4 Types of Truck Builds

  • There are many different types of truck builds. Here are 4 popular types of truck builds! Which type of build are YOU?! www.customwheeloffset.com/
    Factory OEM Plus Build
    These types of builds don't require a ton of money or a ton of research to jump into and won’t impact factory performance but still allow you to personalize your truck.
    Show Truck Builds, SEMA Builds, Attention Grabbers
    On the opposite end of the spectrum, these builds are guys that are looking for attention or building a social following. They typically are after the biggest lift kits and widest wheels possible.
    Off-Roading or Overlanding Trucks
    The Overlanding community has a very specific purpose-built vehicle and what they're really doing is building a vehicle that is reliable and capable of going off-road. Whether you are offroading or Overlanding; you’re looking for the best possible results out of your vehicle, because it performs well and basically is simply living out of your truck on the weekends.
    Functional Truck Builds
    The end goal of a functional truck build is wanting to keep the functionality of the truck as a daily driver so it can haul some sheets of drywall in the back or hook up the boat and tow it to the lake for the weekend without any negative effects on the truck overall or its performance.

      Honestly I'm a fan of both, I have a 2nd gen Cummins and probably won't go off-road with it I'll just be towing, so I'm running 20's on there, in my opinion if you're not gonna go off roading you mine as well just make a pretty clean looking eye grabber, but for off-roading builds, 100% more tire than wheel is always way better🤘🏻

      I already had the rims and they do have deals for the tires but for me I don’t feel like it’s a price I’m willing to pay. I got the lift for 1500 and some change but I got it like 2 yrs ago. The prices change a lot. The local 4wheelparts place want to charge me 150.00 a shock and like 200 something a strut and I was like forget that just went to a license mechanic and had installed.

    • @joshuavaldez6925
      @joshuavaldez6925 Před 5 lety

      Your better off buy everything separately, all your doing is paying for a name when it comes to procomps tires and wheel packages.
      You don’t even have to get name brand tires either if you trying to save.
      All in all for the lift kit, and installing plus tires. I spent about 2500.00

      Nice yea the tires are a little more pricey so I think I’m just gettin the pro comp rims 6050 10 gauge chrome
      They’re only $197.99 ea for 20x9 rims
      And I’m gonna do a zone lift kit for about $1995.00 plus tax with installation i already got quote
      Still need to figure out tires

      @joshuavaldez6925 Před 5 lety

      That ain’t bad I’ve never personally tried out a zone but I heard they are good kits and well depends how much your looking to spend. You can buy some toyo open country M/T for like 350 ea or save some cash and get some amps for like 150.00 bucks cheaper. It really comes down to what you want.
