- Finally! This is my first video where I show my process on the doll repaint. I chose this Draculaura doll, from the monster exchange program series, because I loved her hair and her outfit. It inspired me to give her repaint a Harajuku-esque make over. ENJOY!
Materials:
Acetone

She's so awesome! I love the color combination! :D I'm going to try harder on my doll's lips. Yours look so good!
Thanks so much really appreciate that! :)
Dollightful you are very talented
Dollightful I love you so much
Beautiful repaint for Draculaura from Monster
Wow it's amazing!!!
holy shit she looks so good
Hola Jhonatan desde Mexico esa draculaura te quedo hermosa los colores tus conbinaciones Felicidades
Thank you so much
One thing I like about her is you also repaint her accesories and restyle her even better (love how you capture the geisha ness of her hair). ^_^ :bows:
THANK SO MUCH! :)
She looks amazing 👏👏👏💞💋💄👁✨🧛🏻♀️
Thanks so much!
This Kinda reminded me of the first Barbie doll ever made
She looks so lovely! I love all the attention to detail with her accessories. How do you do her hair like that?
Monster X Change 😍😍😍
I love how you consider eyebrows to be sisters! A lot of artists try to make eyebrows identical, and it makes the doll lose some character in my opinion.
Thanks! I feel like I sort of default on both sides of the face being sisters honestly haha. Totally struggle with symmetry.
Tell me what kind of product you use to seal your dolls?...by the way I love your work 😁
Thank you!
I use Mr. Super Clear.
Hi! Love your repaints :) Will you do an Ever After High custom sometime?
Thanks so much!! I'm not sure. I've though about it but I don't really own any so I would have to get one.
I would buy your doll compared to the a regular doll
aww thanks! I love the original and mine both!
She looks amazing, Im very new to this art so may i ask how many times do you seal her face??? =)
Thanks so much. I seal it 2-3 times before I start. Then during the repaint i spray it here and there when I either wanna build up color or if i want to seal a layer i like and don't want to mess up on the next steps. Then again at the end.
You hold pencils so weirdly :P
Very nice. I have to say you have the weirdest way to grab a pencil I've ever seen... no ofence.
Could you make a Marlyn Monroe Doll I always loved her look.
Kimberly Jackson I think me and my son are going to start doing these we have a ton of dolls so if so I’ll def let you know
How did you found out this is what you wanted to do? Like , that this is what you're passionate about? Not everybody is interested in dolls. What brought you here ?
It's really just a fun hobby of mine. I draw and design day in and day out at work and when I get free time I like to draw my personal work. I've always been interested in dolls since being a kid but never had any and as an adult I figured why not collect some that I like and I loved the monster high designs. Put my love for drawing and dolls together into one thing and BAM! There you have it. :)
So awesome but can't see half of the work 😕
Wow- do you sell any?
Haven't done so yet. Wanted to paint a few first and then maybe start selling later if there's an interest in them.
Where you buy those brushes for the doll eyes ?
Any local art store. Just get the sizes you need for your surface detailing :)
I love everything but the white on the bottom waterline. This takes it into a deeper drag. Perhaps that was the intent, however, it isn't attractive to me. Love the videos and am binging. I hit thumbs up before I even see the whole thing because I don't want to forget!
I love your videos but I think you need to set the camera up on the side that you don't draw on. That way your drawing hand isn't in the way of seeing the doll as you "makeup" it.
I mean it's not that much of a problem but some parts where you use pencils need it.
No I totally agree. I'm still trying to figure out the position so that you can view everything and I can draw comfortably at the same time. I'll get it right at some point I hope lol.
I'd suggest to use general light rule for that - if you're right-handed - place the lamp/camera on the left side to the center, and vice-versa. That way you will not be blocking yourself the needed light, and camera will get more to shoot. ^_^
you don't seal her?
Ravica I do I just don't film it.
Everything makes sense again hehe. You had me pausing there because you didn't mention it on the video ;)
