@@UNKNOWN_ED1TS thanks a lot 😊
Wo long is better than sekiro. Next time don't do a vs when the other games is about 5-6 years older
Such a moron
… i haven’t played sekiro, but i have watched a full walkthrough and some other vids of people showing off, can say it has better lore. However, in no damn universe Sekiro gameplay is better than Nioh. You can only play Sekiro in one style, wich is deflecting everything, however the build variety in nioh is Insane. You can make ranged, parry, several types of tank and dps different from each other and all rounder builds

Sekiro is Masterpiece But Nioh 2 is Super Masterpiece 😄
I've beaten every FromSoft game a few times over and I have to disagree with this. Sekiro is a great game but when it comes to combat depth, builds, mechanics, fun factor the stance system and not just defense but ferocious offense, Nioh is King.
Skill issue, you just like op builds 🤢 git good, sekiro is the true definitive edition of getting good no, builds needed, useless farm mechanics, its all about getting good
@@theunknown7441 skill issue lol I've beaten Sekiro 4 times 🤣. You clearly did not read what I wrote. Builds are never needed in any game, it's called variety. Parry Parry Parry Killshot is not depth lol
@@theunknown7441I agree with them and I’ve beaten every boss in sekiro no hit without upgrading attack and without using prosthetics and skills with demon bell and no charm. It’s not a skill issue you troll. Niohs combat becomes much better when you’re not using an overpowered build. Unfortunately most people give up trying to master these mechanics properly and just use op builds because of skill issues lol.
@@theunknown7441 Sekiro is very easy to get good at. All you need to learn is deflect timing, and that's not hard to do. Maybe a jump or a mikiri counter which has huge indicators giving you more than enough time. Nioh also has multiple deflects btw with stricter timing than Sekiro but you wouldn't know that because you haven't played the games.
Finally someone understands , if you're not using a op fist build to bully the enemy nioh combat has much more variety and depths that forces you to do combos otherwise the enemy 2 hit you usually and has way stricter parry timing which can also down you if you dont have enough energy! And sekiro is basically parry , parry ,parry , killshot
Should have done Nioh 2 , much better than Nioh .
Would have won in some categories
I got decently far into nioh 2 matter of fact I still own it but I stopped playing it for awhile tried too came back and part I am at is too difficult I have relearn everything but sekiro I beat twice

I prefer nioh 2 for the combat and rpg and ng+ systems making the game extremely deep and replayable. Sekiro was much too easy to have a very good understanding of how to best deal with absolutely everything in the game .
Also I think the level design and normal enemies are much much better than sekiro. The only mechanical way I prefer sekiro is the bosses what I think are a bit better but not by a massive margin. I do prefer sekiro’s story and art direction by a lot though.

Having cool abilities and more stuff doesn't mean it's better, sekiro is quality over quantity. I'm not saying Nioh is bad btw so don't get this the wrong way.
I’d say two very different games that can be enjoyed for a variety of different reasons, I’d honestly replay Nioh more than Sekiro
Nioh is more like Dark Souls and Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is more like Sekiro imo
@@apashehab5026 ya!

@@apashehab5026 You must leave fromsoft games a bit, they didn't invent everything, nioh is like ninja gaiden and wo long is like dynasty kingdom, both games from the same team ninja/tecmo developer and their difficulty and gameplay come from years before souls existed
@@andycorteshernandez5731 Many team ninja devs admitted they were Dark Souls fans and the reason they were given the project in the first place was due to the huge success of Dark Souls and they credited the game with “saving Nioh from from possible cancellation and allowing progress for development of the game”.
“Other influences included Bloodborne, Onimusha and Diablo”
“The main aim for the developers was to emulate the tough gameplay of the Souls series”
“While the combat was extensively influenced by Souls games, Team Ninja's use of loot was more heavily influenced by the Diablo series”
Do you need any more quotes from the devs or would you like me to provide you with my sources?
Anyways forget all that, both Nioh and Wo Long are categorized as ‘Soulslike’. That’s the category of the games, Soulslike RPG. Doesn’t get more obvious than that.
Video should have had replayability, build diversity, amount of content, dlc and ost as points.
Exactly
@Eddiethebass no, it would have only won ost. Nioh objectively takes all of the other things I listed. And yeah, dlc doesnt really state anything by itself, but Nioh is a good game, Sekiro being better doesnt change that. Dlc means more Nioh for whoever enjoys it. The conclusion in the video isnt wrong(although I wouldnt call Sekiro a masterpiece personally...), but giving every point to one game and skipping the things the other game does better outs the author for being biased.

Both Sekiro and NIOH was fun 😁
I love Sekiro but giving it combat and boss fights over nioh is insane
No it isn't, Sekiro's bossfights are amazing due to the way deflection works where it isn't simply attacking the boss you're also trying to deflect the best you can in order to break their posture. One wrong move with your deflect and you can be put down quick, especially without Kuro's charm. Not to mention Sekiro's bossfights alone are far better than Nioh hopes to be.
@@Bloodhurl67 If you want to get into a competition of nuance for which game is better, I think you simply haven't played Nioh. Nioh has perfect guard, and interacts with the mechanic in a variety of different ways, but also has MUCH much more, especially Nioh 2. The boss variety, enemy variety, general difficulty, replayability, depth in combat mechanics, variety of weapons, ect all put Nioh way above Sekiro. I like both games, but its really no competition.
@@azrael1683 Quality over quantity my dude. Just because something has a lot of things does not make it good. @thelastpersononearth9765 you don't need good loot to play nioh properly. Every time I press the dodge button or even one of the attack buttons(regardless of the weapon) it feels like the devs forgot to add start up and recovery frames to actually show an attack is being done, 1 sec I'm standing still and the next millisecond I've already attacked with my weapon
It feels like an arcade ADHD inducing game where the devs ignored the progress and lessons learned throughout the last decade of combat gaming.
Doesn't help that the visuals and camera angle makes every fight look like a new years firework party where you can barely tell what's happening.
I tried to like this game but it feels like a game that was made back in the early 2000's with no understanding of how combat balancing works and instead just threw together every flashy attack they could think of, called it a Combat System and left it to the fans to call it a "complex deep combat design"
I'm not good at every single combat system out there, but niohs is the ONLY one that stands out as one that didn't evolve with the gaming industry
@@thmistrapillay1811that's your first mistake. You're not supposed to rely on dodging. It's not a souls game. Your life would be infinitely easier of you'd block rather than ttempt to dodge everything. When you do dodge, do it in mid or low stance.

Quality over quantity
@@maxonaroll that was my point, but i can see why people likes nioh's combat more, it just depends on personal preference
It's personal preference honestly. You have more diverse builds in Nioh, sure, but it's also less balanced and most builds still plays the same most of the time. (Not to mention how you can't have tank builds when most enemies 2 shots you near the endgame)
Sekiro on the other hand forces you into just one playstyle which sounds bad on paper, but in reality it results in a extremely well made game balanced around a specific playstyle. It's like how a man can't dress in a woman's clothing and look nice because it's specifically made for women. (Well... If you like femboys I won't judge.)

I've played both, but can't really say it's fair to put these in the same sorta category. Sekiro, despite it being made by FromSoftware, very much feels like it's own identity while funny enough Nioh, made by Team Ninja, feels more Souls-esque with the gameplay. The only comparison I could make is that they arguably share similar time periods lol.
Both stories are vastly different too. Sekiro's a story about sacrifice for the greater good, depending on which ending. (Purification is best for the story imo)
Nioh, so far from what I've played, is a quest for revenge and making allies from unexpected places. Not to mention you play as William "Anjin" Adams, the first Englishman samurai, and meet other historical figures around that time.
Both games are good in their own right, but to compare them like this? Idk about that one chief.
Ah yes, literally the block button simulator should be better than neoh with insane amounts of depth, builds, weapons to learn. Just the average Sekiro fan
He def failed to kill first boss and it made him salty
I was boutta be a lil heated but then I realized it was the first Nioh, first Nioh was okay but they really expanded upon it in nioh 2 and don’t get me wrong I love sekiro but Nioh can definitely hold it’s own sekiro is not sweeping Nioh 2
This is your opinion. Mine is that Nioh is much better.
sekiro win goty
I agree. I enjoyed nioh a lot bc of how much diversity there was in the way u can play
@@dathoang2102 so you only play a game because it wins GOTY? if then you dont play that many video games titles lmao
Nioh be like why god why me 😂😂
FromSoft fanboys are really embarrassing themselves rn lol
Why xD?
@@FaulesGaming idk about the L2 Simulator having better gameplay than Nioh, especially Nioh 2. FromSoft personally focuses too much on spectacle (great art style, nice visuals, a setting that sets the tone, etc) over gameplay. Bloodborne felt like their best effort with balancing gameplay and visuals. Prime example of spectacle over gameplay is Sekiro: players can do some pretty cool things in Sekiro…but the fact that we can only equip *one* combat art, *one* ninjutsu technique, we can only use *one* weapon, and we can’t use any armor sets or accessories…it didn’t take long for Sekiro to feel pretty boring compared to Ninja Gaiden and Nioh. It doesn’t even boil down to quality over quantity, Sekiro’s gameplay is just lackluster due to unnecessary limitations anchoring its potential. Wo Long already has better gameplay than Sekiro because Team Ninja doesn’t rely on nonsensical limitations (artificial difficulty) as much as FromSoft does with their titles.
Nioh overshadows Sekiro’s gameplay for the amount of badass things we can do in that game: multiple weapons (11 categories, we can equip 2), multiple ranged weapons (3 categories, we can also equip 2), multiple skills can be equipped for each stance on every melee weapon, multiple sets of armor, multiple elements to use, multiple special effects to use on our weapons and gear, players can use Samurai / Magic / Ninja skills and abilities. The stance system is 100x more fun than a simple jump button, it’s personally one of the biggest reasons why Nioh has the most addicting and genuinely fleshed out combat I’ve experienced in an RPG. Nioh also provides a NG+ experience that’s significantly better than any NG+ FromSoft has done with their games (better replay value). Nioh 2 has almost everything I mentioned from Nioh 1 and it also adds yokai skills and abilities (we can equip up to 3 abilities) as well as burst counters. Nioh 2 also allows us to create our own character and the cherry on top is one of the best co-op experiences in the genre (nonexistent for Sekiro). The visuals for the PS5 remasters also look nice.
The Nioh series definitely isn’t perfect, it’s major downsides: inventory management, farming can sometimes feel tedious (especially for arts of combat), and the rng can be ridiculous with loot, forging gear, and tempering special effects on gear. Other than those flaws…it honestly surpasses every FromSoft game I’ve touched since OG Demon’s Souls.
@@christopheryanez you are absolutely right
@@christopheryanez wo long boring as hell
@@aidancallaghan personally it’s mid. Nevertheless, Wo Long is 10x more fun than Sekiro…but it’s definitely not as good as Ninja Gaiden or Nioh 2
That level of 🧢 in this clip is over 9000
An apex player who respects Fuze, I respect you. Also, sekiro is better, but you are entitled to your own opinion
@@doontary57 I agree it's better but this clip was trash there were plenty of categories that nioh dominated in.
@@legendaryfuze6738 ok, that's fair. I meant no disrespect btw

Sekiro is a masterpiece ! but Nioh deserves way more recognigtion !! the combat of Nioh 2 is the deepest combat system that i ever seen ! Sekiro for sure has the most satisfaction with the parrys / mikiri counters and shinobi tools but Nioh has so many layers and so many possibilities that is unfair to trash the game like that.
Judging by the scores, this was made by someone who either never played or is total dogshit at Nioh.
For all of the flaws Nioh 1 has, it has the way better combat system. Just the fact that you have multiple weapons and all of them have way more varied movesets than Sekiros one weapon + combined total of gadgets makes it better by default.
Variety doesn’t make a combat system better. World of Warcraft has more variety than nioh, I guess it’s the best combat system of all time huh?
Dogshit argument made by a fanboy
Nioh is a good game , maybe not as good as Sekiro . But still a really good game and Nioh 2 as well
Nioh Is way better than than this L1 simulater lol
@@Halal_Majima23 your dumb XD L1 is blocking. Next time research the game before you clown yourself like Nioh
@@Halal_Majima23 Shut up highway kid🤓
@@Halal_Majima23 In sekiro you dodge, deflect, parry, dodge counter, mikiri counter, deathblow, posture break, buff, stun, heavy blow, special attack, prosthetic attack, switch swords mid-game to do specific things, stagger, absorb lightning mid-air so you can use it to your advantage, and lots more too. That's mostly just without the skill trees as well. What about Nioh? I'd like to know.
@@clurtzy excuse me? Don't try to make something simple look complicated, there is only deflect in sekiro, parry is a different story lol, posture break and death blow and heavy attacks, stun and buffs are all things literally found in all games, you take them for granted, I'm speaking real mechanics that are diversed and actually requires skills, you have no idea how good nioh's combat combared to sekiro really is
In Nioh you have, 11 weapons, each one of them has 3 fighting stances, and each weapon has a giant skill tree that contains 60-70+ passive and active skill for each weapon, and you can equip around 25+ of these skills and use them all in combat and you can actually switch between weapons smoothly mid fight and keep the combo going, while in sekiro you can only use 1 weapon and 1 skill lol, and That "death blow" in nioh is called fatal strike and each weapon has from 2 to 4 or 5 variants of fatal strikes to unalive an out of stamina enemy, there is also a huge ninja and samurai and magic skill tree that can support your weapons with buffs or new attacks , you can choose whatever path you want or just utilize all of their powers and make your own fighting style and techniques, and there is also 3 demon transformations, it's like an ultimate you activate when your rage is maxed, each transformation has different combos and "death blows" aka fatal strikes, and you can upgrade each transformation's branches in a big demon skill tree
Gear is also a big part of the game, at end game content your fighting style is dependent on your gear bulid, bulids in this game are so versatile, you can find 2 players use the same weapon like sword for example, but each one of them use a different fighting style and techniques because their gear is built different
Now when is comes to pure combat mechanics nioh 2 specifically in unmatched, you have 3 fighting stances and 2 weapons equipped and you can mix all of their attacks in one combo, you can do "ki pulse" ( pressing a button in perfect timing to recover some of your stamina upon attacking) and there is also "ki flux"( recover some of your stamina by switching stances or weapons mid fight) and there is also deflect in all weapons with some Exceptions, there is also 2 to 5 different versions of parries to each weapon (counter strike) there Is obviously guard button but it's not as rewarding, there is also a mechanic that allows you to use the attacks of the demons and bosses you have defeated throw out the game, you equip 6 very destructive demon attacks and mix them with your weapon and and magic, ninja attacks, there is also different special mechanics for each weapon, tonfas for example are the only weapon that is able to dodge attacks while recovering stamina with ki pulse, great swords and switchglaives are the only weapons that can switch stances by certain attacks, katana has like 5 different versions of charged attacks that can all be utilized together to make a certain fighting style, Dual Swords has most counters in the game, you can counter your enemies and combo them into oblivion, and the list goes on, and you can endlessly mix weapons with each other, like using staff & great sword, Dual Sword & sword, aka triple swords combo, spear & tonfas, and the list goes on, there is a lot going on in nioh and if I kept writing I will never stop, the game is hard to grasp if you are new to it let alone master it, each weapon requires a lot of practice and a lot of hours to actually be pro at using it.
are you finally convinced that nioh's combat is better? I literally finished sekiro at the same day I bought it, I'm not exaggerating, I really did, 19 hours straight, no food no sleep, the game was way easier than I'm used to, in nioh you can be the boss if know how to play, you literally have 4x bigger arsenal than the average boss, while in sekiro you only have a rusty katana and an L1 weapon to spam Lol
As someone who played Nioh, the only benefit Nioh has is a decent amount of customization and variety in weapons and also what you can wear. More like a traditional Souls game, but it loses in almost every other way.
As someone who played nioh, nioh is better than sekiro in every way shape and form, sekiros gameplay loop is shit
niohs twist in japanese history and mythos id is also cool
@@Nocturne33 Have you played sekiro though? In sekiro you dodge, deflect, parry, dodge counter, mikiri counter, deathblow, posture break, buff, stun, heavy blow, special attack, prosthetic attack, switch swords mid-game to do specific things, stagger, absorb lightning mid-air so you can use it to your advantage, and lots more too. That's mostly just without the skill trees as well. And yet you say sekiro is a gameplay loop?
As far as I'm concerned, Sekiro is and will always have the greatest, smoothest, most satisfying sword fighting in gaming, period.
Sekiro has a lot of dummy bosses for me...the giant snake...the dragon...the 4 monkeys...aside from saint sword isshin nothing is very complicated in Sekiro...I still think Sekiro wins in a couple of these categories but Nioh and Nioh 2 to me has better bosses

Combat - Sekiro

Boss fights - Nioh 2

Animations - Sekiro
4-3
Quests - Nioh 2
4-4
Lore - Nioh 2

Winner - Nioh 2
4-5
Nioh 2 is just a more complete game than Sekiro , even though Sekiro is my favorite game of all time i can't be honest telling that it is better than Nioh 2 . The combat is perfect but no one gives a fuck about the lore , there are no side quests , the lore is too few developped , the story is quite basic , and there are too few main bosses compared to Nioh 2 which has many . Nioh 2 has some extreme customization features , a lot of different weapons art style , better graphics and more
But Sekiro is for me the best souls like i have ever been playing
Both are amazing
Combat and gameplay goes to nioh lol I'd rather play the game and do moves than just parry a boss to death😂
Nioh and Nioh 2 are both great but if should never be compared with a masterpiece such as Sekiro
Difficulty definitely goes to Nioh though. Sekiro is great but, much like Wo Long, when you learn the trick it's game over.
Sekiro and Nioh 2 are both some of the best games I've ever played🍷👌

Do the same comparison with nioh 2 tho. Nioh 2 was a major improvement. I’m sure sekiro still gonna win on some topics but nioh 2 def outshines the first one

isnt Nioh a souls like RPG game? at least the 2nd one that im playing is. why u compare it to Sekiro ? they are different genre in every aspect . i believe a better comparison would be ghost of tsuhima and sekiro
Nioh is not a souls like game. A souls like game is about players reacting to enemies' moves in the aspect of gameplay. Nioh, especially Nioh2 you're playing, encourages players to suppress enemies by
constant combo attacks.
Love them both tho but yeah sekiro is the fucking GOAT literally can't compare it to anything it's my favorite game ever made but damn team ninja drops bangers imo every time I was a massive NG fan when I was a kid
