The part where you explain how the download "links" work was the most helpful advice I've gotten in fs22. I'm not exactly literate when it comes to PCs so I was a little worried about those sites.
Thank you for this video and for walking through the download process for this map. I know it may scare many people away and miss out on this insane map. I started playing on it last night and may have forgotten to go to bed till almost 4:00 AM 😂😂😂

The translation from French must have made a mistake, or there really is no distinction between the two types of chestnuts in English. For better understanding: Chestnuts and sweet chestnuts are by no means the same thing. Rather, they are two different species of sweet chestnut. Ultimately, the chestnut is a further cultivated form of the sweet chestnut. The sweet and intense aroma, for example, is expressed much more in chestnuts than in sweet chestnuts. In addition, the latter have a rounder shape and are smaller than the chestnuts.
In German, for example, the two varieties are called "Kastanie" (chestnut) and "Marone" (sweet chestnut).
Adapted or adopted from the French-speaking world where these varieties are grown and eaten: "Châtaigne" (Kastanie) and "Marron" (Marone)

It seems you have to tab into it vs walk up to it and enter it. I accidently tabbed into it post recording.
you cannot steer the river barge, only drive it forward or backward
ya, it is coded the same as a drivable train so it runs forward/backward on a predefined spline.

Great Video! This is my favorite map to play thus far on farm sim. To use the barge you rent it and when it docks you then tab as though you are tabbing through your vehicles.

45:05 The map did just release 7/7/23, but MA7 is a really excellent modder that I'm guessing is more popular in the French/European community but their mods and this map I think are hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

I did watch it in a review of Daggerwin and he made a video for the mapmaker. I have seen many maps but this one is far out the best of all the maps in farming simulator history. But you don't have to agree with me. I am not a from USA but kno many from USA only look for USA maps. I am Dutch and from a farmer Family and did study agriculture in Wageningen university. Have bin in most European, Asian, South American and African counties. Have bin in America but not in the USA but in Canada. Hope to visit the USA some day. But i am happy to see you did give this map some attention. A very well made review.👍

I've grown to love the Euro maps. At first, when I started on FS19 in 2021, I was all about the American maps, go big or go home in regards to equipment. But I really love a great Euro map. This one would win awards, SHOULD win awards. I love it!
@@TheBiggRiggz Well the fact that you call your country America is far from logic. your country is the USA and that is not the same as America, but i understand because that is what the learn you. Is a Mexican also a American? If Germany calls the country Europe do you think that is normal?
Ill cover any map that meets my basic requirements/standards. 1) must be publicly available to PC players, If on facebook must allow download with out requiring a FB account for example. 2) must be error free in the log when loading the map with no mods or only required mods, 3) must know with some level of confidence that the download location I am providing is a location the map author uploaded the map to personally or authorized the publication of and it must be more than a random link to a file download site. For this map a viewer sent me the link to the site via discord to check out.
@gino_58_nl24 Canadians call themselves Canadians, Germans call themselves Germans, Mexicans call themselves Mexicans etc. To me, calling someone European means someone from any country within the European continent. Everyone calls someone from the USA "Americans", even if they're from Canada and they don't know they're from Canada. What else would you use to define someone from USA? United States-ean? United States-ite? USA-ean? Way to complicated. Usually for me I'll learn someone's name and just call them that instead of whatever country they're from. Cuz in the grand scheme of things we're all from the same place: Earth.
@FarmerKlein so I was asking in a few different comment threads where the eggs spawned at. I figured it out, it's the bench behind the pickup in the garage. But you gotta move the pickup out or they won't have room to spawn. So far that's the only issue I've found with it. I'm LOVING this map, I'm not even that excited about Court Farms now lol
53:01 There is some Platinum DLC stuff (trees and rivers) on this map, and while it will let you play the map without it, some things go wonky (especially with the trees) if you play it without the Platinum DLC. I assume there will be an update to the map to require it to be enabled.
21:06 That one stumped me for a bit, but found the production is hidden until you buy the land by farmland 157 over by the winery. That comes with the production for making those products. I found it by accident by buying all the land and the productions on my test playthrough.

I had to disable all my security software to download this map. Also I was following this map for a few weeks. It just released yesterday.
So I've been plating this map since its release. I came to this video to see where the dadgum eggs spawn at. I keep getting the message saying there's no more room for eggs, but I CAN NOT FIND THEM! It's driving me mad!

the nut cream and flour and oil's are made in the production point domain of vielcroze wgich is the buildings next t one of the nut plantation.s
You missed the barge that allows transport of goods down the river like a train does on land.

Didnt miss the barge I just missed that the only way to get into it is to tab into it no way to walk up to it and enter it. Rent 'barge' is at the dock by the river.

It's a 4x map, which combined with the file size, and all the custom content, will make it sadly unavailable for consoles. It's unfortunate.

@@sherrydowns4052 It's a limitation of consoles. I'm not sure exactly why (if it's a hardware capability or what), but Giants has not released a 4x map yet to consoles.
Its a standard size map. Go to the extreme south east and the map quradinantes should be 2048x2048 or less which indicates a standard map if it was 4x it would read close to 4096x4096.
@@FarmerKlein You are right I had to go look. The promo video from MA7 said it was a 4KM and I totally missed that little 2 after the 4KM 😂

Don't call things you don't necessarily understand "trash". If you don't want to pay for mods, those types of websites are the way modders monetize their creations. Websites have to generate money somehow, in order to pay for the files hosted there, that's why all of those pop-ups and deceptive download links. Is the website scary, uncomfortable, deceptive, misleading even - yes. But those are the ways websites makes money. One needs to be careful when entering those types of websites. Thnx to @Farmer Klein for explaining the download process then:)
@@binks123 yeah, and nearly all use ads except that one, using scam pop ups that most people will unknowingly install malware from.
You don't have to scam people to monetize your mods.
