Adding discards would be even more intense and much more interesting so I reckon its a good idea going forward. Love the content m8

Go for a corner, opponenet usually goes middle, goa second corner and you might be able to hit 3 corners for 2 possible wins. Also if you want to add discards, you could number all squares 1-9 (randomly) then pick a number from alexa or something similar, do one per grid and those are your discards. If any are not in the game anymore, then there a default 10K TOTW or something.
Corner is meta for starting as it's easier to trap your opponent into losing via 2 ways

True but assuming you both know what your doing it should always be a tie
Corners are the meta when you go first. Even though middle opens up more opportunities, there’s only one way to stop a corner. Although you also gotta think 2 moves ahead.
For example, if P1 goes corner and P2 goes middle, P1 needs to take the OPPOSITE corner. If P2 then takes a third corner, P1 can take the fourth corner and trap P2. P2 can avoid this by going on an edge and forcing P1 into picking an edge.
If P1 goes corner and P2 does anything else, P1 is guaranteed a win if he plays his cards right.

Corners are meta. It's not about how many ways you can win, it's about where the human brain most often fails to recognize ways to lose, especially when it can end up being 2 ways You can't control the board from the middle.

If you add discards the loser of each round should discard someone out of the 9 players on the board that round. Maybe use a wheel to decide who it is. Great vid keep it up
