My slider just laid her first egg in the tank and my male ate it. Aside from getting the eggs out what is the proper step for me to take to care for the eggs for hatching?? And what would you recommend for her laying? Should I have a spot in the basking area for her to lay?

Woke up yesterday and my yellow belly had laid 15 eggs that I could count. Unfortunately she laid them along her basking area where it drops to the water and all but two eggs were underwater and the other turtles were eating them. I've had been taking her out the last few weeks and putting her in a 20 long aquarium with sand and dirt 3-4 hours at a time hoping she would lay there instead. I did have a question I have not been able to get information about there were four tiny eggs between marble and peanut m&m size all the rest were rather large, any idea why?
I have a turtle with retained scutes for over a year she is still growing fine but I have been trying hikari koi wheat germ vitamin e oil and getting her outside as much as possible ( it’s hard because I live in Michigan so it’s usually cold) she also basks 4-6 hours a day do you have any suggestions?

What do you mean not growing ? I have 2 red eared sliders , so maybe I can help ! How old is the turtle? Always make sure they have a Dry area to Bask with A Heated light/bulb! I would say to maybe try to gradually change her diet... I still have questions about my Girl and if she is pregnant or not ! I have a male in same tank ! They are about 4 years old ! I bought a basking loft and they don't want to seem to climb up onto it 😢 so I'm not sure if or once she does lay eggs it will possibly be in the water and I don't think that's a good thing, or it becomes infertile ?

can you give me a source to get a diamond back terripen because I really want one that can house with my pink belly side neck, which is a month old and I have him in a 20 gallon long but I do plan on upgrading fairly soon to a 55 gallon
55 gallons wont be enough, consider switching to a stock tub if you want something cheap. As for a source, honestly go visit a local store. Search up where to buy diamond back terrapins near me. Prepare to pay around 50-300 pounds. If thats too expensive, reeves turtles are a great choice
