Unlike any ordinary cat Bob is well behave in front of strangers. Looks as if he was listening to their talking. That is amazing. He doesn't look like a cat, he looks like a cute little boy....

it seems like most non-pure bred, street savvy, kitties have great 'personalities'. I used to say "hi" to a stray, and she took it as an open invite to come into the house anytime she had a chance (house w 2 dogs & a cat). I forced my bf to take her, so she moved in w 5 young guys & loved the attention.

Her name is Callie and she is the polar opposite of Fresca, lol, A female tabby with extra black feet that is itty bitty and a nervous wreck in comparison to the confident giant male manx that had white feet. I got her about a year and a half before he passed. When they first were introduced, it was love at first sight for Callie he while Fresca was interested then bored lol. She wormed her way into his heart though. She is a special needs kitty, with anxiety and fear issues but she absolutely thrives with me. We both miss fresca but I have to wait until I have my own place (after college, which I am taking her to because, ironically, she is my emotional support animal for anxiety) until I can get her a new friend. She chills with my best friend's cat though... lol sorry for the long-winded response. I could talk about my fur babies for eternity.

The moms were never happy with his presence but weren't really afraid of him because they were familiar. Eventually, my roomie "had" to take the kitties in for different reasons and we have >2 dozen cats with a huge variety of personalities from timid to brazen and funny. However, even the most timid, scaredy cats have no fear of my pup because he was usually the first thing they saw when their tiny eyes opened. Some of the more nervous kitties really come out of their shell with catnip. As a cat lover, you probably already have tried that with your baby, but I deem it worth a mention. BTW, all the female strays have been spayed for ~a year, so no more kittens in need of a home😽

They loved the story, that was told by Bob himself. So I decided to buy the Book and I became a big fan about James & Bob. Well its not only Bob, who makes the heart of every cat-lover melt. Its also James an his story, I also like. I fight depressions for my entire life and I was rescued during the corona time by a little cat. So I can a little sympathize with James, who was rescued by Bob. Imagine - we all would never had known about that, if Bob didnt decided to follow his friend.... You may dont believe it, and i may can never proof it but as buddists believe human souls getting reborn into animals. there must be a lovely soul in this cat, who really cares about the human beeing james.
My mom once told me that recovering drug addicts in my home town could sign up to get a dog. Because the thing is, the dog will love them unconditionally, and so the person will love the dog back. And those people who are living on the street and have no real friends need LOVE. So once they had a reason to stay clean and someone them loved and wanted to take care off, they would do so much better. Higher chance of recovering and getting their life together again. And the dogs were loved deeply and taken good care of. You can tell who's recovering well by the fact that they had a good relationship with their dog. So ever since that time I smile when I see one :)
They're never just a pet they're family. I lost my cat last year after nearly 15 years and I had such a bond with him and I was heartbroken. Poor Bob and poor James he must have felt like someone had ripped his heart out
Used to have a cat like Bob. A handsome ginger cat. We named him Push. Lived with us for so many years. My littlest brother love him so much, slept with him, fed him. Push is as calm as Bob. Had manners. He like a Royal I guess. Coolest boy on the block. Unlike other grumpy and clumsy cat, he was so well behaved and never biting. But he died. Missing you Push.
One cat. Chose his human to save, now it is international story and we have one cat inspiring and saving countless people all over the world. Truly a special creature.

Loved!, loved!, Loved!, this movie! The actors were great, Bob was great. I was just enchanted by it. It amazes me, too, that Bob was played by Bob (along with a few others). But it makes sense. Cats that are used to being in a public environment are hard to find. I've seen cats like that in out-of-the-way shops and even a country restaurant once. Cats are so adaptable. But they need early exposure. It makes sense that Bob was the only one who could handle the crowds, out on the street. I wish all the best to Bob and James and just hope they enjoy their success.

I had a black cat who I named China-Girl who came to me as a kitten from out of nowhere. We would communicate psychically, as I would just think her name and she could somehow hear me. She would sit at the living room window staring at Venus for 20 minutes every night before coming to bed with me. The vet told me that she was meditating or maybe even praying. She lived to be 20.

throughout the whole show as the people were talking and laughing, Bob was incredibly calm, swinging his tail etc. I had a dog that behaved that way..... there'd be many visitors to the house, kids playing in a corner and adults chatting away.... and our dog would just sit and lay in another corner and watch everything happen. .... incredible....

Some sad news... Le pauvre petit Bob s'est fait percuté par un chauffard juste après le tournage du dernier film en 2020, loin de sa maison (trop bizarre). Il est mort tout seul sur le bord de la route en pleine nuit. 🥺 Depuis ce drame James Bowen est inconsolable... Le conducteur n'a pas été retrouvé :/ J'ai appris ça il y a quelques jours, je suis triste pour ce gars très gentil qui s'occupe d'associations maintenant pour les animaux et les SDF.

RIP BOB😥
I had a black cat who I named China-Girl who came to me as a kitten from out of nowhere. We would communicate psychically, as I would just think her name and she could somehow hear me. She would sit at the living room window staring at Venus for 20 minutes every night before coming to bed with me. The vet told me that she was meditating or maybe even praying. She lived to be 20.
Wonderful story, but do you know where the kitten came from really ? 20 is a very very good age
digitalmediafan - Found her in my back yard but there was no mother to be found. She used to sit on my shoulder when I took a walk, and made a funny Snoopy sound when running from the litter box.
Bobby Slater my cat died at 24, and I was barely functioning after she passed. I volunteered at a primate sanctuary, to help distract me.

I just discovered this movie tonight and watched it..truly wonderful and inspiring and Bob is just too adorable. I had to find more info to follow up after seeing the movie..i will be reading the book.

Sorry for your loss, James. Losing a pet is just as powerful as having a loved one pass away. If it brings any comfort, Bob was just as famous as Morris the Cat from the Nine Lives Cat Commercial. They were both orange Tabbies.🙏☹️😻♥️🐱💙😿💛😺💜😿

RIP Bob. Hope James can move on (in time) and help in cat rescue efforts on his continent or elsewhere. There are too many suffering on the streets.
Maybe James will one day get a cat again..but not soon...

I saw many of Bob interviews in like this talkshow and Bob always check the background and keep staring at it for a while.
throughout the whole show as the people were talking and laughing, Bob was incredibly calm, swinging his tail etc. I had a dog that behaved that way..... there'd be many visitors to the house, kids playing in a corner and adults chatting away.... and our dog would just sit and lay in another corner and watch everything happen. .... incredible....
Met Bob on more than one occasion and James bless his heart let me stroke him. Hope doing ok pal after bobs passing. Bob and James are just complete and utter legends tbh.
The movie was so good. I loved it! I cried. It is a breathtaking story! :)

I just heard about Bob yesterday and watched the movie today and oh man it was so touching and Bob was a wonderful little actor. He rescued you James just when you needed him. Thank you for for giving him a chance and a home. R.I.P Bob. He was very loved.
