Is this better than the Artisan pad?
@@edferd100 Many people I've sent it to have switched from Artisan pads to this pad. You can check a few of the videos on the website to learn more from some of them. In particular I'd watch Bunsen's video.
We picked a material that has a speed somewhere between the Artisan Hien and Zero
@@PattycakesGaming That's what I needed to know. Thanks!
2500+ hours in and i still find myself melee‘ing a cursed thrall sometimes
As a Titan main, it's just a conscious choice. And if you didn't survive, you didn't Titan hard enough
LOL me too, sometimes you just have to show them who’s boss
That’s the only way to do it
Sometimes? I do it all the time. Tis the titan way.
@@averyharley2197 true lmao
Honestly, the only one I disagree with is at 8:52. People try to do bounties, and that requires killing, so don't assume someone's a noob for killing ads. Sometimes the people who speedrun the strikes are the bigger noobs.
Also, some people just like to play the game. Just because you can skip an entire strike and finish in 3 minutes doesn't mean everyone wants to
@@iamk7567 EXACTLY. Some of us actually enjoy the mechanics and the activity!! Not everyone is just addicted to loot.
@@fysean if you enjoy a strike something’s wrong with you
@@evanendres8415 It's a mindless activity, I don't see a problem with enjoying turning your brain off and relaxing
Plus sometimes it's absolutely worth killing the ads, some cases they're the main threats in the strikes instead of the boss due their sheer numbers
"Not skipping trash mobs" me with 6,000 hrs in Destiny 2 who still kills all the trash mobs
sunbracers go brrr
ikr. some of us actually want to, y'know, play the game - haha. Or have bounties to do.
But kill trackers..
Especially true in GM content, unless you're coordinating Omnis with 3 Hunters, for some reason.
Skipping mobs can easily bite you, especially if you leave your teammates behind and they have to deal with mobs and then rez your impatient ass.
but stacks :(
lol he went FLYING at 10:19
No replies lol
The first rule of Grasp of Avarice traps is to not talk about Grasp of Avarice traps. The first trap is the funniest.
Just remember the old game of the floor is lava
I have trolled many a fellow guardian
A buddy and I started playing a few weeks ago, the cry laughter from those fucking spikes will never be forgotten 😂😂😂
Another big mistakes noobs make : they don't skip Rick Kackis's intro
I love Rick Kackis' intro.
I’m so glad you mentioned pass the balls in that strike I have so many people no know that you can do that on just kill them with one ball or break all three shields and also can beat the final boss without even encountering her
The buildcrafting stuff is so overlooked. Whenever I put together a really broken build (often with CZcams tips) and run around nuking the world, I go to a public event to try it out and just dominate the entire thing and then watch everyone else use double primaries and stand still and plink away at the boss. If we were all running these crazed builds, the game’s frame rate would be toast, but it still surprises me to almost always be the only one running these builds when in a matchmaking activity.
i mean, things aren't always what it appears to be, guy might be just doing bounties and needing the kills from both primary he was wearing
@@wallpaint486 you missed my point (twice) but don’t worry bro, I’m sure that happens to you all the time. Yes, you can finish a public event with just unpowered melee, everyone knows this. Public events have that little banner, eh? So I can TEST my build with full abilities and super, and good enemy density, and adjust it right there. My point is, even though Bungie is leaning super hard into build crafting and so are you tubers, a ton of people playing the game could not give a crap and just pick armor that looks good, guns that sound nice and run around, meanwhile I have 100% invisibility, constant overshield, make everything void explode and never die. Let’s hope that Bungie’s effort to make it easier and better to do will help more than 10% of players to actually try some of these builds out.
"really broken build"
"go to a public event to test it out"
My guy they get nuked by everything, try builds in dungeons or solo master/gm Nightfalls, you get "that little banner" in dungeons too
@@bathwagnerdumblestephens8951 welcome to the missed the point club, thanks for playing
8 years playing and still slaughter every enemy in a strike. I like seeing 200+ kills on the chart
Maybe I'm still a noob, but that 150+ kill count in strikes is why I kill EVERYTHING I see instead of skipping through parts, plus some strikes have fun tanks to drive around :D
I can't wait for lightfall, with the lfg changes and champion changes it will be much easier to learn
yep, the game is already confusing enough for me
I'd temper those expectations......
Lfg changes aren't coming until at least a few seasons away
@@TirnanHealy yeah I was very sad when I found that out
@@TirnanHealy What kind of changes exactly?
I like killing everything in strikes, but also going fast, granted I'm not a new player, but still. "Not skipping" is just my personal idea of just not being lazy. Unless I absolutely want a genuine speed run, I can go fast and kill everything. It's just more satisfying. I like having low average strike/mission clears with high enemy kill count.
I've just got back into Destiny 2. Stopped playing it as it reminded me too much of my ex and most games were hard to play. Now I feel able to play it again there's so much I have missed but I am enjoying it even more than I ever did. And this video was super helpful so thank you :)
The level 1 Titan in the Cosmodrome just full auto melee'ing is very Titan, it's the basics of Titan-ing
LOL I followed him around for seriously 20 min, it was so fun to watch. I might make a short out of the best parts
@@PattycakesGaming definitely make a "Destiny Geographic" watching the New Light blueberries in their natural habitats skit for the different classes, 100% would be a banger
punching things that explode is a proud titan tradition and I refuse to let it be maligned like this
I think you should have mentioned that you can safely finish an exploding unit without fear of it exploding. However, if your team mate shoots the cursed thrall or whatever while you are finishing it...the unit will still explode.
Noobs don’t bank their motes so their team can’t invade at 40 motes which costs their team to lose 99% of the time since the other team invades first.
In regards to the first tip about tutorials, I'm pretty new and I personally have a lot of fun trying to figure out mechanics and puzzles on my own; I enjoy the challenge.
Here's a fun lil tip: Glaive shields negates boss/champion knockback. Unfortunately the same can't be said about swords shielding.
Ugh 😫 the worst is when you pass the ball to a noob and they proceed to just completely whiff it because they don't know what is going on.
The one thing I miss from when I was a noob is to have lots of open slots in the Vault. After so many seasons, the meager 600 slots are completely inadequate. It is not like all new gear is so much better than older ones... Confessions: 1) It took me a while to learn about the importance of MODs. 2) I am still not good on jumping puzzles. Hate them! 🤦♂
I loathe jumping puzzles
On the not using abilities thing. If you're still having an issue look up a grenade spam build or play titan with heart of inmost light. Those will teach you to not be shy with abilities.
I like double primary because in nightfalls blue berry often don't run champion mods and they don't have the dps to take a on a champion
Then in pvp I just like things being consistent
Im really new to Destiny 2. I've only been playing about 2 months. I wrecked the season stuff and am currently at lvl 130. I prefer auto rifle, trace rifles and The Other Half. Not knowing what to expect when I first started playing, within the first hour of playing, I was hooked. I play everyday, sometimes for hours, just going around killing enemies for the hell of it. I don't mind throwing a melee every now and then. It adds to the satisfaction of the kill.
Tip: Most ults Ive seen KEEP your momentum when you press them. Ive died quite a few times as a new blade barrager, I jump sideways into doorway and line of sight of boss, press ult, and CONTINUE going sideways then throw all my knives point blank into the doorframe and suicide from explosion...
Double primary is fine. Sometimes you need reliable shieldbreaker elements without worrying about ammo.
With how strong stasis is, and how great the ammit is with incandescent or shieldbreaker, I regularly run double primary.
Wilhelm scream!!!
Ps don't forget about D2 armor picker website for creating the best possible builds with your owned armor
I've been spoiled with high FOV for too long lol, I can't stand playing with a low FOV now
“Not skipping trash mobs” I’ve been playing since basically d1 launch and I still do this just cuz usually I’m also tryna get all my bounties done. Also when I run with my friend we usually try to get platinum champion rewards on the nightfall so we’re just killing everything in sight.

Some players are ignorant to the heroic mechanics of some public events, but *refuse* to look it up or ask anyone because... I dont know why.
Maybe they committed the first mistake in this vid and assumed that the game will explain itself and are stubbornly waiting for it to do so.
Maybe they have become jaded with the grind and try to get through events as fast as possible, whether they understand the mechanics or not.
For those of us who have this knowledge, it is the duty of the Haves to reach out to the Have-nots, and guide them along the correct path. Be wary though, it is easy to sting another's pride. Be gentle, be friendly, be unassuming.
I feel like two big mistakes are not reading what your perks do/how to activate them and not reloading after and before a gunfight. If you have three shots left in an SMG after a gunfight and not reloading for kill clip, and you're about to fight someone, you probably won't get much done with those three shots alone. It's usually better to reload in those situations, especially because you can get a free damage bonus in that situation with kill clip. Obviously there are a few exceptions.
I actually got my first Guided Games completion at the launch of Vault of Glass. It was pretty cool
@12:07 I did not know the one about how infusing identical items not costing an upgrade module. Thanks.
"Not passing the ball..." made my day. 🤣
Now playing Destiny (1 and 2) since 2014 and still wondering, how few people know this mechanic in "the corrupted"-strike. Besides; nice video and a lot of very useful tips to "new lights".
I learnt to double primary to starve the apes or snipers, but so useful as a way to solo content against champions(bows are good), thx for the vid👍
The two pointers I'd personally add would be to keep an eye out for Xur and to grab as many mods as you can afford because they don't always come back around.
“Grab all the mods you can afford because they don’t always come back around”
Uhhhhhhhhh
If you didn't know, all mods have been unlocked for everybody as of last week
All mods were unlocked last week? 😍 I haven't had any personal time to play season of the light 😢 So this is news to me, thank you. I'd still keep an eye out for Xur at least.
At least 50% of my exotics came from Xur my first 2 years playing, especially for my secondary characters (I think I got 90% of my Warlock exotics this way because I never play that class)
I feel the FoV one should be personal choice
6:15
As an Arc Titan, this happened to me the first time i did Grasp of Avarice for Gjallarhorn… Lmao
I think watching a full guide on something before you play it is not a good idea for fun, at least for dungeons which are easily taught and understood
When you kill a cursed Thrall with a finisher they explode after hitting something else, so you can use them as Grenades
4:03 They're already learning how to be a titan
8:43 Why would you purposely leave survivors?
Base full of corpses is much worse than any terrified soldier's story.
as a fresh out the grave Guardian, thanks for the all the helpful vids. One day I'll remember not to punch the glowing hive zombie thing. Not this day, but maybe someday :)
What really gets me is when a friend of mine is trying to ask me if a particular roll is good and she says, is high impact frame, subsistence, rapid hit, oolong dynamics good? Calling out the origin trait and the frame is hilarious to me
Fun fact: if you meele a cursed thrall or explosive shank after meele'ing one you can jump quickly to avoid death 🗿
Not on warlock
"especially those who run shoulder charge.." I'm 💀
What about the most important thing? Have fun. As stupid as it sounds but I see so many people chasing after loot and the perfect build. Learning a game is so much fun. And the advice to look up guides for raids and dungeons I found really sad. Learning them is so much fun. Maybe I miss out on some loot because of that but fuck that, I wanna have fun
The only thing about the max modes on gambit when you only need 5.. it’s nice to send that one last large blocker 😆😆
I'm guilty of double primaries and no ability using for the first 2 months I played. I didn't understand special ammo drop rates and finders so I believed in double primary until I started doing more difficult stuff. As for abilities. Well, the oldest clip I have on record was me doing one of the Forsaken missions without using abilities. No supers, rifts, grenades, melees, heavy, special. Hell I had Riskrunner as my 2nd primary but still used a blue pulse rifle for 80% of the mission and I killed every single ad.
8:52 ok I wouldn’t say that’s something noobs do sometimes people just want to enjoy the strike and kill enemies or they have a triumph or challenge or something.
90% of the time when I run a strike it is to work on a red frame or level something up or bounties, so I am often using double primary and trying to get every single kill, ironically I only speedrun when I am just trying to get the pinnacle done
Sometimes you also need to figure things out on your own, how things work, etc. Great video.
Omg I'm in a patty cakes vid! (as one of the people making the same joke, sorry about that 😅)
I got a friend 3 times in a row with the gos portal, once his first time, then once saying it's activated on a div run, then a third time saying it works if u have div equipped.
What about your teammates in Crucible crouching in the center room looking down 1 hallway without moving while the enemies come from a different entrance?
Frankly, I think 3:00 isn't just a new player thing, I've been playing since red war on destiny 2 and played destiny 1 and never knew you could do that o_0
I swear Patty's chan is always one of the few handful of a must know and see to get by Destiny and feel it's fun (:D)...TNX for the vid!!! (it's a nice quick refresher too)
As a day one D1 player I feel like using the tower to manage my inventory has just become a real habit lol
Gasp how dare you reveal the noob traps in dungeons and raids. That's how we Veterans get our entertainment.
After who knows how many hours in for sure over 1500, maybe even 2000, I still hate people speedruning through activities and despawning ads... -,-
The orbs in the corrupted strike drive veterans crazy lmao
bad crosshair placement killed me so much when i was younger and new to video games 😭 even my dad sighed in disappointment everytime i was killed 😂
Nah, to me there's nothing wrong with completely wiping out mobs in strikes.
I disagree with 8:17. Just because you only need 5 motes to get the boss, doesn't mean you should only deposit 5. Deposit 15 to not only get the boss, but put a large blocker on the other team.
I run submission and Doom of chelchis in crucible for every game and come top of the leaderboard 90% of the time
**Mentions Gandalf while showing ice magic.**
Ummmm. Actually? Gandalf was the servant of the Secret FIRE, wielder of the FLAME of Anor, as he wore Narya, the Elvish ring of power ("Nar-" being Quenya for "Fire").
So yeah. Great video, just had to get that out first.
Also throw in D2Armorpicker. Suuuuuuper good for picking out builds
As a titan main, I much enjoy punching explosive thralls
Hi I just started and downloaded the game today. I watched some of your vids but idk where to actually start. I am just following some quest for now and didn't actually know what to do or what is fun in this game. Haha
if i use stompees, should i still have a high mobility or should i put those points on a different stat?
Double primaries 😅 DOUBLE SPECIAL SQUAAAAAD! 😈
Hey there veteran Destiny 2 player here. Stopping to shoot those "trash mobs"...really? I got bounties to complete on Vanguard Strikes and it's hard when I got teammates speed running through them.
I have one: Thinking that the mobility stat boosts your running speed.
Was running 1550 nightfalls while trying some builds and kept running across players that are level 100+ on the season yet have no idea what an armor mod is. Nothing against new players but it gets annoying being the only one who can take care of champions
I watch rickkakus and Datto for full guides makes my life easier
Ok I know you just said the crucible is unfair but that fusion at 5:14 is busted. I thought that range was for pulses and GLs. What's the frame and the roll?
I am doing GM Strikes and Raids with my group, but I fudge up Super so many times. Throwing it right into the immune Shield. Ahhhhhh when will I stop with it.
So you mentioned some strikes and missions you can skip past the enemies and progress to the end and save yourself a lot of time although You don't really save any time if you kill everything instantly 😎😈
Bro that Erentil was clean tho fr
That thing was so nasty back in the day lol
tbf, we haven;t used the in-game inventory management since ishtar debuted lmao
Thanks for the vid Patty , I have played since D1 first month , but I still learned quite a lot !
as a semi not noob (been around since beyond light) I can safely say that I do not look at my perks on anything, I dont mastercraft anything, and I dont add mods to anything.
I dont know what it is about this game that keeps me coming back. It just feels satisfying to kill things in this game tbh
i've only been playing d2 for a bit over a year now, with guidance from a d1 vet
but man
i still made a lot of those mistakes lmao
Not gonna lie I was expecting the Skyrim intro when he thunder crashed into the void
0:48 i want an inventory like that...
I feel like the not skipping trash mobs isn't a noob mistake and more of a play style choice. I don't consider it time wasted if you're having fun. If the mission itself doesn't have a time limit then I'm going to take my time as long as I'm having fun.
only time i'll kill everything in a strike is if its a nightfall strike for that nice crisp score
I would be shocked if they didn’t know there subclass menu. That is a bold statement.
I subbed cause imma noob😂.I am still learning.i also have made every one of those mistakes you pointed out.i also see great players make the same mistakes occasionally.makes me feel better 😂.thanks for the tips
I still like collecting the full 15 motes even if we’re 5 away from a primeval just bc sending a large blocker there way is very handy. I would only do this if they don’t have their primevil up yet or don’t have enough motes to do so
Their*
i can't help melee-ing cursed thrall and screebs, my ophidian aspect is too OP😂
I did not just watch patty use a feeding frenzy rampage enyo as infusion fuel 😭
God where was this video when i was starting so many good guns down the drain because i dismantled them instead of upgrading them when i started
The only thing i disagree with is not killing things in strikes.
I cannot stand people rushing through strikes just to get it done, when i could be killing things just to get drops and the off chance occasional Exotic Drop from ads. Then look good when all of a sudden in the middle of a strike, it shows i found an exotic or a weapon/armor that could be better than what i already have. I for one dont mind going through and killing everything i see
AND PLEASE, SHOOT THOSE WEB / SLOW MINES!🤣
The cross hair thing tends to happen cause new fps players tend to want less visual clutter aka more screen that's not gun model. They don't look at the cross hair they look at the whole screen like you would in an rpg when u want to just look at the scenery. they look down to try to see around the gun instead of accepting that it can be a blindspot and actually using the crosshair to look around. Its a habit I've had to call even some of my fps veteran friends out on when they don't realize they are doing it.
The only exotic that doesn't matter what subclass you use is astrocyte verse. Yes you lose out on benefits to blink but you get free airborne effectiveness. Love the vid as usual though
There are a lot more neutral game/non subclass specific exotics than that lol
Ehh, I've got a friend who's in the top 100 for time played in Destiny 2, and was top 5 in D1 at one point, and he still uses the vault. In D1 his friend lost his Fatebringer and blamed DIM for it so since then he's never used it.
Been playing since D1. Had no idea I could adjust my FOV. Wow
It’s a more recent thing for console but PC has had it since launch of D2
It isn’t free real estate. It warps the screen like a fish bowl past 90. 105 on a console would be distorting like crazy. Use with caution and don’t be surprised if you miss your shots big time for a while while you get used to it.
