After last night’s finale, the character of Saul Goodman is officially one of the greatest tv characters of all time.
Talked them down to 7 1/2 years .. his monologue was effing beautiful 🤩 loved it .. I even believed him lol
I would add Kim Wexler to the list. They - as a couple - were just great.
It's one of the only finale's Ive liked and actually believed could happen to the character besides breaking bad.
I think its one of the best season finales ive ever had a chance to witness, what a ride !
and ofc : can't wait for better fuel huel
@@toms5996 Yeah, Kim is a phenomenal character. And the love story between her and Jimmy is just so powerful. Not usually a fan of romance in fiction but when it's done with such subtlety and intelligence, it's wonderful to watch. Their relationship was the heart of the show, and that only made the ending more devastating.
It's crazy that they took a comic relief character and made him into the epicenter of the entire breaking bad universe
It's really sad when you realize that we will never see anymore of Better Call Saul. I will surely rewatch it
They could do a series where he runs the prison crime syndicate where they all answer to him.
Starting Breaking bad all over!
@@rupeyy300 same here! Started right now!
@@pitchking5496 same
@@rupeyy300 Me too. Always knew I would do a rewatch and when they announced Better Call Saul I figured I would wait until that was done.
“The fans knew I looked older and didn’t care!” This is because the show respects the audience so much throughout, that it’s easy to let things like this slide.
This guy better win his EMMY for SAUL GOODMAN, one of the greatest characters of all time
One for Saul one for Jimmy
He needs to win 4 Emmys
Jimmy
Saul
Gene
James
@@nont18411 what about for special agent jeffrey steele?
@@jonathantonks6304 And for Viktor Saint Claire
When do the Emma's happen?
That series finale was absolute perfection. BCS is probably the greatest show I've ever watched, it's just immaculate.
It's a constant theme with the people who watched from start to finish, I think. I say the same it's probably my favorite show and Saul is one of my favorite characters of all time.
It’s crazy to say it’s just as good as breaking bad but in reality it really is!!
@@g1nek17 I know right, now I can only see it as a whole series, BCS+BrBa as a whole. Pure perfection 🤌🏻
Can’t wait to rewatch the entire series again via Netflix 🍿
Lol just wait till you watch Breaking Bad
The best show! No one but Bob Odenkirk could have played Saul as he did with that voice and demeanor. He ran with the character and made it what it wonderfully is. Such talent and he should be recognized for it with an Emmy.
It hasn’t been done before: a brilliant finale to a brilliant series. From makeup to actors, writers and producers, BB and BCS are the GOATS
The SHIELD's ending was a banger. This is right next to it. Amazing finale.
@@TheOneZurick those last two episodes of the Shield hit hard! Love that show. And Breaking Bad is my all time favorite.
@@TheOneZurick There are numerous greater shows, but the ending to the underappreciated The Shield is the greatest of all time
“It hasn’t been done before” lol
A brilliant finale to a brilliant series hasn't been done before? Lmao check again.
When I watched Bob on Breaking Bad, he was always a scene stealer but he was like the comic relief. Better Call Saul let him show so much more range. I never imagined he would move me in the tragic ways he did with that character. Just an absolutely amazing actor. He can do it all. Dunno if he can sing & dance but I would not be surprised.
When i heard that BCS was happening, I was lIke "ugh i don't know if i can watch 100% Saul" but i'm SOOO glad I gave it a chance. It's such stunning television.
@@theredheadsaidNYC You pre-judged it, Charlene!
Based on the karaoke scenes in the show singing might be the one thing he can’t do 😅
@@deliathemchale I just finished watching it today so I remember he did some decent vibrato twice, once in one of the last episodes singing along to a song in his car as Gene, another time he sang a little "Ta-Da" in an episode that sounded oddly pretty lol.
I find it so endearing that Bob always seems genuinely shocked when people know who he is and like him
He probably still feels like a behind the scenes type of guy.
That's why I will forever enjoy Bob and Conan podcasts talking about how they made it and who they worked with.
Same
Right? I mean, he will NEVER know that I imagine him as characters in the fiction I read. His face is always there as some shady dude. He made it to my every book-face list.
Odenkirk is so immensely talented and seems like such a cool dude. Love him ❤️
I hope he wins a Emmy. He did a amazing job in Better Call Saul.
Knowing they all watched the finale together makes me so happy. Now I wanna watch it again
I love Bob so much, thats it. He's just the best.
I put in the same category as Tom Hanks. Just seems like a genuinely good person.
Bob “I wasn’t very good at SNL”
Also Bob - wrote literally one of the most memorable SNL sketches of all time… and he did it before SNL
@Diego Van down by the River, with Chris Farley. F***ing hilarious.
@@mayaram2411 OMG he wrote that?! Brilliant! That is STILL a catchphrase I use.
It was before SNL for Farley--he did it at Second City first--but Odenkirk started at SNL in '87 at the same time as Conan. I'm not sure how he managed to also write for Get a Life, Conan, and be part of The Ben Stiller Show at the same time but it's pretty amazing.
Over the years Bob has consistently displayed what a great guy he is. He always displays his humility and humanity and his sense of humor is wicked. I hope Bob and Better Call Saul win all the awards. Everyone on that show just knocked it out of the park.
the way Bob laughs at his own questions... so good
Better call Saul is one of my all time favorite shows, brilliant. It wouldn't have been anywhere near as successful without Bob Odenkirk , a perfect Saul.
I love that Bob is laughing at his own questions!!
I love Al & Bob! Saw Al speak in Austin last Christmas, just as genuine and funny in person. Truly enjoyed his tales of interactions with members of congress!!
After watching the finale I got these overwhelming feelings about all the regrets I have in life and it really hit home. I wasn't expecting it to end like this. It is a great show one of the best ever.
You’re gonna do fine, Bob. Because you’re good enough, you’re smart enough, and dog gone it people like you.
thats a good affirmation!!
My heart is filled when I see Bob happy and having a good time. Same goes for the whole BB BCS cast. 😊
Better Call Saul is character storytelling perfection.
Thank you to all those involved with creating the show. Just like watching the Breaking Bad series, I will truly cherish and remember each moment that I tuned in every Monday night for Better Call Saul.
😭❤️🙏👏
Last night's finale makes it one of the best shows of all time.
"Fact is, Walter White couldn't have done it without me... You got that?"
i love this man! i’m gonna keep supporting him as long as he keeps bringing joy into the world
I love how Bob speaks to the audience and not to the host.
I love Bob such a humble person thank you for all your hard work as Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman can’t wait to see his new show
He’s also Nobody. Looking forward to what Bob does next in his career. Enjoying the hell out of the final season. Hope that crew finds a new story to tell.
I just LOVED that movie :)
Good Lord, Bob is a born entertainer. I couldn't imagine anyone else in the history of the world to play the best TV character of all time.
I like all the love BCS is receiving! It deserves much much more! Such a beautiful show/universe!!! Thank you
I've never seen a show where the protagonist gets what amounts to a life sentence in a Federal Penitentiary and I consider it a "happy" ending...
Never seen a show where so many comedians turn in great dramatic performances.
Brilliant!!! Show is genius
bcs was so ingrained into my routine its gonna be weird without it. wakeup, work, play games, eat food while watching bcs, sleep, repeat.
i first saw bob and bryan cranston as guests on how i met your mother. the difference between those characters and the characters they play on the breaking bad universe shows how great these actors are,
That was such a great series. The acting was perfection. Every single person involved in the production did an amazing job. I know we’re all going to miss it.
Incredible finale... extremely well-written and executed. Top-shelf, Mr. Odenkirk. Was in Hollywood recently and walked for miles to get a shot of your Star on Vine Street.
Bob is such a great actor, it seems like he doesn’t realise how good he is himself, Bob just know everybody loves and appreciates you
Those questions were amazing! I love that Al couldn't stop laughing. Lol
Loved your show Bob Odenkirk , THANK YOU !
Been a fan of Bob's since Mr Show. So freaking brilliant.
BCS was flawlessly written, portrayed and produced. So many emotions, and so much food for thought. Congratulations to all the people involved.
Really miss Al in Washington... run again please!
I agree!!
I'm really gonna miss better call saul. what an amazing show. gonna rewatch the series like 20 times just like breaking bad lol
I want to be friends with Bob! He seems like such a good guy!
Two of my most favorite comedians in the world!
The greatest two episodes of television i've ever seen. Who would of thought that you could make actual art as a television show and people would watch it and get it.
You should watch some shows from the 1970's.
@@Tessmage_Tessera like?
@@KingMinosxxvi Mary Tyler Moore, MASH, All In The Family, Mary Hartman... stuff like that.
One of the best shows ever on TV. Saul was genuinely a good guy but just got lost within himself. Love you Bob
OMG! Every actor should write their own questions...comic genius. I adore Bob.
Ditto!!!
Great interview
If Vince Gilligan's next secret sci-fi project is an X Files (which Gilligan wrote some of the best episodes for) reboot I'd love to see Odenkirk as Cigarette Smoking Man and Jonathan Banks as Walter Skinner or vice versa.
3:04 - Took me a minute to realize that with "[Bob] wrote the motivational speaker…", Al was I guess referring to the Stuart Smalley character he did on SNL? Those sketches always cracked me up; I even had the _I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!_ book. Never caught the terribly reviewed _Stuart Saves His Family_ film that Harold Ramis directed, but given that I'm even a fan of _It's Pat: The Movie_ (a contemporary that grossed only $60K!), I'll have to check it out one of these days.
Such a great show!!
I was so sad when I heard Better call Saul was going to end. Loved all of the characters. I've been watching television for a long time and I think it is the best written! I also loved the film, Nobody too. Please do part 2. Thank you for such great entertainment!
That's great these two SNL alumni get to meet and reminesce having come so far in their careers.
Kudus to Bob for taking control over this interview once he realized Al couldn’t name the BCS Crew and was kinda awkward with his questions
It shows what a good friend he truly is of Al.
Yeah it's clear that he's not good at interviewing people he already knows, because the one with rhea flows better. Either way though he's incredibly awkward during the back and forth, the audience could feel it.
Cuteeee😂😍
he had written all the question but still laughing while hearing them
Bob is a true comedian. Every talk show interview he has a self made skit to perform during the interview it’s so classic and reminiscent of how things used to be. Bob is a legend and it’s forever saul over Walt . On everything
This interview is very informative. Bob is very smart person’
We love you Bob!!
That's just what Saul would do! Bring his own questions to a talk show!!😅😅
He orchestrated it, Bobby!
Two of my generation's elder gods of comedy...thank you!
Bob is such a cool guy. What an awesome thing to be able to be at his house during the finale.
Bob Odenkirk was just hilarious in Breaking Bad. I’d say he was as important a character as Bryan Cranston really.
Bob is awesome and so is the show
Mr. Show with Bob & David is still my all-time favourite
How fkn generous is Bob??? What a great human being.
greatest show and amazing actors
Love this man!
Goshdarn, I love Bob Odenkirk
It’s so hard to say goodbye to Saul Goodman.
from a writer to an honoured guest, when hard work finally pays off
Greatest movie ever made… keep making movies !!!!! 😃👍🏻
Bob we love you!!! All my love and respect from Brazil 🇧🇷❤️❤️
Bob's book, "Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama" is a terrific read and will be on all the bestseller lists, as well as every Christmas wish list. Get it while you can-- it's on its third printing! (the first two were smeared).
One of the greatest tv characters ever played by the most brilliant actor.
I hope Bob and David can remaster their Mr Show DVD to Bluray in near times. Hearing Bob mentioning that made me miss Mr Show very much because I remembered watching the sketch a long-long time ago back in 1996 in my country Indonesia local TV station and put it as midnight 10 PM comedy show.
u got change for a dollar?
@@rocketsmall4547 my favorite sketch is pre-taped in show. It has been spoofed around 5 times with Indonesian comedians as far as I remember. Those comedians have already retired or passed away.
@@rocketsmall4547 the prelude to Ronnie Dobbs sketch
I love Al Franken too. He's brilliant.
Love you Bob😂❤
The finale was brilliant but sad. I had hoped would end on a brighter note, but McGill was in his zone even in prison. I really enjoyed the show and will miss it.
Just great
he was a talented actor before now he is a great one. not only because he is very good but also his dedication and professionalism.
respect and congratulations.
Such a great Show! Loved it! Spin-off?
This guy should have a fist full of Emmys...
Can't wait to see what bob does next. Thanks for all the BB/BCS memories
Bob os voice over work..love it
Talk about a well-executed softball match! 💜
LOVE
now i can finally start watching it
More seasons....... Pleeeese 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
“Nobody” was so effin good. Twas an older “John Wick” mixed with “Fast and the Furious” meets “Mad Max”.😀
Agreed! So fun to watch!
Humble!
Wow Saul Goodman is such a great actor. Playing a guest character in a late night show is really hard!
I love Bob and I love him as James "Jimmy" McGill/Saul Goodman. I hope he gets an Emmy for this last season. BCS's finale was poignant and beautifully done. It's gonna stay with me for a long time. 🥺 What a Show! What an Ending! 🙌
If you love Odenkirk, please find his film, Nobody. Just do it
*Excellent* movie. Great thrill ride.
gave him a hug, i like that
I love you Bob
You can tell the age of the audience when it wasnt a huge reaction for the Farley sketch.
Good to see you back Al
There is a special warm-and-fuzzy sentiment when someone who makes it big acknowledges a person who helped him in the past. It is rare, unfortunately. People who become successful often minimize the help they received and credit themselves for their achievements.
