- Hey guys. Today I’ll be showing u a great farming method for getting exotics. Why should u get exotics now? Because there is up to 339 gear and a certain leaked exotic sidearm that I will be covering in a later video dropping right now so to get a head start before ROI follow what I do in this vid. You can go to the ultra knight during the regicide mission, saves a bit of time

You should always fully upgrade an exotic even if you don't want it because when you dismantle it it will drop 2 exotic shards instead of 1.
haven't tried it but I heard 6 motes of light on an exotic weapon is enough to make it drop 2 shards
2 sharts for me when i get a useless exotic.

dats weird cuz i tried it many time i only use 3 out of 79 threes and i got only 3 exotics

Hi man, tried this method and it works somewhat. Still wish that the %increase was higher. Used 11 SCs and got 2 exotics, which was nice.

I actually used Three of Coins on the black garden and first try got an exotic! I was hoping it was an exotic weapon engram because I really badly wanted The Last Word after finding out it's really hard to get Thorn, but instead I got this exotic helmet that gives me evade for free, which is always a 3rd best in my inventory! (The helmet is the same as the dude in the video's helmet)
kill the ultra boss and then play a crucible clash game and by then go kill the ultra again . I found it a good way to kill time

Or you could play strikes so you get a chance at purple engrams which is way better. This is something i wouldnt do i barely get that many 3oc each week with 3 chars. This seems to be a lazy way. Only would use this method if i didnt have much time to grind strikes or a new exotic

Nice spots for farming and that, I've been farming the 3 ultra's at the end of the black garden mission and got quiet a few exotics 2 in 1 runs sometimes :)

If I was bungie, I would make it so when somebody completed a higher power level story mission it would give you a legendary engram
The last Mission for rise of iron is also a very good spot. At the end there are 3 ultras that spawn. Very ez loot farm

I'm pretty sure that the 15 minute cool down is for the three of coins and it doesn't matter which boss you kill.
course im a few years late, but i didnt know Trespasser was such a big deal! i got it at lvl 35 from Xur as my first exotic lol

You know the Three Of Coins is a stackable effect right? Nevermind, he addresses it in the mission I got my only primary exotic from, The Black Garden.
the cool down for 3oc is on your charecter not the bosses : ) going to orbit switching ultras does nothing. u can switch charecters between exotics and that does work tho. anyway cool vid see u in roi!

What's funny is I've been trying to get some good exotics for a while and just playing through I had 3 drop ever. 2 of them were trespassers lol

A quick farming method that takes 20 minutes..
Lord Dracoliche yeah any other method could take up to two hours to get one as they are inconsistent
Thanks I'll give these a go. Been doing a lot of strikes on streak with 3 of coins to try and get legendaries as well. 2 things; Is there a loot penalty if you die(like less quality or quality? And why would I get reported if someone saw me exploiting one of these exploits?
Btw those exotic engrams ended up dropping high light in rise of iron. I didn't listen to what people said about that and I ended up getting a 339 nemesis star when the dlc dropped

just a side note..i do believe that "15 minuet timer" for 3 of coins is a myth...i got 2 exotic drops on the last mission in the rise of iron story. "the iron tomb" where you have to kill 3 bosses..got one on the first, and one on the last one and it didnt take me 15 minuets to kill all three.
Theres only a 15 min cooldown if you get an exotic, so you can kill the same boss over and over, works for me

Exotics are fun but I have the two I like and want, what I need are legendary engrams armor that will be 320 light or higher, any suggestions outside of raids because I can barely get one person to join me on missions nevermind 5

The final mission of Rise of Iron is much easier and faster and you can kill two ultras not just one.

I got the last word from a blue primary and then got the hawk moon from a blue heavy
So apparently, the three of coins boosts your chances of getting an exotic, but if you patrol the cosmodrome you can find a hive knight worshipping something. Kill him and try to steal treasure, and 3 hive ultra acolytes will spawn.

When you rank up cryptarch, do the packages you get at higher levels drop better stuff than lower levels? Do they drop exotic engrams? If so, at what rank do they drop?
SB5 713 to my knowledge no u can't get exotics from cryptarch packages also I think it's a completely random drop as u can get legendarise from him at a low level but can get only blues at a much higher level
5:30 Do you have to use three of coins to get the exotic from the Ultra Knight or can you still get an exotic from the knight without using three of coins because I didn't use any and I only got a legendary engram, and the "Silent Scream" emblem
You have to use a three of coins to have a chance at an exotic. Legendaries are random(although they do have a higher chance of dropping from ultras and majors.) Hope this helps!

Yeah I agree that was one I considered putting in but I think just rinsing and repeating this also works cause it's quicker without that mission

theres 2 cooldowns, one for using 3oC within 15mins if each others and one for using it on the same boss
I actually just got 2 exotics within 5 mins of each other, first was a the black garden, then i went directly to draksis and got one. so theirs only a cooldown for the same boss i believe.

I just got hawkmoon from a primary exotic, but it didn't show up in my inventory. I'm like wth. I got so mad and spammed my 3 of coins on the bond brothers and then I got the 1st brothers gauntlets and the my hawkmoon back lol.
