Thanks as always DWD! Appreciate all your hard work!
As I appreciate you for stopping by!!!
Recently found your channel. It's been a big support to establishing a process as I am a rookie at 3D printing. I recently purchased the K1 Max and I found it easy enough to use. So thank you very much for your knowledge. Much appreciated. Please, keep up the good work.
Much appreciated! Thanks for swinging by!
Thank you! Another great video
Ayyyy! Better late than never lol life is hectic now but I appreciate each & everyone one of you for swinging by!
It’s a good idea to 3d print a hanger for your lid that you can hang it to the side of the printer, that way it doesn’t get lost or accidentally broken
Yea I did see that, I printed a little tray that mounts on the back to hold the accessories, since I don’t use the lid I just put it away so it doesn’t shatter lol
Heading to the city tomorrow to pick up my Max - thanks for your video, helped me decide to finally pull the trigger. Had debated waiting for the K2 Max then heard it was even bigger and the Max is the maximum size for the space in my shop - it would be hard to fit a machine even just a few inches larger.
Yea the k2 max I would have gotten had it was out, you’ll love it!
I bought my K1 Max a few Months ago.. Have done many prints using the default Creality firmware and slicer.. No issues and my test prints came out great. My test cube looked better than the one shown in this video. I guess it really is hit or miss. Possibly also where you put it. I have mine on a really heavy and solid table too. ive done large prints that have taken up most of the bed to small intricately detailed prints. All came out great. It used to be that i would NEVER allow my printer to run over night or when i was out of the house as my old CR-10, i just never knew what i would come home to. But with the K1 Max, if there is any trouble or runs out of filament, it stops and waits for you to correct. Only issue i really ever gad was when my filament was really stuck to the roll and wouldn’t detach. The feeder basically wore down the filament to where it wasn’t gripping anymore and just kept runningSo the Run-Out detector was never able to trip. But i was able to figure out which step was the last laid down, go back to the slicer and told it to start on the line it left off at and made it a new print and later laminated the two parts together. FYI, get one of those 3D Print pens. I use mine like a Welder and i “Weld” parts together rather than using glue and its rock solid. Since printing some complicated parts can yield results that are maybe not so good, especially if you are printing something with text at an angle, i’ve now learned to cut up the models (again, using Creality slicer) to parts of my model i need to print nice and accurate and better done if flat on the bed, i know i can Weld those pieces together with that 3D Print pen, using the same filament. This has been a great experience and a total DREAM compared to all the tinkering and fighting every print i used to have with on my old CR-10.
The type of table and type of filament use d is a big factor. Especially since I used silk filament & not HS pla plays a if factor.
How do you go back into the slicer and have it continue at a certain layer? I’ve had some issues half way into a print and tossed the print because I didn’t know this was possible. Any tips you have for this machine would be greatly appreciated. I’m working on trying to print silk, had 50/50 results.
I believe I read somewhere that the creality MMU will not be supported by previous creality products.
There’s rumors the new ams will work with the k1 max AFTER it’s launched with the k2. Only time will tell…
My X1C is currently out of commission because of a clog after probably about a dozen prints. Maybe the lid being on was the issue. Been loving it overall though. Going from an Ender 3 to an X1C (or a K1 Max) is such a huge leap. Can't wait to see how printing is in another 5+ years.
Definitely could be, but yes these new klipper prints are just a peak at what’s to come! Out of curiosity we’re you running a high retraction on the x1c?
Hey, is there a setting to stop it faffing about for 2-3 mins before it starts printing? I print without calibration, that of course takes even longer, but even still it's a few mins before it lays down that first line. Or is it a necessary process? Thanks.
The printer still has an initializing period, so even if you don’t calibrate there’s still a delay.
I had mind now for almost a month. I am having a hard time making a helmet .... the speed.. been killing with the shifting. Hope i can see that video.
What slicer are you using?
did you have any issues with VFA and if so what did you change to get rid of it i have had a k1 max for a few months and havnt sorted out how to get rid of it fully i have the 3rd release of the unit
No issues here with vfa but if you are try removing the springs that push the bearing against the top x rod, I seen it was an issue & that’s what seemed to work particularly on the 1st wave unite which we’re notoriously have vfa issues.
I am waiting for the K2 combo multi colour printer i have a bambu lab P1s Pro combo and a K1 also there going to a brand new creailty print based on bambu studio coming soon
Big things definitely on the horizon!
New print based on bambu? I’ve got a k1 max and looking at the x1c. What is your views on the two different printers you own?
I just ordered my k1 max . Did you have to do anything to make it go to klipper?
No klipper is built in
That's what I said lol orca slicer yay mine runs fine now
I’d rather chew glass than deal with creality slicer lol
@@Darkwingdad lmao yh dame straight the slicing time was mental plus I love how if you have a bigger prop you can arrange the slice multiple build plates.
I dunno if I'd recommend to buy one with the K2 on the horizon in a couple months...
Good thing is when a new printer comes out these drop in price! It’s still an awesome large build plate, fast printer.
@@Darkwingdad i agree! I love mine. Just saying it may not be time to pull the trigger unless it's burning that pocket real hard 😂
@@ThisisDD sometimes the best purchases are impulse driven lol ….. or the worst haha 😆
What up
What’s up what’s good??!?!
@@Darkwingdad nothing much trying to finish my wolverine and black panther cosplay
@@jahdorose8659 nice bro! I still gotta do a BP with the illumination in it!
@@Darkwingdad oh ok cool I mostly have my cosplay on my Facebook Pages and ig and Tik Tok now have few on CZcams here too
If you dont like tinkering as in taking stuff apart stay away from the K1Max and stay with Bambu s AWS P1 Or Carbon system this i know from experiance. If i have my choice which i do im going back to my Bambu.
Now that the top issue is resolved I’ve had nothing but great things with the max & orca slicer
Thanks for this comment. I’ve got the k1 max and wish I would’ve waited and got a x1c instead. I like my printer but still want the abilities x1c offers.
