrong), which is sort of the equivalent to an interim, since the WBA no longer has interim belts
Haney got all belts !!!!!!!! That matter
His first WBA title was the WBA Super, then he won an IBF strap at lightweight, and the rest are WBA regulars.
@@tortugadave8765 he won legit IBF and WBA titles at Super Feather (130), Devin Haney is undisputed at 135, and Josh Taylor was undisputed at 140. That means Tank was unified champion at 130, but the other belts are secondary titles at 135 and 140.
Tank is a 5X titlist - IBF and WBA Super (2X) at 130, WBA Regular at 135, WBA Regular at 140

I sat next to Ryan Garcia at the airport for 2 hours after he got his ass kicked at the nationals in 2014. This kid wouldn’t stfu about how great his was for 2 hours. One thing about him is he’s incredibly confident and determined!! No doubt about that!!! I took him as super cocky. I could definitely see him getting knocked out thinking he has at in the bag. Just earned yourself a subscriber my boy, Really appreciate this breakdown 🔥🔥 P.S. Tank has fought in 4 weight classes, He started at 126
He did? I never knew that, I always thought he started at 130
Yes, but WHO has he even fought? Barrios is nothing at that weight. Leo Santa Cruz is small too, and also 1 dimensional. Rolly is a joke. So is Isaac, who btw is another tiny guy. Let's see Tank fight a top dog at 135 already. Haney, Loma or even Garcia would be better fights than we have seen from Tank. Even Shakur once he moves up to 135 would be a great fight.
@@Timetiger Garcia ain’t fought nobody. He beat an old out of prime Fortuna at a weight class where Fortuna never fought at, and he beat an out of prime Campbell who was coming off of COVID. But you Garcia fangirls are just gonna ignore that. Tank’s resume is far above Garcia’s but casuals like you wouldn’t know
@@openingshift7070 When did I say I was a Garcia fanboy? My fav fighters at 135 are Loma and Haney. I just don't buy into the hype that Tank is this killer because he knocked out a weak ass fighter like Rolly Romero. Ryan is just as dangerous as tank bc despite his questionable footwork, he has all of the physical advantages. Tank is a tiny dude. Haney will box his little ears off, but we won't know bc people like you you stay protecting him fighting nobodies for McDonald's belts.
Btw fortuna and Campbell are undeniably better wins than any of Tank's victories. Especially recently. Or do you believe rolly Romero is better than fortuna?

Lol wtf didn’t other Garcia last like 7 rounds?? 😂😂🤣
